I've beeen thinking about getting it. But, there's one thing that will break the deal for me...
I absolutely despise having to use triggers for gas and brake. Can the controller settings be changed so I can use right stick?

I thought that was the default? That was the setup when I first started playing the game... sticks for stearing and throttle/brake, and the triggers for gear changes. If you go to the GT logo in the top left corner you should be able to change the settings by selecting controllers and pick the controller you are using. I re-mapped the "change view" to the button on the right stick... that was a mistake. It gets very distracting having the view change suddenly because as you've braked you've pushed down at the same time . I think I lost 10s in one of @Pigems lobbies trying to get the view back!

I'd be down for a daily race with trucks. Seems natural if you are from North America.

I own a full size pick up irl so maybe im a bit biased... this is not mine but it's identical.

Haha I would be down for that, I was actually thinking it’s ironic I love racing but it drive a lifted diesel truck.

Also got a question for you guys, is there anywhere that I can go to see lap times of only guys that use a DS4? Would love to know how I stack up in comparison.

There are many times when I’ll drive by only looking at my radar when I’m traffic, I’m always on radar unless I’m adjusting something, then it’s always right back to radar. :)

I've tried using the radar... and I just pay no attention to it!! I've got pretty good awareness of what's around me (use bumper cam with a nice big mirror at the top :D) and always give space if someone is alongside even if I can't see them but whenever I switch the radar on I never look at it anyway!

The radar is always on, unless i am changing tc or bb. I almost never look at it but the amount of times i have taken that quick glance as i hit the brakes just to see what my competitor is doing so i know what line i am taking, i can't count. I mean, why leave room if he isn't there.... this is done most when racing a trusted opponent, need to know if they nose in or tuck behind so i can react accordingly.

Also, nothing againt the truck guys, but i cant believe we have two trucks and no wagons, especially considering some of the high performance ones done in recent years. I always loved running whatever wagons we had in the older gran turismo games (for obvious reasons perhaps....)

My truck is getting replaced by an SUV sooner or later. But I love fast wagons, if I ever win the lottery... oh boy

A friend in Japan had this thing called a Stagea which was a GT-R Wagon. Very nice car.

But I've always wanted a Subaru Legacy Wagon. :D

@0604 i would love a stegea, i actually saw one at a rest stop on the 401 a couple years ago. Started telling the wife what it was and turns out the owner was at the next table. That was a cool conversation, be was planning to do a body kit that turns the front into a skyline. Always liked leggys, almost bought one when i got the one above. Which was meant to get better fitting wheels this summer and a cat/muffler delete, but i just didn't get around to it, yet. The list of wagons i want is far to long, i have a problem lol first car was an 83 pontiac full size wagon (by choice) wanted to turn it into a sedan delivery, but it was not the right candidate for that...... one day though I'll get another.

It's happened. I tried my luck with Race C again, ended up in stupid squabbles and crashed down to the B/C mines. Also, it seems the new meta in Race A is to spin your opponent out at the final corner and inflict the Orange Arrow of Shame on them.

Yeah, I've also fancied a Scuby Wagon in one way shape or form. There's something about that - I can take my family camping in this but still beat you off the line at the lights that appeals.

That being said, I've always a fancied a ute as well. Holden/Vauxhall used to do a Calibra based one. Someone had an import around where I live. Highly impractical actually, but looked and sounded very cool. Do they still make them @Invisigoth ?

@JoeyLeonine

That is exactly it! It's actually usefull but also fun to drive and possibly fast. The original sleeper. I do camping, snowboarding, and play drums, always needed more room, and as an automotive enthusiast i tried to stay away from an suv for as long as i could. The wife drives a journey, she wanted a magnum but they stopped making them and we couldn't find a high quality used one. Anyway the drive to the lake is immeasurably more enjoyable on those ontario back hwys in my wagon lol

I’m trying to buy a JDM Legacy wagon from a friend, but I have to wait a couple months for him to finish rebuilding his RS6 Wagon lol.

The Legacy is white like the one in your pic, and is one of the Bilstein Edition ones. It’s so freakin clean, I can’t wait to get my hands on it :D

Damn the people you meet in the weekend are something else.

This one called me a pos for going 3 wide (I would have cleared him before the turn) and too aggressive.

That's SR.S at the front of the pack on Saturday.

Down to 91 SR atm thanks to people like that, still hanging on to the dirty SR.S split.

Ooh! The race after was much cleaner, finally!

Thanks to a quick decision under the bridge to go wide and the game ghosting the car that got bumped into the wall :)

Then I had 4 laps left to catch the leader, caught him on the straight in lap 7.

Only +2 SR for that race somehow, to 93.

Edit: Just noticed that the guy from the first video send me a message complaining about my 'dive bombs' lol. Another one blocked.

I did 5 or 6 A races earlier. Saw @BenRod and a few other names i can trust. The racing was decent, but i just can't do it. The car is way to unstable at even such a slow speed that is just irritating. Ran some laps on B and C to prep for @Pigems lobby tonight. I am not gonna do well.....

Oh man, I've just seen what PD have arranged for us in next week's pieces of recycled crap... Deep joy...

I'll suck at Races B and C as per usual. Which leaves what I can only imaginr will be the FWDfestival at Autopolis again... Yes... I'll have part decent results... But I won't enjoy it...

Gonna have to try and get some more RBR carnage in Tomorrow and try to enjoy some more of the relative novelty value before its too late.

My biggest issue with race C is the fact that if you go for an overtake on a turn and someone grazes you and you graze the wall they get a penalty and vice versa. If it was hard but fair racing and neither one of you lost momentum or anything I don’t think it should be penalized. I’ve managed to win quite a few races in there, but man is it frustrating to get those random penalties... I got one for someone touching my real quarter panel and then grazing the wall, it makes me wanna quit the game when that happens.

You guys need to watch Mighty Car Mods . They did a modified Stagea build and as for the Legacy... Super Gramps ;).

@JoeyLeonine Australia has no car industry anymore. I think the Calibra stopped production in the late 90's.

The penalties in race C are really odd. Like you said, I’ve had incidents where the smallest of contact results in a penalty for someone.....and other times where there’s cartoon levels of contact, someone loses massive time, but no penalty.

On a different note, I think the Mustang Gr4 might be a bit of a sleeper in Race C. I’ve consistently been seeing Huracans, F-Types, SLS AMGs, and Vantages in the top 5 of almost every race I’ve done this week. I’ve seen one or two Mustangs, but not very many. I just did a race (B/B, started second, quali time was a 2:09.619) with the Mustang though, and it felt really really good. I out pulled the pole sitting SLS to T1 and held the inside line, took the lead, and then basically cruised to the easiest win I’ve had all week.

Of all the cars I’ve tried in this race so far, the Mustang felt the most consistent across the race distance. The front tires definitely went off a little bit in the final laps, and maybe because I had a 5 second lead I didn’t need to push, but the car still felt really well balanced on the last 2 laps. In almost every other car, I get some sort of catastrophic understeer in the final laps. Not with the Mustang though. It’s definitely a little bit sluggish and floaty through the “Death Chicane”, but it actually felt really good through the rest of the high speed corners. Very little understeer, and the softer suspension soaks up the bumps and road joints really nicely. With no TCS, you have to be a little careful exiting the last corner, but once the power goes down, the acceleration is really strong, and the top speed is decent as well (looking at the split times, I was pulling away from the SLS who was in 2nd on the front straight).

How dare you call the Nordchleife recycled crap! I don't even. :) Yet indeed, Autopolis again, still no Blue moon bay infield or what was that one track called we had one time only. Oh well, 2 weeks without Suzuka is an improvement at least.

I meant for Wreckfest... I want to drive it like GT.
