I was quite surprised by it, I thought it handled quite well but turn the traction control down to get best performance/handling
out of the car, might actually have to buy one.

Overall good top speed, responsive brakes and handling make it an all round good car to me. 👍
I've been looking forward to driving it to be honest

Excellent!! Thanks! And I always drive with TC 0.. except on or 2 Gr3 or Gr4 cars... :)

Yep, same :)

Numpty of the day award = moi...

Got a bit excited randomly bumping into some friends @ GR4 Bathurst (including one I haven't seen for years). Ended up battling one of them on track, stopped lap 5, take on 5 laps of fuel then realize it's a 8 lap race :dunce:

Gutted.....

Until I overtook my friend on last lap after he got penalty  :D

So I just completed my first Race B of the day, no incidents apart from one moment I got squashed into a wall on the straight as I went to overtake (cleanly, might I add)

I got no orange arrow, yet after the race the SR was red :/ and the squashers was blue! What a farce

Is it just me or did the Daily races switch at a later time than normal? I thought they always started the new Daily races at 11:00 pm on US West Coast, but when I looked last night, they were still the same. Not sure what time they did switch or if this is a permanent change or not. Anyone have info?

Agree, patient pay a great part in current penalty system.👍
The black limbo behind you was not as patient as you.:irked:
Did a similar last day.

Nicely done waiting on them to screw up! Thats the way to do it as they were pretty salty on each other early on. You could see it was coming. I was amazed that the guy that punted the other simply stopped and served the penalty on the spot,

Regained A in my second race today.

Is SLS Gr.4 competitive at Nurb GP?

Update:

Again DR A SR S after third Bathurst/race today!

Although I got a one orange SR and 5,5s penalty after pits exit!
I guess bcs yellow flags bcs guy in front who went out some seconds before - what I should, stop and wait at half of entering pit?
Maybe I did some little cut, I really don't know yet...

No matter, S is back.

Hello dudes, Rafael here from gtsportraces.com. I've currently launched an app for Android and we'll be releasing this week for iOS if everything goes ok in the BETA. I am attempting to wake up everyday at 4am (Brasil) to update the race on the website, which powers my app. If you guys haven't seen the app yet, you can check it out here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gtsport.companion

Have a good one!

Yes that's one reason I like the one make races for these times when you come across a car that you didn't know about and find you
like it...

The rolling start for race B is just hilarious. Starting first puts me right in the middle of the tight right hander and auto drive nearly throws my car into a spin as soon as it gives me control. Idk why they moved the rolling starts back so far but they are horrible now.

I agree. I've seen a few people spin just as the race starts the last few days because of this.

It's bad all the way down to 6th. Just a stupid starting grid!

Can’t wait for the IOS app. This looks amazing so nice work and excellent job. Hopefully you will expand the content to include stats?

They still change at the same time, it's the US and Canada that put the clocks an hour ahead ;)
Japan got rid of DST so it might just be an hour later until US and Canada switch back to winter time.

Looking forward to the Mount Panorama race tonight. I'm been doing some laps to get a good qualifying spot on the grid.
I wonder if someone care to give me some pointers from this video.
I know I can be more aggressive in the turns up the hill and I also brush the wall at some point so I know it's more to do, but when I watch the times the best guys do, its mind boggling to see 2.10 on this track.
Practice makes perfect :gtpflag:

0:39 you hit the brakes too early, stay in 4th and release the gas and coast until where are at 0:41
0:58 go as close to the wall as you can (without hitting it) and hold down throttle
1:00 hold the throttle down until 1:05 (with the right driving line you won't hit the walls), no need to touch the brakes
1:18 no need to shift down to 1st gear, as soon as you straighten out coming off that sharp left hit the gas and get to 3rd asap
1:28 hug the left as close as possible

You should be able to get 2:14-2:15, that's about what I get. I can try and make a video later.

Had 4 daily race C's under the "new" penalty system; one race at Suzuka (GR1) and 3 at Mount Panorama (GR4). Lost 30 SR points at Suzuka, followed by 7 at the first race Bathurst to put me at SR-B for the first time since I started the game. "Recovered" to SR-A (72) for now. Also saw a couple of other ex SR-S drivers in my races too!

Had annoying penalties at Suzuka for rear-ending a car in front that had been off track and then re-joined on the racing line directly in front me. Serve penalty, drop to the tail of the field, then repeat again. At Mount Panorama got dive-bombed in the first corner and ending up in the gravel trap. A few laps later going across the top of the circuit, the car in front hits the wall and I had nowhere to go but rear-end it; more penalties. Really annoying getting pinged for other people's mistakes.

Some tracks you need to qualify well, pray nothing happens at the first corner, and avoid the mid-pack carnage. The other 2 races at Mount Panorama I re-qualified and started 4th and 2nd and had really good races!

I will let you know how it comes together !

Love it when you smash your best lap time

That is the truth. Unless you are 6th or better it will normally be a rough race....

First attempt at the daily B, avoid one car braking early by going wide, turn, bump into car coming from behind at the apex, +3 sec penalty, -5 SR after the race, 1 incident.

Second race, get punted off in T1, no penalty, clean race bonus, +5 SR. Better!

Third race, punted into car in front of me at the corner before the start, no penalty, blue rating, yet no clean race bonus. A lot of dirty pushing and bumping in that third race. I managed to avoid it all by giving up positions, finished 10th

Fourth race, disconnected while waiting for other players. Oh well bye daily B, Bathurst up next.

I wish it was that easy.
Just completed three races at Maggiore, lastly qualified 3rd with 44.7.
In 3rd race it all went well, on lap 2 was up to 2nd, held OK until lap 8 when got a bit slow exit into the main straight, so the car behind got closer and tried to pass me while braking into the chicane. I was on the left, inside, and knew he would turn too wide so made a good undercut coming out of the chicane. I was on the right already, way ahead of him when he hit my car's rear left corner. I spun and also got 0.6sec penalty! Weird it is. I'll try to upload the replay and would hear your comments.

"0:39 you hit the brakes too early, stay in 4th and release the gas and coast until where are at 0:41"

^ Actually you can hold the gas down in 4th and go straight through that part til halfway (again at 0:41 brake and shift down to 2nd).

Atenza isn't my type of car, it feels slow on Bathurst (probably due to turbo and high elevation), the Corvette and RC F suits me better.

Thanks! I have worked me down to 1.16.045
My Achilles heel is the section you just talked about. I often come in to hot and loose all the gains that I picked up before it as I climb. I need a tighter left / right once I get in 2nd ...

Race A isn’t all that great, either. It’s easier to avoid penalties and collisions compared to yesterday, but the 45 AMG is hardly drivable in its current setup. Nürburgring GP just makes it a little more frustrating.

If you're not on the top 10 and you didn't save your lap, you can't watch it. I was referring to top10 lap times only. :)
Today's race C was again at my favourite racetrack Bathurst so I had to give it a shot and spent some time to get a good qualifying time.
I managed to get into the top10 again. :dopey: This time I manually saved my best lap in qualifying mode and this way it is also available in the top10 for everyone to watch.
By watching @Zkippe 's replay video of his insanely fast lap, I managed to shave off nearly half a second of my previously best laptime!

Yep. I also kind of treat that section as one long left-hand corner, rather than 2 lefts. The atenza is 4wd?, so might struggle in certain corners especially when the tyres wear out a bit. I find you need a car with plenty of torque to climb up the hill and maximise the corner exits on the straight.
