Are we still talking about setups? I'll show mine!

My room so small, it makes Harry Potter's room look gigantic. Here's my overview of my setup/room. I dedicated 5 minutes to cleaning up my room so I wouldn't feel embarrassed taking pictures for you all.

The black cables are for my recording equipment.
I use the same monitor for my computer stuff, which explains the wireless keyboard. As for the wheel, it's a Logitech G29. The platform it's sitting on can be moved back and forth. It RARELY moves when I'm racing with it. When I'm not using the wheel, it's on one of the shelves and the keyboard is in its place.

My mic arm, which is holding the mic (Blue Snowball Ice). This is what records my beautiful voice in my videos. :D
The two figures on the arm are the different versions of Ryuko (Kill la Kill), one of my favorite anime characters.

They're so cute. :D

Meanwhile, here's my setup, seeing as everyone decided to share their setups...

My PS+ is currently expired, and so does my R2 button, so my return to Sport Mode depends on getting the R2 button fixed first before renewing my PS+

Also bonus:

(And yes, in that card contains a GC8 named after a certain @TRL LIGHTNING)

Well this is mine. Reclined on the sofa. Until I'm in a race/on a hot lap... Then its a sit up, lean forward and rock side to side with the corners job. My wife laughs too. #racinglife

Of course 'my' rig is also shared...

Morning races.

Had to title the video :sly:

Stayed composed after the Slophy brawl

Again, if those SLophys worked together, I'd be sucking virtual Renault fumes. Maintained that gap to 2nd.

Good work on the Vantage, I can't get that thing to turn in reliably. I love the handling of the other two.
So that's where our sixth dining chair went.... :sly:

Since we're sharing driving setups:

Some really good driving on race A EMEA at the moment. Don't want to jinx it, but I'm up to 6 consecutive clean races!

Edit: 7 now, equalled my record! Better stop here though, just got back up to SR S, and I seem to recall that's where it gets dirty again ;)

I was on 6 straight clean and on the very last turn of Brand's for a 7th when the car behind ever so slightly touched my bumper. Orange SR down and lost clean race bonus. Also meant only 1 SR point for the race. Stupid system!

Sorry, but the pink rocking chair is just wrong.

Looking at all the DS4 and lazy chair set ups I feel a little disappointed that I'm not setting the same lap times as you lot with a G29 and Playseat Challenge.

ah man... i know i've spoilt myself with this cinema room garage conversion... but i frickin love it

edit: sorry, i should add - this was a video i was sending to our lads group before we were going to Le Mans

When I was a little kid in the 80's, every time I jumped over a barrel on Donkey Kong my left leg would go up like I was going over hurdles

Makes you go higher don't it?!!

Years back I was playing Resident Evil on a PS1. It was 3 in the morning and I'd had a couple of drinks. I felt myself moving closer to the screen as I moved down a dark corridor. As though moving slowly toward the screen was helping me creep down the hall. Approaching a locked door at the end of the corridor I pushed it open and could actually feel my hands move the controller toward the handle...ZOMBIE!!! I jumped up and let out a scream that woke the whole house.:O:lol:

I’ve posted it before, but seeing as we’re posting set up photos, this is my rig. :)

Funny how only UK, Japan, Australia and one or two others put the shifter on the correct side...... :sly:

It's actually a sort of maroon (my phone camera doesn't do accurate colour in low light) and I didn't choose it, the wife picked the chair up second hand.

And my times aren't that impressive either. I'm generaly 3 - 7 seconds off the aliens and 1 - 3 seconds off most of the lap times posted here. I still manage to maintain DR/B SR/S most of the time though, but last week was a disaster that took me down to DR/D SR/B

Rocking chair! I would end up on the floor. Extra impressive!
I sit forward with elbows on knees and feet firmly planted in a nice, wide, stable stance (or sitz). I still find myself leaning the controller and my shoulders into a corner when I outbrake myself though ;)

Yeh, but calling it pink made the put down work even better.:D

I'm a steady DR B too. I don't work on seconds off best times because it really depends on the total lap time, so 3 seconds off on a 2 minute lap is much better than 3 seconds off on a 1 min 30 lap. Instead of go by % over best in region. Generally my Q time target is around +3% of region fastest. Last week at Autopolis was my best ever at +1.5%, this week at Brands I'm at just over +3%. It's a good gauge for me as I know without even doing a race if my Q time is right. Up at 4 or 5% I need to improve and probably would not race. Close to 3 or 4% is enough to hold my own and lap with other DR B, likely be 6th to 10th on grid and make up places as faster qualifiers go off track ahead. Near 2% will generally put me in top 5 slots.

@Pigems imagine what a nice rig you'd have if you didn't waste money on all those stupid sticks to your left.:sly:

It's all about the get-out-of-jail-fre-Evo around Brands for me.

I have a 32.5xx currently with a 31.3xx opt from the last iteration, bearing in mind a 32.8xx was the best I could actually muster. If I have time this week we'll get sub 32. Just gotta dial it back in.

It'll never be rapid rapid... But in a race, when the elbows are out and you end up on the outside heading for the grass you can keep your foot in good and proper! It really is a blast!

Mind if I send you a PSN friend request? Think you're a fellow Brit, and looks like your quali times and ratings are pretty close to mine, would be good to have someone to compare to and race against, might even have raced together before!

I'm not racing much this week, but I can post my awesome setup
oKZua8n.jpg

NMS is on atm. I put the old 1080p tv next to the tv stand that now has a fancy 4K HDR telly on it. It's still good enough to race without waiting for the good tv to not be in use. I don't get to use my fancy sound system either, race volume is usually so low I can just make out when to shift. But I get to watch tv on the straights! Oh no chair either, there's a couch yet I do all my racing while standing since my back injury. Stretch while racing, but be careful not to walk out of the car in VR

I use headphones for sound, makes me able to race with out disturbing the rest of the family. Often I stay up and race .

I have headphones too, but my room muffles the sound quite well. Although they are very comfy and great for late-night racing, they've got Bluetooth and a mic, good battery life. :dopey:

I don't usually use them though, simply because I don't annoy anyone with my nyoom nyoom noises.

You're missing the point. I use the headphones so the rest of the family does not disturb me.:sly:

Yes, staying up late the headphones help but that creaky floorboard on the last step of the stairs has foiled my plans for getting away with "just 1 more race" many a time and got me in trouble. I've nearly perfected my 2 am Ninja entry into the bedroom (and depending on how you read that back it sounds pretty creepy).

Oh, I have that covered. I can sneak in so quietly that if she wakes up to ask when I went to bed I can say "long ago"(unspecified is important)

"Been in bed ages love, I just got up to *insert excuse here*"

EDIT: Hah, @The_Tullster posted the same as I typed.

Of course, the route in has to be "pre cleared" ahead of time in case the kids left any potential ambush material on the path, or there's a plastic bag or a couple of metal hangars on the bedroom door handle. I'll tell ya, online gaming when married is great practice for burglars.

Me to, me to. here is mine

The chair is just pulled forward from its normal home, and this is my normal morning routine in the pic lol coffee, marijuana (just enough for my old body achs and pains) and jay and dan on the other tv. I have a milk crate with a little piece of wood and a pillow to sit on in the rare instance i play gts when the wife is home.

Also i want to point out to the ds4 crowd, of which i was a very proud member till last xmas. Do yourself a favour and get some stick extensions like whats on mine in the photo. Not just rubber covers but actuall extenters. the ones i have are 1/2 an inch thick. Makes a huge difference in thumb comfort and steering ability/precision

Now to see if i can get any good racing today. Gotta finish buying new cars and warm up first though....

How does the coffee table not go flying? You got it nailed to the floor? The way I pull out of the wheel the legs of that table would end up hitting the ceiling.:boggled:

EDIT: Filthy habit that by the way. Disgusting stuff really....I can't stand coffee.
