Mine recycled from the Meme thread. :D

@6BK i tend to actually push down not pull up. That said i have shaken the table so bad i have nearly knocked my coffer over. Coffee is gasoline for my body, it wont run without it lol
@Gogga thanks. It's probably older than some people here lol house warming gift to ourselves when the wife and i got our first apt together in...... 2001 maybe 2000

Me to, me to. here is mine

The chair is just pulled forward from its normal home, and this is my normal morning routine in the pic lol coffee, marijuana (just enough for my old body achs and pains) and jay and dan on the other tv. I have a milk crate with a little piece of wood and a pillow to sit on in the rare instance i play gts when the wife is home.

Also i want to point out to the ds4 crowd, of which i was a very proud member till last xmas. Do yourself a favour and get some stick extensions like whats on mine in the photo. Not just rubber covers but actuall extenters. the ones i have are 1/2 an inch thick. Makes a huge difference in thumb comfort and steering ability/precision

Now to see if i can get any good racing today. Gotta finish buying new cars and warm up first though....

Is that Bong factory or aftermarket? :D

@Pigems Oh she's 100% stock, no mods. Have replaced the bowl many times though, it has a tendency to just fall out when you turn it upside down to empty/change the water lol

Btw i still intend to build a copy of your rig. As soon as i stop being lazy lol

I'm not racing much this week, but I can post my awesome setup
oKZua8n.jpg

NMS is on atm. I put the old 1080p tv next to the tv stand that now has a fancy 4K HDR telly on it. It's still good enough to race without waiting for the good tv to not be in use. I don't get to use my fancy sound system either, race volume is usually so low I can just make out when to shift. But I get to watch tv on the straights! Oh no chair either, there's a couch yet I do all my racing while standing since my back injury. Stretch while racing, but be careful not to walk out of the car in VR
I'm taking a break from NMS- got 100 hours in before Beyond and needed some time off before I go back in. Love that game.

In other news- here's one of the best saves I've ever had. At Le Mans last week- Luckily I still had TCS on at that point, otherwise I don't think I would have recovered nearly as well. :nervous:

A lot of people out there just want to race without worrying about fuel and tyre wear.

I don't mind that but I do enjoy the strategy of managing fuel, tyres and no stopping. It adds another layer of depth to racing.
I should have explained myself better.
There is nothing wrong with fuel consumption and tire wear functions added into the game.
Afterall, I loved that part when playing it back in GT3 and GT4.
However, my point was that beside dumbing down the S2000 to illogical BP figures, they also added features that hardly impact the race.
If you had given me at least 15 laps, then forced drivers to pit, then yeah it would make sense.

It would be cool to attach one of these to your bong before you "take off" ;) :p

The racing has been decent so far. Two podiums, and what should have been a win but ended up a 5th. On the last lap, the leader picked up a .5 so i knew if i stayed close and the guy i was fighting for second made a mistake i could get the win. In the second last turn he slid out a bit so i went down to the inside and had the pass, then he hit my rear quarter, he was not in control of his car still from the slide/attempted recovery, also i know him and he would never hit me on purpose. Anyway i got a 2 sec penalty for hitting an openent so i dropped way down after the finish. First time i have been truly victimized by the penalty system in a while.... oh and another sr loss down to 79.... so hard to gain or even maintain sr in this race. Maybe i should try my hand at the new time trials

Next race was a nice and clean 1 2 3 follow the leader. I was 2nd.

Driving setup posts? Here’s mine.

Would really like to change this up soon since my long legs don’t have nearly enough room to the pedals without cramping. Works for now though.

Would love to be at home racing Brands Hatch instead of at work right now haha

Race B is pretty quick SR repair. Only 4 laps. 6 SR for CRB.

Race A is very tight. Just checked the Americas region and 1:05.999 is around 500th place. 1:05.5 is around 70th place. You're in a great spot with your time....if you can get away.

Is that a Persian? Like a Super Villain :D
Why yes. She is a super villain. :D

Sometimes I honestly want to go to PD and slap the **** out of the entire team for the races they put up.

All the races this week are god awful, & unfortunately I had to do some to get my SR back up because after FIA even though I left plenty of room in some situations going through corners, if a guy bumped me we both (I assume both & not just me) got a negative orange down arrow to SR)

So I was at 87 I think, with 50K+ DR.

Thats now something around 45KDR and probably SR B after two rage quits because of the ****ing brands hatch race... too easy to run wide or get pushed wide on that circuit plus all the god damn B drivers taking points away and then blocking constantly.

**** this game, now I've got a ****ing slog just to try and get close to the 50K I was at, and the 99SR before saturday, jesus christ.

You think it's bad?
Having a heavy boat like the Mitsubishi GTO in such a small technical course like Tsukuba doesn't make sense.
What doesn't make sense either is having a perfectly fine car like the S2000 detuned for such a long course like Suzuka.
Bonus points: People trying to overtake on the S turns

I honestly wish they had at least one fast group every week.

Race C at sarthe with Gr.1 was an amazing race for me, went up like 18K driver score and had monstrous battles with people.

Brands hatch though? hate this track, Suzuka I normally love, but one make? gtfo PD.

I've no idea why a car like the GTO is in the game. It's crap, as they were in real life, and is the complete opposite of what you want to be doing. It's not fun so I'm not going to grind the lap. I've an opt. of 1:05.1 but I won't get it because the process isn't fun.

The GTO was the Godzilla of GT1, it’s a classic GT car and definitely deserves to be in the game. :)

I’ve posted it before, but seeing as we’re posting set up photos, this is my rig. :)

I still love the fact that you built it with a real Civic driver's seat. 👍

So, I took my new Dodge out for a spin. Of course, I tested it in my usual way. It's a great jumper! I can't believe how many times it rolled. I was super proud of my Super Bee. :D

Pigems, I think you're gonna enjoy this car. It drives really nice, compared to the other muscle cars in the game.
I know a lot of people feel the opposite, but I'll take cars like this in a heart beat, over race cars. :)

Had all good races this morning, it's amazing how different the quality of opponents you can have one day to the next. Had a group of names i know and trust in nearly every race and because of that i got back up to 99 sr. I also hit and passed 150 wins, yay me.

Honestly one of my favorite aspects of Sport Mode. I love seeing or sending the “Good to see you again” message. Really is a thrill to be able to race cleanly against the same drivers over and over.

I just scored a win too. Not quite at 150 yet.

QT 1:05.830. Started 2nd. Somehow held it together. My last lap wasn't great so I was very lucky to hold on. 14th win. Was stuck at 13 since early this year.

it's working against me as well.. i'm at the top end of DR.B (28k).. but the 2 races i've had this week have been against a mix of A+/A/B and i've held my own and gained places and not got in any trouble - but dropped DR on both. I may as well just take a dump and keep my trousers on.

Hey Duggee!!!!

Life currently revolves around Duggee...

Mind if I send you a PSN friend request? Think you're a fellow Brit, and looks like your quali times and ratings are pretty close to mine, would be good to have someone to compare to and race against, might even have raced together before!

If you haven't done so already then go for it! PSN is same as this - joeyleonine

You're missing the point. I use the headphones so the rest of the family does not disturb me.:sly:

Yes, staying up late the headphones help but that creaky floorboard on the last step of the stairs has foiled my plans for getting away with "just 1 more race" many a time and got me in trouble. I've nearly perfected my 2 am Ninja entry into the bedroom (and depending on how you read that back it sounds pretty creepy).

My wife is used to me coming to bed late. I don't sleep much, 5 hours is my full 8 hour sleep, hence so much time for racing. I usually sneak in at 2am which can be dangerous as she sometimes has bad dreams and goes into full attack mode if I make a noise. It's been a while since that happened as she sleeps with the tv on and usually the fan as well. I can easily stay under that noise level :)

Could be worse. Don't let the Canadians turn this into a hockey thread.

Don't have to worry about me, I dislike watching all sports equally. I don't even have the patience to watch a top 10 lap to see where I can improve. Do, not watch.

I'm taking a break from NMS- got 100 hours in before Beyond and needed some time off before I go back in. Love that game.

Even further off topic, how do I fix this bug where my hydrophonic trays don't have power on my freighter. They had power at first, then I added a couple more levels to the freighter, then tried to plant some stuff with the game complaining I had reached some limit. So I removed the top floor again and then all the stuff lost power. It's a great game, but still so many glitches.

The scientists etc didn't respond either on the freighter so I just kicked them out again. It would be so useful to have a teleporter on it instead of first flying to the space station.

I'll do some hatch races later today, see how it goes. I'll probably pick some random car to try, all suggestions welcome. Is Ferarri any good in GR.4? I've only used the 4C so far, I've only done 3 races on the hatch so far. Very low for me.

I've tailed off sports since I got this game to be honest. I just keep up for conversations sake now.

I've always wanted to ask if you watch video, lap guides and followed ghosts. Had a feeling you didn't. You just do it. (Wish I could do that) ..... You're a freak.
