Just had another go at Race A and I keep spinning out or having to lift coming down the hill. I think I’m gonna call it a week, I just don’t have the patience required for this weeks races. See you Fellas next week.
Do some liveries. I started a major new one a couple days ago, because I was tired of the races.
I find it to be a really enjoyable way to pass the time.

I was just gonna practice for the Miata race on Sunday and do the WRS Time Trial, but that’s a good idea, Thanks.

Yesss Bathurst is the ****. Too bad they always make it a lap too short for some reason. Oh well time to bang out a time. No idea what the meta car is. M4 has been my best lately. Love the way it drives and it sounds awesome with my astros cranked up. Backup cars are the genesis/viper/gtr.

The Ford GTs are starting to show up. Last race had a McLaren BMW win, then 2 Ford GTs, me in 4th.
Before they showed up I managed to snatch another victory!

I was unaware of this bathurst fact.

The track is 6.213 km (3.861 mi) in length, and is technically a street circuit, and is a public road, with normal speed restrictions when no racing events are being run, and there are many residences which can only be accessed from the circuit.

As a public road, on non-race days and when it is not closed off during the day as part of a racing event, Mount Panorama is open to the public. Cars can drive in both directions around the circuit for no charge. However, a strict speed limit of 60 km/h (37 mph) is enforced, and police regularly patrol the circuit.

I did one Race C in the Lexus. Maybe I got lucky, I expected an SR killer. I was bumped twice at the first corner which I kind of expected while people are adjusting to braking areas. Other than that, pretty clean race throughout. Lots of Ford GTs which I originally wanted to use but saw it was meta <yawn> so passed on it.

I started last in a mix DR A/B lobby without a time, finished 11th. Hit the wall for 5 seconds. Unfortunately collided with a Ford GT in front at the last corner who was sideways and on the verge of spinning out for 2 seconds (nowhere for me to move). Guy insta-left the lobby before I could apologise.

Rain is an interesting (and dare I say, fun) challenge which is a nice change over another Tokyo day race.

Did some mid-night daily races, just for fun and the lols, both at Baaaaaathurst.
Since it was just for fun I figured I'd make it more interesting and do a no-quali challenge, with some ah... "interesting " car choices. I'll upload them to youtube so you guys can see the videos and stuff. My DR went sliiiightly up, and my SR slightly down (from 99 to 97) because of a few incidents, plus the races being so short I can't recover too much SR.

It's a lot more chaotic at Tokyo right now. 2 races in a row I end up with bs penalties, down to 86 SR now. Hopefully that will turn around, SR.B in the rain sounds scary. The penalty system still does business as usual. Racing at evening time is always risky.

Another victory from 15th in the 80-89 SR room. However I lost SR again, the penalty zone screwed me, ghosts materializing every where  Then a lot of bumper tapping, attempt to pass or slow down ugh. Down to 80 SR.

and the second race!

in the "UWUron" (i don´t know, just some random colours and a black "UWU"), bit of a punt on lap 2 on this one and a nice save on the mountain curves.

do you guys think I´m clean enough as a racer? Just to see what your opinions are, haha
*edit: again posting at 2 am, I guess I dont learn to merge messages :banghead:

Bathurst Q time @ 2.3% of region best after only 10 hot laps (2.14.3 with 2.13.7 optimum) so that means I’m good to start. 1st race totally unprepared and drop from 4th to 10th with 3.5 sec penalty. Next was hum drum 4th start to 4th finish. Next started 5th, finished 4h with CRB & fastest lap. I’m too tired and one glass too many for a 4th. Looks like I’ll be competitive this week. At least I got my stickers on right.

All this talk about spinning on the hairpin made me able to recognize what happened when I zoomed past a Ford GT and it spun right into me. Still blowing by you guys who run no TC, but taking the outside line.

Daily Race C is so much fun. It turns out rain is the perfect antidote for fast-but-aggressive drivers who brute-force their way to the front; that strategy doesn't work in the wet at all. I love that the rain only rewards careful driving. Rain also seems to be a good equalizer between the top speed and superior handling cars. I honestly only have an issue with wall penalties when you're awarded one after you've already spun out, spinning out at the hairpin is enough to ruin your race without a five-second penalty, which is very easy to do when you lead an entire race and realize @Sven Jurgens is lapping a second quicker than you with clean air in front of him...

Again victory from 15th. I got to first in lap 4 and won with a 14 second lead. Matchmaking fail, I was the only DR.A in the room. Check out the chaos in the first lap. I was also the only one without a red dot at the end. Chaos!

I got +1 SR for that race, to 81 SR  Ready for more chaos.

And another victory from 13th, this time with a 35 second lead . And SR went down again because of this:

What do I get a penalty for?

Down to SR.A now, 77 SR left.

Have you come across any A+ people in your races? I imagine that we're all staying away from the C race for very obvious reasons.

Yes, there was one farming wins for a while or waiting for some competition. I raced him for a bit when he crashed and fell back. And there were a couple trying to race from the back but didn't do too well. They didn't stay long. It's not bad at the front, mid field however...

I got to 2nd from 14th in the SR.A lobby with fastest lap. Pole was about as fast as me so after I got to 2nd in lap 4, the gap to first didn't change much. Matchmaking needs to try harder, the last bunch of races were all over in lap 4. No penalties, yet only +1 SR after all the bumps, 78, still SR.A Break time!

That was painful to watch, I was looking forward to a good duel in the last lap. Good racing with you! Currently I'm stuck in SR.A, easy races but I can't avoid all the bumps in the first few laps. So much chaos. I'll climb back up in the morning when people have more sense :)

At sub 90 SR there's always someone with 20+ sec in penalties in the first lap

Here's my worst penalty of the day, totally my fault.

At least a few races before that we had a good fight. At one point you and another car split me in the slipstream going into turn one and somehow no one was put into the wall. I was screaming the whole time but holy **** it was a good race.

My race C experience and observations:

Leaping lizards but that is addicting. Drive 600 miles today. Don’t tell my wife.

Put in a lot of qualifying practice, like I always mean to, and had a good start to the day, collected a win and my Senna trophy.

Someone mentioned it and I agree, it rewards careful driving. Despite all the penalties the wheat still gets separated from the chaff.

Never give up and keep pushing to stay in range to benefit from a penalty. You never know what’s going to happen up the road.

My pick for unfair advantage car would be the Mclaren. That sucker drafts like a son of a biscuit! Leaves everyone who doesn’t have a tow or a big engine standing still in the tunnel.

To heck with the gatekeepers, I’m turning traction control UP this week!

You get a red dot and you get a red dot and you get a red dot and and and...

Senna remembers...

"I'll never forget my first race (13 years old) with rain... a disaster... a joke... Pilots passing me on the right and on the left. That day I saw that I couldn't race in the wet..." (He finished the race on the grass) "After that day, when it started to rain, I was going to the Go-kart track to train"

Viviane Senna said that these days he trained until dark...

Well how ‘bout dat.. I’m 100th in America’s at Tokyo. What the bloody hell is going on here?
Jeez, the guy in 3rd was in my race last night and he had a qualy of late 2:13’s so he’s absolutely nailed it since then.
