All these acronyms are fun. Is there a way to change my GT Sport name that I don't know about or do I need to change my PSN gamer tag?

You can just change your PSN name if you want to use a tag, the first one is free, I think it’s $5 after that. :)

Can we not just call you Chief Pigems???

Race A
1:06.894

Still struggling to keep the car from getting away from me, too many over corrections and getting on the grass.
I need to find a way to smooth out the lap further.
Thought I’d get a few laps in before the update.

That would be this guy. ;)

Nice lap! Keep working at it man, you’ll get it.

I actually may just make my own team, I was gonna ask @Mistah_MCA if he was interested in co-captaining a new team with me, I just need to think of a good name.

Hang Time. :dopey:

Don't know who is watching but Aidan Millward has just put up a history of the Bathurst 1000 video. Times nicely with having the mountain as race B this week and the race in a week and a half.

I'm only seeing a badge engineered one make caricature of "The Great Race". The real deal was a touring car race ;).

You may have just given me the best idea so far!! Shake’n’Bake Racing, SBR, or SnB and you can add the R if you get to 50k/A+ to become SnB_R. :D
You would need approval from Groundfish for that one. Hmmm... Can't tag his name. He seems to have deleted his profile for this website. Damn it. :grumpy: He can still be contacted through PSN.

Oi @Pigems, I got some ideas for ya!

Pigems Racing International (PRI)
No Team Racing (NTR)
Megip Motorsports (MMS)
Pig Pen Racing (PPR)
Backstarter Racing (BSR)
No Qualy Racing (NQR)
Daily Racing Team (DRT)
Weekly Racing Team (WRT)
Rainbringer Racing (RBR)

Any more suggestions??

SIDENOTE: achieved a 2:13.1 in Race C today in the Ford GT, with an optimum of a 2:12.7 and using the right analogue stick for the pedals.

That’s weird? He’s still in the weekly race group chat. We’ll have to try him there. :)

Wow, you’re chalked full of great ideas tonight, Thanks! The Ford GT does well in the rain, I liked it the best. Great Lap man! This has got to be an extremely tough combo with a DS4!

Chef @Pigems is a better way to call him. I hear he cooks good food!

I feel ya on that. Grew up with NASCAR despite now being in New Zealand. Watched a similar evolution into over-engineered aerodynamic monsters complaining of aero on a half mile track. There can still be good racing at times though. Especially if Whincup is told to manage his fuel again:eek::cheers:

After a bit of a wait (thanks YouTube and crappy internet ) I've finally done my first daily! What do you think, guys? Am I clean enough as a racer or am I dirty?

Great race, don’t slow down for traffic though, run your own race, don’t let them brake your rhythm by following their actions like a magnet once behind, kind of hard to describe but to me it’s like a mind warp where you no longer have control of your actions because your too concentrated on blindly copying the person in front without knowing it.

That's good work, congratulations on your first victory. Plenty more to come I expect if you keep up that pace.

The guy in second race clean too, which is nice to see especially in a beginners lobby. He had a couple of opportunities to "send it" up the inside at the hairpin and didn't do it. Make sure to thank other racers like that when you meet them, as unfortunately not everyone races quite so fairly.

@Supergtp definitely a good start. Way better than I managed for a while. I second the above guys, thank the clean racers as it lets us know people are watching if we have a good clean race as well as if we are somewhere else in the race we can see who not to worry about punting us. Also try to make sure you stick with your fastest line if you can, don't change while behind others unless you have to in order to stay clean. It is very easy to get stuck into a conga line with braking points and turn in spots you don't know if you blindly follow.

Thanks for the kind words guys!
I just did a Race B, finished 6th, well behind a pack of Meganes (jesus those things are fast, it's undefendable on the straights :guilty:) and a fellow british had the fastest lap. I would normally not pay much attention to it, but uh... the car he was in... uh... :boggled:

What, when, how?

There is such a difference in Race B from the top tier of drivers to the next tier down. I'm a BS driver and after 3 straight wins was paired with the best of the best. Started 10th. Had a not so great race and the next race was against the second to top tier drivers, started 2nd.

It's just amazing to me how fast some of you are. I try and try to set a good time and am very happy with my 2:13.7 and then I see about 7 cars in a row with a 2:12 and go

Loving this Tokyo race in the rain! (Not so much for RBR) - For the first time I was forced to pick another car over my beloved M6. - Racing in the Hurracan! The M6 just cant keep pace in the super long straights. With the M6 my best time was 2:16.3 and with the Lambo I managed to bring it down to 2:14.8. Still room for lots of improvements!

For me it is not easy to switch cars since I only use the cockpit view and there is a learning curve every time I am in a new car. But this time, I felt like it was worth the switch, and it paid off.

Three races already! - First race I got a total of 18 sec penalties!! - This race is insane! Where else can you start in 2nd, pushed around and punted to dead last, and then make your way back to finish in 5th?

I abuse that sometimes... Someone is right on my tail and doesn't pass or keeps the distance but bumb draft then I deliberately take a wider line in a turn and lifts to make it while I see him run off in the mirror
