Reached a milestone today.

Running qualifying laps at Spa is getting really frustrating. Cutting Raidillon right at the start of a lap invalidates that lap AND the next lap. I've managed a 19.0 but have an optimal of 18.4 :grumpy:

And I can guarantee that if I cut the corner at Raidillon I'll drive the rest of the lap perfectly. So many laps ruined by this level of corner cutting :banghead:

That said, I was on for an 18.5 but put a wheel on the grass when braking for the final chicane.... Time to do something else I think.

Race C, P8 > P7, blue S, +400 DR, one stop fuel & tyres in a Jag. Don't care about the positions, this track is FUN :D

Edit: and red dot for me, track limits at Eau Rouge / Raidillon. Got impatient :dunce: :guilty: . And an oragne SR, missed a gear on the apex of T1 and got nudged by the poor sod behind me.

Would that mean they could get away with it on the final lap of the race as they'd be over the line before the got the penalty?

Imagine leading out of Blanchimont on the last lap only to get done by that on the final corner

Yes it will work on the last lap too. As much as I hate this cheat it would be funny if someone crashed trying to do it on the last lap, anyone seen this happen yet? :mischievous:

Tried B, glitched grid. Qualy P8, P5 started in pits and every one behind stuck on auto drive going round in circles trying to queue up behind the stuck car   :mischievous:. Waited well long enough for a start then quit, cost nearly 600 DR and 5 SR for quitting but meh... it's late.
That's it for me racing for tonight, need sleep.

Luckily Spa is fun, cause I apparently suck at it. My best lap so far, mid 2:22 flat out in the Audi, then I have to take on 2 laps of fuel to complete the race. My average finish position so far is 11.4 lol. I'll blame the 2 disconnects for putting it that high... I reset my DR not to trundle far behind the A+/A crowd but not doing much better there lol. 3 top 5 finished before my quickly recovered SR put me right back with A+ and A as a C/S driver

I'm just going to enjoy the track in different cars. I'm not feeling like doing the fuel puzzle again, I did that all last week. Just trying to stay out of trouble, go for the CRB. It's a wide track with lots of run offs, I don't do well on most of them. See you in the back on Spa!

Tried out Spa several times in the Huracan and stopping after 5 - 6 laps (6 is the most she'll go flat out) which has been going well until I make an embarrassing mistake somewhere along the line after. 1st was at Double Gauche, I slid and span at the edge of the track. 2nd time along Courbe. That resulted in a 15th - 20th bracket finish from 8 - 10th. :embarrassed:

Next time I'll try replacing tyres. Back tyres become pretty worn towards the end and grip loss is noticeable. I'm DR D/C level at this track (first time racing it ever) and losing DR every time I race but it's a lot of fun.

Who else ran out of fuel their first time at Spa because they couldn't find out road? lol

I haven't raced this track in years...I could have swore pit lane entrance was on the straight after the turn 1 hairpin.

This has to be the worst pit enterance in all of Motorsports.

Sidenote...anyone else enter the pits and the screen just shows your pit crew for like 10 seconds before your car shows up? It's not helping my awful lap times.

I had more trouble finding the pits on one of the Tokyo tracks. It took me 10 laps in qualifying mode to work out where it was, right at the back end of the track and nowhere near start / finish.

The Spa pits historically were after the first hairpin, that used to be where the start/finish was located. They were moved to allow installation of a longer pit lane with more garages.

It used to be right after la Source, but for safety reasons they moved it to the current location.
I think it works well, actually, even if there is a long way to drive through pits.

Enjoyed a bunch of races at Spa yesterday. Gained 6k of DR, I’ll lose it all by the end of the week when everyone gets it figured out.

Done a few RBR, no qualifying is the way to go. Let the 1st lap of mayhem calm down and bust the ghosts and wave at the one’s off track.

Hope to see some of ya’ll out there today. Good luck and have a good day of racin!

Bathurst. That's always Bathurst. GTSport makes it particularly bad as when you mess it up the game resets you on the start finish straight with no way of getting back to the pits.......

The Tokyo pits are absolutely in an odd place, but do it right and you can drift into the pits in a very satisfying way :)

I think i accidentally blocked a guy pitting at spa last night lol. Seemed to be a combo of him looking for pit road and me passing him. He braked early for the chicane and allowed me to get up the inside. So we went side by side into the chciane but i was on the pit lane side so he would have hit me going for the pits.

Edit: should have added that he ended up going off track near the pit wall without contact as i assume he missed the pit entrance or was still looking for it lol

I will find out who this person is when I wake up, as I am going to bed right now.

Unless if you (the person reading this) happens to be the one doing 2:19's on a no-stop, quote me with your secret. :D

Zocker was live streaming Spa yesterday and racing from the back in the 911.. FM2 and no stop and he was doing 2:21 - 2:23 but did notch a 2:20 as a one off. The fastest lap was in the 2:19's ... maybe @zavisic_ can give more detail as he was right up there 👍

I don’t think I’m the person in question but I have managed a FL of 2:20.2 and run the remaining all the mid 2:20s except for a lap that I binned from braking too late. 18:51 PR currently. I think sub 50 is doable on a no stop for sure.
