Just ran a race this morning and had a guy no stopping in the Aston? Didn't realize it was that good on fuel. Also found that the couple of times I kept it floored flat through the complex I would be able to massively pull away from him. Still have to have the line exactly right or you get the wonderful penalty. They need a second penalty zone somewhere I think.
 
I'm in the SR Death Spiral. When your SR drops so you get sent to the creche/naughty group where people can't make it through the chicane at the start and brake mid Radillion. Drive around the outside of them and they just punt you in the next braking zone, because flashing their lights makes their car immune to physics. Then you get the inevitable penalty and pop goes the SR score for that race.

Note the evasion at La Source and the lifting down the hill to give the weapon some space.



Someone Fraga'd me earlier, my day is complete.

All said and done, I'm loving the racing though. I've just stuck with the Merc and not gone to try the faster combinations.
 
Guys, today was my second evening at race C, and I can honestly say that the fastest car is Huracan. While I said in the previous post that Ferraris limit would be around 18:40 race time, Huracans might be around 18:35.
I did today my best current race, which is 18:39, but I think I can get it to about 18:37 or 36 as the week progresses. We will see.
My brake balance is - 5, if anyone will eventually be using the Huracan.

Haha, that would be me on my second account! I was browsing GTPlanet waiting for the race to start and saw you on here saying you wanted to race with GTPlaneteers so thought I'd say hi!

I was somewhat inspired by Fraga using the Alfa Romeo so thought I'd give it a go, and have to say it really holds it's own at Spa. It's fantastic on fuel, short shifting at 50% leaves enough to race with when needed, and kind to the tyres too. My second account has a terrible qualifying time so I've been racing from the back to have some more fun and have had a really good evening.

In the race we just had the below unfolded in front of me. The penalty system didn't know what to do so assigned most of the blame to the completely innocent Swiss guy in the NSX :lol:



This was my most successful "near the back to near the front" race too, finishing just behind @doblocruiser

So yeah, try the Alfa. Nobody else uses it!
 
Well that's a new one for me. I come up on lap 7 thinking I'm perfectly on track with my fuel while cursing the Atenza for being so slow, 3.0 laps of fuel left for the last 2 laps :banghead: I got tapped during the race anyway, no CRB, try again. The last 2 laps were a lot faster :lol:

Had a md version of that on my second attempt today as well. Almost like him winning that race seemed to legitimize the move for some people.

My second race was a blinder, punts everywhere into the chicane at the start, people driving straight through it. People spinning at la source. Messy. Got dive bombed into the chicane twice, both times I had no idea they were coming and both times got lucky as they ghosted. It can be messy but I seem to be holding out, finally got a positive DR in a race so I've got that going for me.
 
Perhaps I'll see you, 3rd attempt in the Atenza, it's pretty rough atm (dirty hour + bad internet during prime time)
I'm only at 18.8K after resetting my DR on Monday so likely in the B/S room.

@Pigems oof almost qualified!

And nope, I'm in a full B/S room. That's odd, your race is starting 30 seconds faster. All those fast guys must be on ps4 pro!

Slow 'n steady, high 2:24 / low 2:25 laps no stop, 8th, CRB, Lancer up next.

Haha yeah that's why I reset my DR on Monday. I kept getting in those rooms with my DR from the ring while barely managing 2:27 laps flat out still learning the track. Then I pit and didn't make it to the finish in time :lol:

B/S room again. Spa is popular so I likely won't see you until much later. Aww, you got one B/S driver starting behind you :)

Lancer is worse than Atenza, tight on fuel. I was in 8th but lost a spot coasting to the finish.

I have a very stupid question. I am very new to SPA, as this is the first GT game I've played. I've run the track probably 25 times and I'm just learning all the in's and outs (loving it btw, and still have a lot to learn).

My stupid question is, where the heck is the pit entrance??? I see where it takes me on the way out, but while doing race C, and needing fuel it occurred to me "I don't recall ever seeing the out entrance" and what I thought was the entrance, was blocked off.

I ran out of gas and quit. Now I'm here, prepared to be mocked for asking such a silly question :lol:

Go right then straight at the chicane. It's hard to see since the walls blend together. It's on the right of the start straight, entrance from the final chicane.

Another B/S room and yep pretty clean tonight!

Jinxed myself, got rammed off in the 4C, spinning in the grass, reset and lost CRB. The 4C is really nice to drive on Spa, easy to manage fuel as well, no problem taking it for another round.

Five o’clock sitout then back in. BS way cleaner tonight.

Same thing happened to me. Been a while since I raced at Spa (GT6) and totally forgot, didn't even check to see if a fuel top up was needed either so I was totally out of it.

Now I have checked up and can advise the entrance is directly to the right, at the final L/hander going into the straight.

It isn't easy to see but it's there, I promise you. Cheers.

Tried my best to stay out of trouble but people are milking the penalty system as their main strategy to get ahead!

Started 15th and finished in 15th.

900 DR and 33 SR flushed down the toilet 🤬

Will try again but boy, it seems like the price to race Spa with faulty penalties.

You punted me right off the track and didn’t even get a penalty for it! It’s no wonder you wound up with more of them if that’s how you drive.

Dude... easy! it was a bad race all around for me. First race at Spa. Got hit few times and Tried to make for lost ground.
Btw sorry for that! I’m not sure what happened with non penalty.

Thats your problem, not mine. Make up for lost time without hitting other cars, if you can’t do that, then go practice more. I practiced, and was having a good race until you decided to “make up for lost time”, why the 🤬 is your race more important than everyone else’s?
