Welp.. looks like times are still there. They "fixed" the rain, but no mention of Spa cheats .

I'm assuming these are the new barriers that were added to stop the cheating.

Haha, that would be me on my second account! I was browsing GTPlanet waiting for the race to start and saw you on here saying you wanted to race with GTPlaneteers so thought I'd say hi!

I was somewhat inspired by Fraga using the Alfa Romeo so thought I'd give it a go, and have to say it really holds it's own at Spa. It's fantastic on fuel, short shifting at 50% leaves enough to race with when needed, and kind to the tyres too. My second account has a terrible qualifying time so I've been racing from the back to have some more fun and have had a really good evening.

In the race we just had the below unfolded in front of me. The penalty system didn't know what to do so assigned most of the blame to the completely innocent Swiss guy in the NSX

This was my most successful "near the back to near the front" race too, finishing just behind @doblocruiser

So yeah, try the Alfa. Nobody else uses it!

Nice! I wasn't sure if we were in a room before since I remembered the name. At the busstop I wanted to make a move but wasn't sure if I could make it stick so I backed off. I knew on the straight I would have another chance with less risks. I found the Alfa rather fast in the twisty sections but straightline seems its weakness. Thanks for the nice little battle 👍

Welp.. looks like times are still there.
Asia / Oceania and America's both have had the top of the leaderboard culled of cheat times. Fastest for both is now in the 2:16's and I checked fastest replays on both, they're legit with no cutting of the final chicane. (Didn't watch the rest of the lap or slower qualifiers though, trying to cook dinner for the kids while doing this).

I've read a few comments about falling back to B/S rooms. How can you actually do that? I was quite a few times with a+ drivers but that is way above my league.
What's your DR? Rooms are filled by SR rating first, then by DR. If it's early morning or very late at night and there's not enough high SR drivers to fill a room with equal DR rank, it'll fill up with lower DR so you may end up racing at those times with DR-A+ all the way down to DR-E if it's really quiet.
If you want an SR-S race, you can't just rack up a few penalties to tank your SR. If you are DR-B, race at busy times and you'll usually end up with similarly rated drivers. If your DR is higher, you'll need to park in the pits and lose a few races (run race C, pull in to the pits anywhere before last lap and just don't select whether to change tyres or not, then go make a cup of coffee or watch TV with the rest of the family).
Or run an alt account.

Kewl! I was just going off the update notes, they didn't mention Spa.

Ah, yeh, I didn't look at the top 10, just my own time, which was still there. With my time I just missed out on the top 10 ;).

I was with you in the race before and I have to hold my hands up to completely dive bombing you at turn 1. The other thing to note about the Alfa is that you can brake much later than other cars, and this sometimes caught me out. I wasn't even thinking about an overtake but before I realised it I was on your inside. Hats off to you for having the awareness to leave me room and avoid an accident, but that wasn't the kind of overtake I take any pride in. (Maybe Daniel Ricciardo would!)

In a similar story, in our second race I'd seen you'd pitted (I was no stopping) and you were catching me up. There was a bit of a gap to a group of cars behind you and I didn't want to lose a load of time battling with you. I signalled for you to pass me into the final chicane but again forgot about the Alfa's superior braking, and just out braked you anyway  Again you had the awareness just to follow me through the chicane and then take the position up the hill. I was planning on using your slipstream to keep the cars behind at a nice gap, that worked a treat and half hoped I could get back past before the finish, but there was no chance! 👍

Always fun to be in races with GTPlaneters :gtpflag:

Morons everywhere this morning :banghead: that combined with the Citroën's claustrophobic cockpit and you have a recipe for disaster

@watto79 no problem and I race you anytime  Haha I was surprised how late you got on the brakes with that little red machine

<My 2.20805 is still there.

Well, got my S/S ranking back. One race at RBR. Started 4th in the 86 and finished 4th. Sweet handling thing. Now, I'ma try the Supra at Spa(was going for the RC F, but running "real" Toyotas).
Edit: Alrighty then...

The best time on the EMEA Live Board is kie25 at 2:17.033
There are two versions of the EMEA live board up, I'd guess that PD have culled EMEA but Kudos is doing slightly weird stuff with the two sets of data. Check the in-game leaderboard maybe? I don't have an EMEA alt.

With regards to the Race C EMEA leaderboards, it's as if PD have just started the event again after stopping the cheat, hence the two boards, the old (cheaters list) and the new one with no cheat times. Basically does the same thing as a reset, well except for confusing other websites like Kudosprime that still see the old list too. :boggled:

The official GT website lists Kie at the top with a 2:17.0, so it's highly likely the same in game too, so the problem is fixed (unless some smart 🤬 manages to find another cheat of course). ;)

I figured it wasn't worth dedicating a lot of time to Spa qualifying. It was the same situation at Goodwood, all times were reset no matter if you exploited the track penalty glitch or not.

Now I can try hitting a time that isn't an embarrassment to all others in my lobbies and without fear of it being reset.

Got hit few times and Tried to make for lost ground.

By ruining an innocent person's race. Solid tactic.

EMEA's actually showing 3 boards, cheat times closed, cheat times live, and post patch live.
No doubt just a temporary glitch that will correct in due course.
Hasn't happened to the America or Asia boards with two lists each.

I've been checking regular, I think that PD had done a clean up on Americas and Asia before servers came back up but were still working on EMEA servers. EMEA didn't have three lists two hours ago, the third has only recently come up.

It's fixed but all the legit players have been ****ed over due to the people who cheated. They should ban the cheats. Even Fortnite bans people. The hours I put into setting times isn't "wasted" as it's learning, but I won't knock out the same lap without a significant amount of time invested again. Now the cheats have been filtered out my deleted lap would have been pretty decent - top 15 as it stands but that's on a very newly reset board and will be toppled by the end of the day.

I am as well thinking of going from the back or do a proper qualifying. Not sure what to do.

Btw the Peugeot VGT has this strange 'engine noise' when in first gear while going on the power. As if it drowns in fuel or has some TC enabled. Aids are off but still the noise and feel are present. Only noticable at very low speed. Not sure if it affects laptime.

A bit late, but I'm absolutely loving SPA...

After losing all motivation to set a Qualy time due to cheaters, I decided to do the it anyway...
I then got in a race with the Porsche and was in 2nd place (which was surprising because I thought I'd get crushed by cheaters).. I had previously decided that if I were at the front I'd build a gap and 1 stop, and if I were at the back, I'd short shift and no stop it.... The Porsche allows both options...

At the very last second I decided that I'd only 1 stop if the guy in 3rd also 1 stopped...
The guy in 3rd seemed very slow, so I immediately assumed he was no stopping.. So I started short shifting right away...

Turns out both 1st and 3rd were 1 stopping and my pace was just really good...

That awarded me a victory on my very first race at SPA.... Couldn't be any happier...
