I’ll be starting to host some races over the next few weeks that you may be interested in. They will be around 50 minutes each on Thursday night and Sunday around supper time, I’ll send you a pm with more info once I have it, but they sound like they’ll be right up your ally if you are free during those times. :)

Keep me posted. Always up for a good race, especially longer races

With next week's races...
This week's (aka just Spa) was something else. It was exciting, something that many of us looked forward to racing around in. It was as exciting as going to Disneyland, or seeing your best friend, who lives so far away from you.

And now it's back to reality. :( The only combination next week that seems somewhat interesting to me is the B race (GR. 3 at Maggiore GP II). Other than that, it's meh.

Those astroturf at Spa are something else....once you make that costly mistake of dropping 1 and God forbid 2 wheels in it....you're done :nervous:. Been racing the RCZ at Spa all week so far and everytime i made that mistake, it's "traumatizing" experience!! :p

Side note, I just had 2 of the best races at spa this week. Good lobby with a lot of fair and clear racers! @Sven Jurgens, you've been in both lobbies and in both cases, you started at the back and finished in the top 10...don't know how you keep doing it, but well done mate!!

This is how you pass through that corner.

I had to redo my 911 lap time attempt as I finished that race with 1.0 laps of fuel left :banghead: Counting is hard!
Next race went better despite getting rammed off lap 1. The 911 is now in second place in my list. Citroen GT still leads and both are safe to drive from the back. No tire issues after getting rammed off in lap 1 like with the Ferrari and Huracan.

Audi next, let's see if that one is still relevant.

Indeed last 2 weeks were amazing for me, N24 and Spa in the daily C. Next week, meh. I just got an email Shenmue 3 is on the way!

Yep, trying to apex that corner with anyone within 0.5 second range is simply not possible. Slow block in, slow out then.
Slow in, slow out defending 100%. I actually watched one of David Perel’s real life onboard videos where he scraps with an R8 for lap after lap without being able to pass because of the insane defense put on by the Audi driver. It taught me some things about defending that were applied at Spa this week with success. I’ll link it below.

I just decided I should upload this race C, because it is my best race pace this week. Using Huracan, with average lap of 19:100.XX. It is a hard combo, I admit - Spa is a hard track and the fastest cars this week are also the hardest to drive. But still, very enjoyable when you start to be consistent.

Thanks for sharing this, I'd been keeping an eye out for it Frustratingly I can't replicate the lap time without blitzing the fuel - seem to be limited to a high 2:20. More practice required.

Mixture of FM, lift & coasting, tyre saving and consistency. It is one of those races that looks like nothing is happening, while it is one of the most demanding no stoppers I have ever driven.

I watched only the first couple laps and the pace flat out frightened me.
I’m happy low 22 pace...Ecstatic actually...
It really is amazing how much time can be found when someone really talented is looking for it...
Great driving man.

Autopolis again? I thought about putting in a guess doe that but thought it was too recent. Guess I should never underestimate how.much PD loves recycling japanese tracks. Did well there with GR2 last time so.might go again but feeling like others, not too thrilled about any of the options really.

I've seen I have entered 49 races on Spa and have completed 362 laps. I mean what

I am sure there will be people who have done a lot more but come on, holy mother jesus and friends :dunce::drool: I am actually very surprised by this. Something I should keep secret and not tell the misses

Nice! That reminds me, I noticed yesterday that I’ve used something like 62,000L of fuel in GT Sport. Then I got to thinking, how much has @Sven Jurgens used? I’m really curious. :)

This might be the cure for the common race. I'll be looking at race B & hope to earn back some points. As much as I was terrible at this race C combo before, it might be worth a try on the new wheel. Of course, there are also other racing games. 💡

Starting to get to grips with SPA. Its so easy to do mistakes. In this race I'm starting from 13th and unfortunately I do an ugly punt at the end of first lap. Just did not have braking power for some reason.
However, I enjoyed the race despite the modest gains.

Love the videos man, keep them up! Hope to see you on-track some more as well. Good racing

I just crossed the 400k km driven (400,163) in 2476 hours time driven, using 196,678 liters of fuel.
Average speed of 162 kph, 49.1 liters per 100 km, 4.8 mpg.
Do the stats take the fuel multiplier into account?

I managed to stay all blue today, except for the last race. A micro second too late on the brakes behind 2 cars both trying to under brake each other, no way out. 2 sec penalty. Then I did the dumb thing to wait for him to get going again which after serving the penalty put me in the ramming zone. -21 SR for that race getting rammed by 3 cars taking turns lol.

Next one got punted off, penalty and several SR Downs, -7 SR. On the way down :/

Well, that’s it. I’m out.
Alt account rank must have gotten too high cuz I started next to last in the ‘follow my stream’ a plus a room.
Omg, Citroen bashes through in chicane. Then has the gall to flash me hazards? Eff you, gave him a love tap pass for that in the hairpin. Anyone can play that game, but no one has fun.
Now, brain is fried...Made up some places running my low 22 target time...
I had messed up lap one and the Citroen flew past, I caught back up though someone else probably didn’t take kindly to his behavior as well.
So I am looking at fuel, it’s gonna be close, and a merc came up with I’ll intentions...
blah blah blah.
Bottom line is relative to them I am a pylon. However, at least I can be an angry pylon.
Rage quit. Only second time ever but I was embarrassing myself doorbanging when the merc tried to off me coming out of the chicane. Mariokart is not for me no matter the pace.
Hopefully my rating will go down a ways to where I can be at my comfort zone and be able to pick it up when I want with a simple warm up and not have to deal with racing people whose lives seem to depend on last to first challenges and daily races.
I will miss Spa very much. And, I would like to say to those fast drivers there in lamborghinis and such,
when you make a mistake and I get by, that’s my general strategy, capitalize on your mistakes, then stay in front of you. There is no reason on gods green earth after slipping up trying for the win that gives you any right to bash by me because you are not smart enough to figure a way past.

I love Spa, great track to race against good people. It’s bs to run it against arcade pole position players.

It be nice if they just let us choose which N200 to use.

Race B looks like where I'll be next week.

@Pigems Long races sound fun. Those times though, during football season.. yeesh.

That’s what DVR’s are for. ;)

Edit: I’m in on the next Race C, I’ll be in the A/S range. :)

@Sven Jurgens Thats crazy man, good thing we don’t have to pay for fuel!

Yeah, they'll let you choose, but it'll be between the BRZ and the 86. :indiff:
I'll do some B races next week. Something about the curves at Maggiore just makes it feel like it was made for Gr.3 cars. I think it's a good car/track combo.

Hopefully my rating will go down a ways to where I can be at my comfort zone
I dropped mine about by 10k this week, by only racing from the back. Well, that plus performing poorly. 👍

If you're genuinely doing consistent 2:22s on a no stop then you shouldn't be too worried about being overtaken, even in A/S lobbies. Majority of one stoppers are doing 2:20 - 2:21s. Consistent 2:22s should put you into top 10 contention.

SR A and SR B lobbies that pace will take you further but you're more likely to get punted or pick up penalties getting caught out by random craziness.

Absolutely. My qual on my main would have started me ten.
I’ve been A 99 quite a while on the main.
One issue I have though is it requires a lot of time to be at proper pace for that account.
Pretty much I am only going to use it for FIA. I really like FIA.
I set my qual on alt so that I could avoid that matching and get in and have fun racing without needing 30 or more minutes warm up to find pace.
It’s tough in the Mustang I literally ran out at the line several times...
Re sr my whole career is S 99 pretty much.
I would have been fine lap one and been away from Citroen but I was offed for running next to a guy into that section approaching down the hill. I had fairly taken position and had inside into the downhill rights but he door banged me wide off track.
First lap was a mess. Later on I made the mistake of not allowing a merc to run me off in the last fast left before the slow chicane I braketapped to hold my tight line.
He was gonna dive all the way. Then I knew he was gonna try to punt me in the chicane so I defended that hard he wasn’t through (mind you like 3 contacts within 2 turns) so on exit we bang, I still get position into the hairpin and tried a dirty late block but didn’t succeed he got side by side and tried to bang me off.
I would have spun him but the rear of his car was bouncing off inside wall.
That’s when I tapped out and felt foolish.
I should have literally pulled over on the fast left but his challenge meant either me getting offed, braketap and hold tight, or pull over and let him through.’He could have easily taken me pre chicane but he was driving overaggressive.
It was my bad though I should have let him through before all that.
It was a combination of mistakes by myself and others that led to my rage quit.
It was embarrassing.

That would be nice, but I'm not optimistic.
Something older would be fun, like the 1971 Ferrari Dino, or the 1967 Toyota 2000GT.

I'd be happy with any of those or the Pontiac Firebird and Lancia Stratos. There's 28 N200 cars and PD have used 1/3 or less in daily races so you're wise to remain unoptimistic.

A new FIA season starts next week, maybe PD want more people racing in them hence the underwhelming daily races.

Interesting. Any idea why this mechanic exists?
I couldn't say with absolute authority, but it seems likely that it's designed to reduce how frequently your DR rating changes. Without it, if your skill level is close to the DR rating boundary you could be swapping up and down between B & C every race.
