Only did a couple of races but Turnopolis flows pretty neatly in the gr2's for me so far. Track messed with my desire to go full throttle at first but really like the constant turning and braking challenge it provides. Plenty of little bumps and pushes and no silly penalties adds to the realism without adding any frustrations.

100% win record at Autopsy last night... 1 race / 1 win
Started P2 on hards and kept within 1.5 secs of the leader with P3 hot on my tail for the first 3 laps until eventually P1 & P3 traction began to fall off. I took the lead on lap 5 and got a 1.5 sec lead. Stayed out and pitted at the end of lap 7. Rejoined in 2nd place about 0.5 seconds behind... it wasn't long before he started losing grip, plus added pressure from me, he binned it into the sand (I never laid a finger on him your honour). Another guy who had the same strategy as me was gaining but i was just concentrating on keeping on track and won by 3.5 seconds.

Think i'm gonna stick with the 7 lap hards / 5 lap mediums... i like it a lot

the sky looked overcast, but it was smoke and there was ash falling from the sky...

@Sven Jurgens , what sturk said. Check the sticker in the drivers door jam.

After fussing with my connections i got my internet back stable just in time for one more race. It was well worth it. Had an amazing race with @BenRod from start to finish. No one else with us. My brake pedal is starting to Ghost brake again a bit and stuck on early in the first lap which let him get in front, then i followed so we could gap the field before i was gonna try anything. I got by in t1 of lap 3 and he did the same on the last lap to regain the lead and the win. Great to race with you as always sir  would have loved to stay on for a couple more with you but i gotta go earn the money and stuff.
That was a dang good battle, dewd! I saved the replay and might post it in-game. At first, I thought you missed a shift or your connection was bugging... because I know that you know that I know you won't just pull over and let me by. ;)

Ben's a damn good ally to have in the races. 👍
I'm always glad when I see that race A is a combo that I like, because I know I'll be seeing a lot of him. :)
Aww, shucks. I tell people that I love to chase, but I also love being chased. And helping a friend get a win, or just have a better race, is equally as satisfying to me. What's funny about the race BreweryBoy is talking about above, is I had 2 other friends in that race and before we were even on track they had both messaged me groaning, something like "Great. I'll just watch from back here, as long as I can."

I know Daily A gets little consideration here, especially when it's this recycle, but when it's good... man, it's really good. And when you got, you got it. Starting P2 (or the right lane 4th/6th) seems safest, or if on Pole I try to move to the right lane if I can, then let 3rd gear hit the limiter, stab the brakes and grab second, and cut as close inside as possible. This makes it really difficult for any potential bombers to hit me, although maybe at the expense of the leader or anybody on the outside. So, YES! This race can definitely be won in the first turn, and also certainly lost, and Epstein didn't kill himself.

Hey y'all. I'm new to GT Sport. I played whichever the last GT was on PS3, and then the reviews of GT Sport scared me away for awhile. When GT Sport Spec came on, I decided I should give it a chance, and now I'm kicking myself for not picking up the game sooner.

This is my fourth week of daily races, and I'm finally starting some these cars out. Back on the PS3, I spent a lot of time in modded/tuned street cars when I played online. I'm actually kind of relieved not to have to tune to participate, but it also means that I didn't spend a lot of time in whatever the comparable Gr3/Gr4 cars were in that game.

I had a decent amount of confidence coming out of Big Willow two weeks ago where I was able to be very competitive for a noob, but last week was a pretty frustrating one for me. I was slow at RBR, and it killed both my DR/SR rating (down to 1 for DR!), and it just plain wasn't fun. I spent some time at Spa, and after some initial struggles, I really enjoyed racing there. I felt like it was a great track to learn how to drive the Gr 3 cars because there is so much variety. I to was pretty happy to running 2:22 laps with some consistency during the last few races, and never made the podium, but I was finishing in the top 10.

I'm not ready for Gr 2, so I'm sticking with mostly Race B this week. I picked up the Beetle Gr3 and kind of love it, and my practice at Spa helped me be able to approach Maggiore. It's a great track to learn how to trail brake on, and I've been getting a little quicker each day. I started at 2:05 on Monday, and I was running consistent 2:01-2:02 during races last night. I think I can qualify around 2:00 or maybe a little lower if I link all 3 sectors together.

One of the things I've been noticing as a DR C/D and SR S driver is that I almost never get a room of all DR D or even DR C/D. I guess those of us who are slow typically don't have manners! I was a P3/4 qualifier last night with people who had a qual lap a full three seconds faster on the pole.

Rooms fill up based on SR first, score range for SR is 1 - 99 and rooms are filled 90-99, then 80-89 etc.
In each room, highest DR rated drivers are assigned first. When it's busy, you'll get a room that's all SR-S and DR will be all A / A+. At times of day when there's not many drivers you'll get a room that's SR-S,A,B and DR ranges from A+ to D or even E.
Welcome to GT Sport, hope you enjoy your stay :D

Rev em up rev em up little boy and ride... So yeh, Race B with the 'vette. It was a DR/C/D combo, and my extra second got me P3/16, which came as a bit of a surprise.

After Spa, and my first two races this week, it's so nice *not* starting behind a bloody chicane for a change . Rushing headlong into T1 I felt pretty confident... 🤬 idiot! I went wide, drifted onto the grass and dropped some places, then botched another corner cause my tyres were 🤬. I dropped back to P8, then got my head down and tried to get my composure back... I always get kinda irate when I screw up and that just makes things worse :dunce:.

I managed to catch up and start to get into the flow, and managed something extremely rare... actual racing :scared:.

Here's me threading the needle to take P5:

I was having an awesome battle with these two guys. Later in the lap the Supra passed me, and the Merc was right on my tail. I passed the Supra the next lap in the same place :p. Things were pretty close, with moments of overlap throughout the next lap. The Supra fell back and the Merc found an opening and I had to yield. I was hanging onto him like 🤬 on a goldfish, and the Supra started to catch up.

Final lap, I was in P5, and on the outside of a corner, another car was up against me and instead of giving me room, pushed me off. I was :censored:ed. My tyres were once again shot and my composure had me going slow trying to get things back under control. I slipped back to P8 where I finished the race. Because of what happened I saved the replay to see who pushed me off. It turns out it was the Supra. Earlier in the corner we were three abreast, as I can round he held his line as I was turning in... track is wide so I didn't see him. He hits me and goes off inside, bounces back and pushes me off. If he didn't hit me he would have hit the wall instead of me... not his fault :scared:.

SR blue, DR up 60. Another day above DR 1:crazy:.

You, my good sir, have exact the same history as I have. Welcome back!

I feel your pain, I have not really a idea what was the problem with us slower boys, but RBR really killed me. Real pity because I like that circuit!

Yes, exactly. Please don´t be as stupid as me and keep your manner. It took me weeks to get back to a good SR S Rating after I got 🤬 by the penalty system of GTS. Real fun starts in the B lobbies IMO.

It's 3 high speed straights followed by 3 low speed corners. Only real pass opportunity for a beginner is outbrake. That leads to accidents. And since the penalty system is so ****** if, well you are paying for other people's mistakes.
If only they would get the slow in fast out thing and learn to undercut we would have great battles with little loss of SR

Thanks! I finally figured out last night how you guys were getting those charts. It's a cool thing to look at. My fall at the beginning of last week was spectacular, haha.

Yeah, I couldn't seem to make a lap around RBR without being pushed off the track and getting crazy track-limits penalties. Whatever. I ran one clean race after watching a few hot lap videos, but I had mostly moved on to Spa by that point and was having more fun there.

I try to be clean without getting walked all over. It's a fine line at times. As long as I'm not pushed off the track, I've found I'm usually fast enough to catch up and pass the dirty racers cleanly later.
