Spa is very fun with Gr.4, I expected it to be more pedestrian although 3 laps once again feels like a warm-up...

That can encourage people to drive overaggressive/ambitiously and if you're in the aftermath of it, the race could be considered over with a shorter time frame to recover.

Doubling the number would make races more interesting, fulfilling and people might end up patient for passing opportunities. I know it's been said before but I thought it was worth addressing again.

Do you actually get to use 6th gear?

You can just barely hit 6th right before the corner. I find it quicker to stay in 5th.

BTW, I strongly suggest deleting the cache before qualifying or racing. Something is not right and when I deleted the cache, things went back to normal.

I did some laps in TT last week. I did ONE lap in the 650 and did 2:29.8, I tried this morning, drove my butt off, and could not break out of the 2:31's. I loaded the 650 ghost from the top ten. I was ahead at T1, and then I watched him drive away up the hill like he had 100 more HP or something. I was losing over 1 second in sector 2 to my own previous best lap. The car slid all over. It was a mess!

I delete the cache in hopes that maybe that will help.

On that next lap, not only do I keep up with that ghost, but I was AHEAD of him at the top of the hill into the chicane. Now, I screwed up and lost time (hence the 2:30.4), but you can see that I was immediately 6/10ths faster even with a mistake, where as the previous session's 2:31.0 was essentially mistake free.

Then, I beat my previous best time on lap 2, again, pulling away from the top 10 ghost out of Eau rouge.

I did not change what I was doing between the sessions. The car simply hooked up. Time doesn't lie. 2:31, 2:31, 2:31, delete cache, 2:30, 2:29.

Just did my first Gr.4 Spa race, and it was pretty fun. Loving my WRX. It has so much more grip than the cars I was racing against.
I managed to make it up to the top 5, but the best part was getting to see my man @dlshearon take the victory in his Mustang. Great job, dude! 👍

Thanks man! Always good to see you in the dailies. Spa has been a lot of fun this morning.

Was nice to see you out there @O604. Been good races this morning. The car is actually kinda fun once i figuered out what it wants. Still sick to death of tbis track. I will move on to spa at some point this week certainly, but i can't resist the m3 tbh lol

@sturk0167 t1 is a pain for this car, feels really heavy. But if you let it hang just a bit loose for the whole lap essentially, it's a nice drive lol

Interlagos report:

- No wins, but couple of 2nds and 3rds
- DR remained roughly the same
- SR down to A and back to high S

There were a couple of tough battles but surprisingly I was never punted or pushed off the track! - Races were pretty competitive and I was amazed how the vast majority drove cleanly and avoided any contact!

Sometimes I had a car following so closed that I closed my eyes expecting to be punted, but it never happened. The opposite was also true: I followed people very closed but avoided contact even with some early brakes. I even, got 3 Clean Race Stars in a row... a first I think!

One race was a little crazy because had few DR S and the rest A+/A with qualy times very close together. Needless to say that there were blocks with six or more cars jammed together competing for same corners at the same time :D

Unlike most people’s experiences at Interlagos this week, mine was absent of crazy dives and bumps! Fingers crossed for this week!

Does somebody had this problem before? The ABS light signal is always on after breaking while accelerating.
The only way to deactivate is to brake and stand still for a short time, and then I can drive normally to the next breaking point.

Had two races this morning in my WRX. So stable, can eat all the curbs and it will follow cars on the straight thanks to drafting. Catch cars in the curves and draft them in the straight. Unfortunately I lost a podium finish due to a 0.5 sec penality in the last lap. Guess I have to hold back in the curb eating thing:D

How is the WRX on the straights? Do you actually get to use 6th gear?

Barely using the 6th gear on the straight.

The top EMEA time for Race C is TWO SECONDS faster than the second time. Anyone know what's happening here? Is the last chicane shortcut somehow back in play (as is the theme this week apparently).
Sounds like both race B and C are broken haha. If I see a replay of it on Twitter I'll post it here.

**Edit: Kie showed the replay on his stream. The driver is pretty much off track for the entire final sector. It's taking advantage of the penalty system not triggering until after they cross the line.

I was getting ABS blips when not using the brakes. So I took it apart and cleaned out my pedal thinking there was lint stuck in there or something. It helped a bit but it still flickers sometimes.

In extreme cases you may have to open it up and spray connections with a electrical contact cleaner. Don't recommend this unless it's absolutely necessary.

Side tip for G29 users - periodically clean the pedals. A thin piece of cardboard fits in the space in front of the pedals. Just guide it carefully in there without pushing lint down and try angle it and hook as much of the lint upwards.

i just watched that replay , indeed this guy blatantly cuts through the grass just before T11 all the way through the chicane , he even takes some of the pitlane to shorten the distance even further

Green cones at SPA.

Of course, the spin was avoidable, but is it necessary for these to be in the game? I am sure that I am not the only one who has had this issue.

The problem is the weight and force of the cones. I understand that they need collision so they get realistically punted around, but they seem to be as solid as the car itself.

I don't understand how they think it's acceptable for a 1 pound pylon to be able to hoist a 3000 pound car.

They could do a one way collision where the cone can collide with the car, but the car ignores the collision force on the cone. Did they assign this kind of stuff to an intern? Maybe it's the same dude who codes the penalty system.

PD need to sort this out! They need to assume that some people will cheat and design the tracks with this in mind.

I don’t want to set a qually time until they fix it.

BMW at Suzuka East for me! What a disappointment when it all looked so good for this week.

There is an update today, but not sure if PD can add the barriers in this one so soon. Unless, they extend the update. Maybe?

Oh, about the Grid Starts. Last Gr.4 Grid start I recall, was at Suzuka. Turned out to be a fun race.

They added the barriers at Goodwood without an update at all, so fingers crossed Spa and Catalunya can be fixed quickly. Again.
