Man, they really know how to make a fun car boring. Race a is a terrible track for a car like the m3. Will be going to spa eventually, although no barriers is stupid, and no sf for me, can't drive those things... lol
The barriers where only there in qualify, are they gone there now then I am sure they reset?

Edit: nope, they don't. Must be a mistake that removed them.

never uploaded or saved a video before (had to google it) but this is most fun race I’ve had for a long while, it turned into quite the battle between me in the Lamborghini and two guys in a Viper and GTR, after I’d made made a complete horlicks exiting the bus stop at the end of the first lap I had a choice of attacking or waiting to see if they’d take each other out! When GT Sport gets it right it REALLY gets it right

Wait, they removed the barriers put there specifically to stop that chicane cut??

When the times were reset last time around it was only for the SPA leaderboard right? The other dailys were left untouched right?

I just spent a significant amount of time setting a good lap at Catalunya and I wouldn't like to have to do the same again...

Also, what on earth were they thinking?
That people would "forget" to cheat?
But its probably a small error and it'll be fixed soon..

If you're trundling around at the back to be safe, you will lose DR. If the people you're behind are low DR, you will lose LOTS of DR. DR gains and losses are determined by where you finish, not by how many times you pass or are passed. How much you gain or lose will depend on the relative DR of the drivers in front of and behind you on the results board.

After being robbed of so much SR by morons last week I thought it was a quick way to boost SR, never mind, I qualified 4th and came 3rd in my first race so that's not too bad.

I've only got the SF Toyota, wondering if I'm fussed enough by Catalunya to buy the Honda one, really wish they'd just put them both in the race. Hopefully this means there'll be an SF Toyota daily soon, and hopefully on another Euro circuit!

Most likely all Spa for me this week, I seemed to be way off the pace in the Gr.3s last time out, but then golded the circuit experience first time out, will see how I fare in the Gr.4s. Tried a custom race last night, but the AI drive in such a different way to real people it's hard to judge.

Just did a quick race at Spa to judge realistic qualifying requirements and wasn't too bad. Got clean race bonus which was an added plus point. Seem to have found a circuit that my McLaren's are actually competitive on too! Will be doing more Spa this week although I suspect in the evenings it will become Wreckfest.

Hmm.. even qualifying with the 'vette was a nightmare. I tried the trophy, but the trophy was a slophy . Handled really nicely though, but my fastes lap was still slower than my slowest Corvette lap. My slowest Corvette lap was 3s slower than my qualifying time. Tried a few laps with the Viper, expecting handling to be similar to the 'vette. So different, much nicer braking. Beat my Corvette time. Optimum was 1s faster still, so I guess I'll be going with the Viper tomorrow 👍. I'm holding back on the Veyron, cause I still feel it will be fastest for me. My goal is always to qualify with a faster time with each car I use than the last one.

Got a race in this morning at Spa. Missed the quali time cutoff by around 10s so started from the back. Quite a lot of chaos on the track that I was able to take advantage of with the stability of the McLaren. Solid race overall. Finished within half a car length behind 5th side by side.

How on earth did car snap there?? That was the weirdest loss of control I've seen in quite a while..
Great race though... Really nerve testing

Feels like the last patch was done on an older version of the game. I’ve seen devs do this before.
That makes a lot of sense...

HA. Finally another victory. Went to Spa with the Jag, spent about half an hour in qualifying and about 2 seconds before I jumped into the lobby, got a 1:32:190 - which was good for 2nd on the grid in that lobby. 3rd place didn't get the chicane right at the start, so from the start it was just me and #1.

Got past him on the last lap on the Kehmel straight, only for him to pass me again in Les Combes. Stayed on him though and he got a bit too much on the curb in turn 14, then binned it into the wall - I cruised to an easy victory, 3rd overall! Got a CRB and fastest lap to boot.

I've never experienced the sheer amount of dirty racing I did at the Nurburgring last week. Holy smokes!!! If you're slow, it pays to block, ram, punt, sideswipe, etc. I don't think I'm doing one-make races ever again. Especially since I was down to a SR B at the start. Interlagos put me in a C, and then I was able to get back to A before the end of week. But my DR took a 10,000 point hit between the two. Sheesh! Hoping that Belgium will be kinder to me. :gtpflag:

The BMW at race A is challenging. I did some practice laps in time trial mode, and it may take a while for me to figure out the best way to drive it.
I'll put down some Q laps at some point this week, but not sure I'll enter any of the races.
It's a fun little track for hot lapping, but pretty lousy for racing.
@Dairyworker, @Mistah_MCA great job on your laps. 👍

Well race C was not kind to my alt account this morn even if I picked up 2 wins a 3rd, 4th and 7th. Went from 99 to 64 SR due to people just stopping on apexs even when I'm trying to go slow.

Ended up in naughty lobby where I encountered an incredibly dirty driver. After the 3rd blatant bump pass on me in 2 laps I sent them into the Mediterranean at the final chicane. Sure got a pen and got perilously close to a DR reset I reckon but worth it. Driving like that has cannot be tolerated in my book!!

Anyways finished with an easy victory and recovered most of the SR. One more should get me back to 99

The addition of the tyre requirement is very welcome.

@Groundfish i forgot to mention that the Interlagos bump cut works at Catalunya in the first turn as well. Got bumped (and bumped others) there as everyone had a wildly different braking point last night. After I got fed up with it I took the shortcut straight through when I had another big bump. Not a great speed boost but it beat saving the car while sliding sideways through the turn.

Also, tried to start with RM front and RH rear but it didn't work when I did it. Not sure if it was because race was starting right as I selected the tires or if it simply is not a possibility. Any others have any luck there?

Eager to get into the disaster fest again, but might be better taking the Jag for a day at Spa.
