BTW, I strongly suggest deleting the cache before qualifying or racing. Something is not right and when I deleted the cache, things went back to normal.

I did some laps in TT last week. I did ONE lap in the 650 and did 2:29.8, I tried this morning, drove my butt off, and could not break out of the 2:31's. I loaded the 650 ghost from the top ten. I was ahead at T1, and then I watched him drive away up the hill like he had 100 more HP or something. I was losing over 1 second in sector 2 to my own previous best lap. The car slid all over. It was a mess!

I delete the cache in hopes that maybe that will help.

On that next lap, not only do I keep up with that ghost, but I was AHEAD of him at the top of the hill into the chicane. Now, I screwed up and lost time (hence the 2:30.4), but you can see that I was immediately 6/10ths faster even with a mistake, where as the previous session's 2:31.0 was essentially mistake free.

Then, I beat my previous best time on lap 2, again, pulling away from the top 10 ghost out of Eau rouge.

I did not change what I was doing between the sessions. The car simply hooked up. Time doesn't lie. 2:31, 2:31, 2:31, delete cache, 2:30, 2:29.

I'm at work, so I haven't even looked yet to see if I can figure it out, but how/where do you delete the cache on a PS4?

The problem is the weight and force of the cones. I understand that they need collision so they get realistically punted around, but they seem to be as solid as the car itself.

I don't understand how they think it's acceptable for a 1 pound pylon to be able to hoist a 3000 pound car.

They could do a one way collision where the cone can collide with the car, but the car ignores the collision force on the cone. Did they assign this kind of stuff to an intern? Maybe it's the same dude who codes the penalty system.

When I was practice lapping at Spa, one of those green bollards practically stopped me when I hit it. Impressive.

Placed 6th place on Suzuka Short.
I think what my problem is with GTS and my Logitech G29.
I can't feel the road.
Both settings don't help either.
Force Feedback dictates the wheel resistance while force feedback max torque doesnt do anything.
I need to feel the road and using this wheel is like using my dualshock4 without rumble.

Happy to see some variety in the weeklies, also I was afraid they'd only use the SF cars on Japanese circuits. Thanks PD.
However there's a bug where almost everyone will get a 20 sec penalty at the end of the race in race C.
Thats what happens when you don't read the small print. Thank you.
That means even more variety, I love it. Now if only race B were a bit longer.

They just need to bring back instant lap invalidation for all four wheels outside track limits. I just want the GT6 TT system back. PLEASE KAAAZZ.
I think this is really the only way that the penalty exploit could get fixed. I don't think the old system would work in an actual race, but it would be a perfect solution for qualifying and time trials. 👍

Are people using that exploit again?
Some guy has a high 2.27 lap qualifier.
Max I got was 2.37 with the Megane Trophy 11.

Re "How do people discover these bugs?", it's mostly the same bug every time. Goodwood, Spa, Catalunya, they all have a chicane near the finish, and the bug is you can cut it, and if you stay mainly off the track between the cut and the finish, the penalty isn't applied till the following lap. They should just fix the faulty penalty logic, and it will fix it for good, rather than adding barriers.

exactly, it isnt a track issue but a glaring hole in the penalty system that can be exploited on a lot of tracks. these band aid solutions aint it chief.

The Trophy is a great car on Autopolis. Not so much on Spa. The top end is serious lacking, so even if you make good in the Twisties you will loose more on the high speed sections. The Jag, the Lex, the Merc, the Viper, Vette and Mustang are better bets.

Tried with the AMG
Ugh disgusting fat pig!
Lost two positions at the end because the fat pos refused to stop and would lock the wheels.

If I can finish a respectable TPC livery for the SF19 I might have to go hunting for corner cutters at catalunya. I know I am not good at the track and had an average at best QT but did have some suspect drivers ahead of me there in my 2 races. Guys who crashed several times quickly and then bailed 3 laps in.

Hope to do better myself. Anyone gotten the hybrid tire setup to pass the mandatory tire requirement?
