The Time Trial for Race A is pretty sweet, I don’t know this track well though. 23.1 so far. :)

What a week!

Laguna Seca drove me insane and frustrated me to extreme until I learned and got a handled of it after the first few days of the week, then I started to enjoy it and have fun!

Then, no matter how much I would lower my qualy lap, (finished the week at 1:23.23 in the M6), my best position on the grid was 14th, mostly 15-17 and once dead last in P19.

Most races I would gain positions. Last race started in 15 and finished 8th. Another started in 18 and finished 10th.

Matched mostly with DR S/A+/A... so no chance to get on the podium this week but had great battles along the way.

Ended up the week with 2K less in DR than started... so time to make it up at Interlagos...see you there!

here’s that race where you got punted at the corkscrew right in front of me, lap 5 or 6 I think. That same guy got pissed at me for overtaking him through T1 after he failed to protect the inside and got soundly outbraked, then it went even more downhill from there. Still gained 9 positions but what a disaster all around.

Thanks for posting that... wow the Corvette and Beetle drivers... :dunce:

Race A is cool. Love the track. The handling actually matches the power. Plus, the cockpit view of the gauges is cool.

Only problem was my pet peeve to people that pass, move to my line and slam on the brakes way before braking markers. It was just the start of the race and fair enough, I got beat off the line by the field. Started 5/8, no qualy in a B&D room.

Get to the loading docks and this player just slams on the brakes. Should have stayed in its inside line. Anyway, me and three other cars smash into the barriers. I get 5 seconds for hitting no one. Then, coming out of the loading docks, I get another 5 seconds for wall contact.

I caught up to the early braker before the end of the first lap. Seem like he/she knew what they done and got off the gas and faded back once I passed. Finished 4th, 23 seconds ahead of that player.

After that, I did a 15 lap Custom GR.4 race, fuel 5x/tyres 7x. Really Cool battles with AI. Love that time of day condition.

It's probably a good thing we don't have an audio chat during daily races, where players can talk and listen to the other players.
I would get banned/suspended constantly for the words that compulsively fly out of my mouth during Sport Mode races. :O
I knew a guy whose wife made him play in the garage, because she didn't want the kids to hear what he was saying when he played.:lol::lol:

Perks of being a bachelor. :D

So this G29 is kicking my ass. The ironing board trick isn’t working. I need a wheel stand.

When I got my wheel, I chose this stand: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071LKPY4B/?tag=gtplanet-20

Edit: And I just noticed that it's listed as currently unavailable. :boggled: Of course. Looking at GT Omega's US website, they aren't listed to be back in stock until Jan. 15. https://www.gtomega.com/collections/wheel-stands/products/classic-steering-wheel-stand You could search Amazon for one that looks very close to it. I saw some for between $100-$110.

Let me guess, FF Gr.4 cars at Autopolis right? ......right? :banghead::banghead::banghead:

That's what I read. That's an automatic "no" from me. Looks like it'll be race B for me next week. Might want to not bother with qualifying either. Turn 1, lap 1. :irked:

I'll likely be running Race B as well. As much as I'm tired of Maggiore GP, it's still a great track and the best thing going on that week. I'll probably qualify for it though, since it's Race B and I sacrificed nearly 8000DR last week on Laguna Seca races from the back, hehe.

For all of my love of LS last week, I stayed far away. I was too worried about the crap penalty system & every other driver thinking they were Mario Andretti when they were more like Mario's pizza delivery.

Could be the 993 for Race C.

I don't think any combo could get me onto the 'Ring. The track is a DR/SR killer to me.

I had a lot of fun yesterday, despite the fact that I didn't get any podiums:lol: I started my first Group 2 race from 18th on the grid, as I didn't have enough time to qualify. I was curious to see how far up the field I could get. Not very far as it turned out. I made my way up to 13th place before I made a stupid error at the first corner. I missed my braking point completely and went onto the tarmac runoff, but when I tried to get back on, I spun and dropped back to last. I didn't even bother pitting I was soo far behind. Second attempt was better. I started 12th after setting a rather slow qualifying time, but found my way up to 6th place pretty quickly. However I spun again shortly after leaving the pits. Oops. I got back up to 6th place, and had a great battle in the last sector with another Nissan. I don't even know how we avoided major contact, we were side by side for a while there.

I then started from the back at Interlagos in the Aston Martin Vantage. It's unusual for me to start with no one else behind. Things took a while to get going, but when it did, all sorts of chaos kicked off. This turned out to be the case for all the races I did. There were plenty of collisions, spins and penalties that helped me get up to 9th place. Next I chose the Toyota and the most hilarious case of aggression played out right in front of me. There was a Peugeot getting hounded by a few cars, and he was driving like an arse trying to stay ahead. He ended up getting a penalty for one of his moves, which must've upset him quite a bit. On the straight between turns 3 and 4, he body slammed a Mazda and caused an unnecessary accident which sent both of them spinning. I just started laughing, because I cheaply gained two places as a result of someone's wreckless stupidity. I need to show you guys what happened, as I saved the replay.

Well, thanks to PD making the daily races so boring for so many people this week I am trying something entirely new: I am on top of my friends list on the track, with a 1:33:4 in the Mustang.
So far, the only Mustang I have seen there.
Time was good enough for a p3 in one race, ended P2. But else it was mostly midfield. Mostly good races but then. Ones a real cluster ****. Makes it to t1 as p4 after a start as p6, but then p5,4 and 3 has a three way collision right in front of me and I got tangled and hit from behind so rejoined as p14, only to have a small doorbumping withp15, resulting in 6 seconds penalty.
Wasted race.

I don't know why are people trying to overtake from the inside of the first turn of Interlagos.
I had some mexican behind me who overshot the turn, braked late and caused me precious seconds because the moron was blocking the path.
People like that should be banned.
I am just going to ignore daily races now.
The penalty system is still terrible and too many rear-ending fools running around without getting any harsh penalties.
Seriously, most of every other race is a clean race but idiots like these prevent racing from being fun.

We all know it’s gonna be the GT86 for the 3rd time in 4 Weeks.

Or the Lancer again. I don't get it. Why add all these new cars in updates when we never get to use them outside AI races or lobbies.

Also Race A wall penalties seem to be random. I gently hit the wall outside the tunnel and got 5 seconds while thudding it on the final corner gives me nothing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ya just don't get it do ya? Whoever gets to T1 first on the first lap wins the race! (The other 4 or 20 laps don't matter :p).

Tokyo wall penalties have always been a bit dodgy. The perceived issue is wall riding in corners, so walls on the outside of turns will burn you, but if you're just outside the turn "zone" you can really smash that wall with little or no penalty. The confusion arises because some of the turn zone limits are in the wrong places to be effective.
@Sven Jurgens has a lot to say on this topic if you ask him.
