ever heard about some dutch guy in F1 that does that pretty much all the time?

haha he’s gotten better about it, it doesn’t result in a DNF anymore. Light contact mid corner can be surviveable. It’s when they just barrel through and hit with force that it breaks both cars usually.

This is why I’m still a firm believer in full realistic damage. Yes it can suck for the victim, but that’s life. And ultimately I feel drivers will learn what proper racing etiquette is and why we use it. If some guy keeps crashing out with a DNF each race, eventually he will either quit the game or improve/learn. Either is a win for the rest of us.

I did wonder what happened to you on lap 1. You were right behind me, I overtook the Ferrari then you were gone. That guy crashing on the first stage of the chicane was pretty distracting so that didn't help anyone in getting through there cleanly.

Was struggling with that chicane all night, must've forgotten how to get through there cleanly overnight or something. Had picked it up by the end of the night but by that time I'd had enough of being pushed off the track every time someone had a dive down the inside.

Well, after laps upon laps and pushing my B race qually time down to a 1:45.7, typically good enough for a top 3 spot in my current matching, I just got a race win.

Not through anything other than getting to grid up with someone who didn't try to take me out.

Started 3rd, lap 2 made a nice gentle pass up the inside into the first sweeping left on the back "straight" loosing time to the leader but knowing had more pace than the hurracan holding P2 at the time.

The power of the F type really opens up passing chances on this track.

Lap three, down through turn 2 and flicking across turn 3, said hurracan appeared on the radar, off circuit to my right apparently trying to pit maneuver me or something.

Japanese in front, Japanese behind. Don't know if this was some kind of patriotic teaming up, because I didn't so much as scrape his paint work passing earlier.

Fortunately the race leader (also F type) didn't take umbrage to being passed, and while looming and looking, kept things clean.

After the hit my DR has taken on the race earlier in the week, I hope it's doing some recovery in the last few races.

For race C, I might try the 458. I did alright in the FIA race using the RC F versus GT-Rs, but a McLaren, in that race, was too fast. 458 might be okay.

I still haven't used the RC F '17 for race C. Just not feeling Suzuka.

Taking into account the current penalty system and @pantherjag 's opinion on likely track conditioins for the coming week, I've made a car choice for Race C:

I'm just going with the RC F '17 for Race C. It's my rock.

Anyway, got an awesome podium 3rd from 6th. On pace.

Two Huracans got tripped up going into Seaside hairpin. I got a run one while exiting. It slots behind me into CoD. On exit, a bit of mayhem. I pass a bright green Huracan for 3rd.

Going into the final turn, from the replay, 5th place Huracan choose the inside behind me, the 4th place car enters the same line too late while the other car is threshold braking. An RC F behind hits one and the two Huracans take each other out.

From there, the RC F couldn't catch me. Again, the Supra's strength are the uphill esses full throttle. Replay shows the RC F has to feather a bit for more turn. Good week of learning.

Qualifying now for Brands Hatch and Spa.

Edit: Optimum is a 29.7. I'm okay with this time, for now.

Edit: I didn't get left behind. Actually, kept good pace ahead of a Slophy. Took a bit of track edge into T1 on lap 3. That let two go by. Then, it happens on the last lap. A Slophy takes out two players. For no reason. Video at 11(I finished one spot up. I can nearly match then in cornering speed, but the downforce of the Slophy is much greater into T1 and the final turn.

I set a qualy time of 2:40.622 right at the Please Wait race entry. Started at the back with no time. That time would have placed me 5th in that race.
Please, y'all.... Make sure you qualify. I got spun at the final chicane by a GT-R that was struggling. Fell to last 19/19 and came back.
Don't know what tyres players were on. I used Wets. Finished three places up, with good tyre wear and just under 1 lap of fuel.

Dang, man. Can't test my connection before race. Join and I have 1 bar then three then two and 1 for most the race. Make my way up to 6th. Catching 5th place towards the end of lap 6(my fastest time was .2 from the leader). and boom! "Welcome to the DiscothequeDisconnect!".

Oh, but I can check my connection after the fact.

I'm looking forward to a possible vehicle update next week. I don't know about this week's dailies.
Glad it's Gr.4, but the Slophy train has boarded at the station. Spa is alright due ti car variety, but it's so quiet and lonely. Eevn racing side by side with other players.

Erm, ok .. yeh, Spa won't be the horror show everyone is predicting.. with a 2:44.88 I won't be breaking any records! I think I can shave off a second if I can get the exit to the chicane better, but not much else . Yup, it's going to be a DR drop fest, but probably not many points 'cause the grid will be probably DR/Bs and As.

What tires are you using?
Are intermediates available?

I tried hards while practicing yesterday, they didn't seem bad..

Decided to have a goof off around Brands and run some Qualifying. Managed to drop in a 30.2 after a little while remembering the track. Now if I can just figure out how to string some sectors together properly I can drop it to my optimum of 29.4. Would be fun to post a time like that and never race, but I will have to stick with what I got now. :cheers:Good luck out there racers, don't let the 🤬 get you down!:gtpflag:
