Scared to see how this will end at T1.

Edit: Wow! The Slophy held them off. Hey, I got second fastest lap.

That variety is always nice to see 👍 I was actually quite excited for Race B. However right now for EMEA in the few B/S races I've had it seems like it's just the Megane Trophy cup again  Here's hoping it gets better during the week.

I'm off work this week, so I was going to do a Sven and go on holiday to Sardegna driving every car from the back to see what happened.

First up was the Scirocco. I went from 15th to 6th. Part of me wanted to call it a day there. I should have listened. The next four races have involved calamity of some sort, with my last race in the Alfa featuring two spins where I got hooked on the kerb on the inside of a corner because I was trying to avoid a slow - perfectly clean, just slow - guy on my outside. Same Slophy both times. Sorry Sven, but **** this. I want my rating back, and I've only done four races.

GT86/ BRZ AGAIN!!!! Has PD forgotten about every other car in the game? I hate these cars so much now that i have decided not to purchase a real one - which we was close to - and get an older 370Z instead!
The Toyobarus were actually my favorite cars to use in GT5/6 in 500pp and under races. Now I'm almost sick of them. Seriously, can we get more Gr. 1, and especially more open wheel, kart, and oval races? GT and road cars for ALL the races EVERY single week has gotten old and stale. (And yes, I'll admit I'm biased as I seem to be way more competitive in high-grip cars).

So race C is a no-stop?? I tried testing with the Audi yesterday, it definitely wasn't doing a no-stop without some substantial fuel saving . Either way I'm itching to get out there after watching Bathurst.

Separate note: Wanted to see if there was any interest in doing some Daily Race style Super Formula races. Details here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/daily-race-super-formula.392063/

I just did a race which had a wide selection of cars in it (Ford GT, Nissan, Citroen, Corvette, 911, RCZ, McLaren, Beetle) - Ford GT won, and the R8 was the only car that pitted.

It is a no stop but it's the tyres that are an issue rather than fuel. Are you sure you had the multipliers set correctly?

Tyres are actually such an issue that there's a reasonable argument to pit, so long as it doesn't put you in the middle of traffic (which it likely will).

Seems the best strategy is to look after the tyres and not pit, but fuel shouldn't be of any concern.

Kids, don't try this at home.

Sven is stupid fast. Some say he doesn't eat or sleep... all we know is he's called Sven.

tbf I have ~mid-pack pace, it just seemed to be one disaster after another. And after I spent time getting nice liveries for every car too.

I thought I had the settings right, but might have read something wrong on KP haha.

Sounds about right for the R8

I think it also depends on your race pace. My race pace was consistently 3-4 seconds slower than my qually. My last couple of laps were actually about the same as most of the other laps, but I had to change down a gear lower than usual for some corners to get the turn in.

I came out less than four seconds after the guy I was .3 behind when I went in. Had a gap to the next guy, it was smaller but was still there.
Replay is at my profile if you want to see.

I 100% believe it! The guide that @pantherjag did shows that the pit loss time is really quite small, and it helps if you can nail the pit entry. You do lose a little time so it becomes a judgement call as to whether or not you think you can pit without losing positions. If you can it's probably a good strategy as you can push the last few laps on fresh rubber when others will be managing worn out rubber.

When we did the gr 4 I did 30 laps with a pit entry on each, because I heard it was so hard. Nailed it when I pitted but struggled with Hell's when I didn't :)

I love when they throw karts in the mix, it makes the short Brands Hatch circuit fun, there is room to get a couple wide in most corners and it is just fun. I miss the oval races on A too, makes hopped up weak cars fun if you can get out of the first lap. I've long stood by race A should rotate daily with a different track for the car choice and let the longer races stand for a week so that there is plenty of time to decide and experiment on strategy, car choices and really get good at finding the good lines.

One of my Bathurst races, I was following an R8. It was doing the "MR sliiiiide" through the whole lap. I had to keep slowing and allowed cars to catch us up.

Getting pushed and /or punted, takes the bit out of the tyres. Still, Big Lex is frugal and the tyres wear evenly. Needs to be right under the rear wing of the GT-R down the straights, but looked more stable everywhere else, than the GT-R.
