I just told a guy in a race B that flashing his lights means nothing to me. If you are faster, go around. His reply was I should watch IMSA racing. The difference is our racing isn't like IMSA where there are multiple classes, it's more like USAC midgets and an all out sprint. I don't think he liked that too much. :) :)

Am with you on this. If anything I defend harder when people flash their headlights at me.
Overtaking is part of the race craft, if you are only faster on an empty track then you are not really faster, are you?

Okay, Race A has a lot of problems and questionable things.
Why don't you slow down when you're on the grass? It's like the grass is just like the asphalt itself, only with less traction?

You answered your own question, grass has a very low friction coefficient, so unless there's mud underneath you're just going to slide until you hit something/ rejoin the track :)

Off Course Traction is usually set to “Low” for Race A instead of “Real”, that’s parts of the problem anyways.
I see, wish they didn't do that.

Interesting, didn't know that, thanks!

I'll stay far from Race A, unless I can somehow lap a better qualy time. :)

Sooo, this week I've only done race B so after the disappointing nations race I went straight to race C with no practice whatsoever (even had to buy the car with only 2 minutes left to enter). Hoped for a room with very high DR so I wouldn't lose so much - ended up in a room as car #1 with no time so starting in last. Yup. Stupid decision...

Anyway, first lap was pretty clean for me as some others crashed out so before the last corner in lap 1 I was in 13th or so, only to be punted out at said corner so back to P19.

Starting again... Quickly gained some places, but after some laps I got punted before the Corkscrew causing me to crash out another driver. Luckily didn't get a penalty. Unluckily the guy who caused the mess was in front with no penalty as it seemed. At least he stayed in front of me.

Over the whole 11 laps race I only had 2 laps without traffic. Was P9 for a long time but no practice showed as my pace wasn't so good. I got overtaken by car #4 who was quick and I was able to follow him closely. My fastest lap after that was 1.5 seconds quicker than before.

Finished P10, losing another 700 DR in the process. Will do practice and a quali lap before the next...

Race A has literally people pushing you off the track. Like, really pushing as hard as they, not just little nudges. I didn't play after they removed penalties, so I understand there's a lot of people with SR 99 who shouldn't be there, but what's fun about playing like this?

Races 3 times just now. First 2 pushed out the track in lap 1 in the same corner (the fast one after 1st hairpin). In the second one I catched up with the group again and there was this German guy literally pushing everyone out of his way. At least he pushed 4 cars out of the track (including me when I overtook him)... He didn't get a single penalty. I got one when he pushed me out and hit the barriers.......

Anyway, I knew race A was going to be dirty and, have to say, the third race was very clean for what it could have been.

M6 brakes are good. Very stable car like Big Lex. I'm naming it "The Love Boat".
Tried the M6 today and it felt much better than the Merc. Managed better times and better racing!

The leaderboards for Race A are a bit close.

I ran 2 more Race Cs tonight. It’s been a fun combo and I’m going to miss it when it’s gone. I started P2 in both, and finished P3 in both. I’m still a little inconsistent, and when I lose a little bit of focus it’s bad news. I had the lead in both and had no one other than myself to blame for not taking the wins. Ran the fastest laps in both, but after I biffed that turn before the Corkscrew in each. I let one tire get off the track and I’m not patient enough to fix it without losing lots of time.

DR is up almost 4000 for the day though, so no complaints here. Ran a few laps at Sardegna...it’s gonna be a fun gr 4 track with so many of the sections being flat out.

Nice pass, shame the blue Miata had to be a sore loser and try to ram you.

Thanks! Yeah I was pretty confused about that, still am. After the race he said he was sorry, so I let it go. Not sure if he didn’t know I was there, or if he got heated in the moment. No harm no foul I suppose.

Honestly, I tried the track yesterday and it was a lot of fun! Excited to race there! :D

Good to see pd paying tribute to the Bathurst 12hr in race C next week. Should be absolute chaos
I bet it will be! I honestly suck at Bathurst but might give it a go, see if I can handle Gr. 3 around the hill.
Is it going to be another no stopper?

Some seem to think so. I suspect it depends on what DR group you are in. Lower DR drivers tend not to have the experience for it to occur to them to try. You might still have to conserve fuel and look after your tyres. A no stopper at Bathurst is better... the pit lane entry is a doozy!

Haven't set a qualifying time in race b so I thought I'd start from the back and try to move up from my A SR status. Oh boy, was a wrong. A C DR, B SR Brazilian sure knew how to game the system. He forced a 7 second penalty on me then got another 2 from something and am now down to a B SR. 🤬

Ouch. I used race B to move up from SR B to S again, I lost all that SR in just two races. But having set a Qt I started mid-pack so it took me four races to regain S, two more to get to 99. I don't think I have ever been so nervous and alert in races before....

I'm now at SR 47 and I swear I haven't been driving dirty. Trying to pass clean and leave room for other cars. It seems no matter how hard I try no one wants to let me pass without blocking or pushing me off the track.

I need to get this SR up or Bathurst with a bunch SR B drivers is going to be suicide.

I fully expected to trade Dr for SR so went in not expecting to pass anyone and being ready to let people pass me when they wanted to. It ended up with a mix, I passed others as they spun out and let one or two by.
