I just told a guy in a race B that flashing his lights means nothing to me. If you are faster, go around. His reply was I should watch IMSA racing. The difference is our racing isn't like IMSA where there are multiple classes, it's more like USAC midgets and an all out sprint. I don't think he liked that too much. :) :)

I recently noticed that my flashing is a lot more serious than I thought.. I play on a controller and I'm always pressing L3 due to how tense I get during races... I should probably change that configuration right now...
Sorry to anyone who has ever been in front of me..

Aside from the nonsense penalty I was gifted, this was a pretty good first lap in a no-qualy race at Laguna Seca. Sticking to the inside of T1 is pretty important as you can see. Gained several positions there. Finished P3 in this one.

Wow! Bathurst is a lot of fun! Just put in 10 entire laps without realising.
Ended up with a 2:06.9xx in the M6 with BoP on.
What times can be expected around there?
Thesesare the world leaderboards for the last times Gr.3 Mount Panorama was on and restricted to Hard tyres:
June 2018: https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/rankings.php?sec=daily&eid=12376,12378,12377,

October 2018: https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/rankings.php?sec=daily&eid=15237,15243,15242,

No clue how people are so close to breaking that 2min barrier..

Anyone else feel like the Daily races are harder than the FIA races as far as competition goes? What I mean by that is, in the FIA aces, as a low-mid A rank player, I can still usually qualify and race inside the top half of the field, and often even get a podium; but in the Daily races for the past several weeks I've been placed at the rear of the field, and for some reason there's always at least 1 A+ driver who's miles faster than the rest of us. Not only are the track and car choices repetitive and boring, but I find it hard to even enjoy the racing itself when I'm stuck in the back all the time. If I don't qualify, I'm stuck in the back. If I do qualify, I'm stuck in the back. If I significantly improve on my qualifying time, I'm still stuck in the back.

I don't know.
But second link shows that 2:03.6xx gets you to 500th place, so my time of 2:05.4xx isn't that bad, I could get it down to 2:04.xxx so, I'm quite happy with it. :D

I think it's because SR is ridiculously easy to obtain and keep now. At least that's my experience, as someone who tries to always stay in the SR-90 and above lobbies. There are a lot of pretty fast qualifiers in the game, but not everybody can keep it together well in the race and avoid contact. So there are many people in these top SR lobbies now who normally wouldn't be there a couple updates ago, but that doesn't mean they don't have the qualifying pace. I've seen a lot of A and A+ drivers, even B drivers with crazy fast qualifying times but very little racecraft lately. So even though matchmaking is still by SR first and DR second, the SR system is basically muted at the moment so we're seeing more accurate matching by DR, some clean drivers some dirty, all mixed together.

A big part of it is just who is online / what time of day it is. I raced this morning and the guy in second was in the 56's for Race B, the last race i did, the guy in 14th place was in the 56's, and the field had gone from me being the only A+ to over half the field being A+ and the rest A's, just because so many more people are online of an evening. If you want to escape the midfield carnage could be worth getting online on a saturday morning for example

People were a little pushy in Race A today, but I didn't see very much truly "dirty" driving. Also I was usually placed 8th-12th on the grid but was always less than 1s off pole. I know this is a small track, so the margins will naturally be smaller, but around Tsukuba in low-powered cars (like PD would try any other combination...), it makes it impossible to move up from where you start unless you drive dirty or wait for mistakes.

I hope that's what it is. I'll have to see about trying to race earlier in the week as well instead of waiting until the weekend. I've been avoiding the Daily races during the week partially to keep my SR intact for the FIA races, and partially because of how boring the tracks are.

Really enjoyed Race B this week. The reintroduction of penalties has somewhat cleaned things up a bit from the races I did. Maybe I was more alert or just qualified in the right position, but seemed to be able to avoid any major punts at turn 1, the hairpin or the final chicane.

In my final race, I had an awesome battle with a Mazda, where we went side by side through the first 5 corners. Unfortunately the game decided that this was to end at turn 5 where a bit of door to door contact resulted in the Mazda being sent flying off the track into the sand and me being rewarded with a 1 second penalty. I had two wheels on the grass and was hugging the apex so not sure what more I could have done to avoid contact. I think the punt came from the game registering our cars at two different angles through the corner while the minor contact was amplified by lag. Unfortunately I forgot to save the replay for this so was unable to review the incident.

This week has been pretty good for the DR, rising from about 38k to 44,686. Not sure how much higher I'll be able to get my DR, feels like im reaching my limit on controller in terms of raw pace for qualifying and race pace. I found quite often that the people in front of me were easily able to drive away over the course of the race especially once I had lost the slipstream.

I'll qualify Race B after my first race. Need to check the degree of risk first. Nice to see a Supra being used. I still don't think many players knew about it the survey.

Edit: Racing was clean until the last lap right after the penalty zone. Started 14/16. The RC F in last place punts me while I'm slowing for three cars ahead of me. I made it up to 7th place at that point!

Then, as I'm recovering after the next left-hander, another RC F tries to pass on my outside of the final S turn. We contact and straight away I get taps and taps into the left barrier. I spin back around in front of the pit entry and I see it tapping another car off at the finish line! I need to qualify.

Edit: Supra is built for this track.

Smashed 'em! I'm happy with this one. All pace. My FL was a 1:26.062. I was . 0.4 up on my last lap(would have been quicker than my qualy lap with no tow!), but lifted a bit at the final left-hander, before the final Ess.

The Lambo in 2nd, had punted me into the leader from the race before. I knew the Supra had the goods. Just needs 380hp and that'll give it more top end. It's got plenty torque... MAN! Feels good to know the Supra is competitive.

Don't mind the Attached pic my qualy time is a 1:25.747.

Yes. And a car which is not available for everybody/only owned by some members is blurring the competition. It should be banned from Sports Mode or be available for everybody.

Nah, I'm out of the top 10 now. Don't think I've ever seen a Mustang in the number one spot.

It was available for everybody, there were explicit notifications explaining the conditions. I was going to get one but never got around to running the required race events. My fault, not PD's. There is a popular theory (yet to be confirmed) that it will eventually turn up in a generic livery either in Mileage Exchange, the wheel of misfortune or Brand Central. I'm not holding my breath but look forward to the possibility.

Had around 8 laps in the trusty GT-R at barthurst this morning, and i'm 0.074 of entering the 2.02's.

But better than that, finally a good week on combos, imo. time to get back my dr from these last weeks were i raced 2 races, and lost 1k each race after being punted into oblivion

Went for a morning run around Bathurst, B S group, 7th on grid in the M6, made it up to 5th at one point but I get numb fingers on a morning racing, so couldn't hang onto P5, thankfully due to others mistakes I finish P6.
It seemed a messy race, lots of pushing and shoving around with some seemingly declaring war on others, a WRX got a 5 sec penalty that, from my point of view, should have been awarded to the other driver involved.
Time for housework and DIY then go again this afternoon.

GT86/ BRZ AGAIN!!!! Has PD forgotten about every other car in the game? I hate these cars so much now that i have decided not to purchase a real one - which we was close to - and get an older 370Z instead!
If you had gone ahead and bought one you might be cheering their inclusion (like i am right now). Whilst i fully agree on the lack of variation in N class races, i can't help but smile like a lune whenever the Toyobaru's return in the dailies.
