Why would you attempt to dispute the actual words, which are archived?

I don't know, why would you?

3 victories tonight: 2 at BMB (3 pole) and 1 at Autopolis. Should've had at least 2 more at BMB but clowns will be clowns. Got sweet revenge at Autopolis when P1 went wide at T1 on final lap and as I'm carrying more speed and try to pass him halfway down to T2, joker blocks me on the right AND on the left. So naturally, I bumped him around final turn for the win (no penalty no less).

Not exactly the car I figured would get me my first win on the Oval...

He never said it was deliberate. Thanks
I don't think you understand me. I'm not trying to get my own meaning out of his words. I'm taking them literally.
Plus, I watched the video. I trust my eyes, rather than intuition. Not a deliberate punt, whatsoever. He got lucky that the other guy screwed himself.

****ing hell.

The guy who did it, writes about it and celebrates it but that's not enough.

This must be a cultural thing. I'm out.

Sorry

True story: I once got booted from jury selection in an alleged shooting case because during the voir dire, when the prosecutor asked me if reasonable doubt would be good enough for me to convict, I said absolutely 🤬 not!

I'm very much black and white, with little to no consideration given to the gray areas.
Opinions will vary

Wait, isn't that backwards? Whut? Maybe that prosecutor made the penalty system?

Race B is a SR (and DR) killer. Almost every race I get a penalty in the last corner, there is always someone that brakes way too late, uses my car to still make the corner, and I get the penalty, while giving him 2 lanes of space. Also got a penalty for bump drafting, that one was just cruel. And if someone wipes you out and you spin into the wall, 5 sec penalty, even though you are already dead last.

What I don’t get, one silly penalty and SR goes down 5 points. It was mayhem in SR A, glad to be back in S.

A clean race C is worth 12-15 SR to restore your rating. Entering Race B with an SR at low A is high risk!

Dude, read his post, as repeated elsewhere above. 100% deliberate.

Dude, don't you know it's always Sturk's fault. :D

Had some good races at BMB last night. @Qyn and I worked together in a few races, fun racing with you again man. Then 3 of my last 4 races were as you described above, Really sucks the enjoyment from the game when not only do you get divebombed, but you're also rewarded with a 5 sec penalty for contact or hitting the wall. Riding around with no drafting help sucks. The last race an Evo slams me in turn 4, then sideswipes the car in front of me. I go for the undercut and here comes a Ford Gt who barely makes contact with me. I think no harm no foul as we both continued on. Wrong I come away with a penalty. Called it quits after that. BTW, I was using the Vette amongst a horde of Evos. I was gaining ground out of turn 1 every time.

Had a couple of good races at Spa this morning before work. Fairly clean, even got a complete contact free start in the first race as the top 5 were cautious around la source. But man, once it gets going at those times there is massive spread in the field and you can end up lapping against times and gaps rather than players. Helps me get my rhythm though.

Was wondering why the posts here slow down earlier than before and realized I forgot about daylight savings. Going to be interesting soon when we switch here and my 9pm slot will be 5 am EST. Might see some strange racing. Might spot a live @Sven Jurgens on track as those nights progress.

That 1st race was fun. The last one? :odd:
I made it up to 5th, and called it quits after that one too. It was starting to get a little argy bargy in there. Was coming in to give you a boost to keep you in the mix when the penalty popped up :irked:. Good racing with you again as well. Felt good to have an ally out there .

Don't know if this has been mentioned on here recently, but the amount of 'S' class drivers (B / A DR) who cut infront of you to get a bump boost after loosing speed from a penalty reduction.

It seems like an epidemic, never used to be this bad before...

I only race on euro servers, not sure what it's like in other area's, it's never been as prolific as it's been on Monza and Blue Moon.

i have been meaning to bring this up, its almost at the point where we need PD to just ghost and Auto-Drive cars in the penalty zone or something. maybe just keep them ghosted longer idk. it is definitely a problem.

I did a couples races from the back yesterday morning before work in daily C , 1rst race i forgot to set the overtake button on this account but i finished in second place , race after a idiot given me 8 second penalty diving from .500 behind twice in the same lap after i passed im without any contact twice :/ so race was over 4 me i let everyone go did the FL gaining back a couples SR . Last race started 17 and win with the FL . Awesome battles with a Brazilian KingEnzo close kleen and respectful racing at is best with this guy . Racing is so awesome when its done with respect 👍 cant wait to see next week combo i don't work next week :)

It's difficult because tracks are so different in their layout, but I think this would help, or at least be better than what we have now.

Maybe have the penalty zone before the slowest corner on the track, so when they rejoin, everyone's speed is going to be closer.

And / or - the person taking the penalty (and rejoining) is ghosted until they reach a certain mph / kph which is around the average / top speed non penalty takers would be going at around that point.

I know it's been discussed to death, but I think it's impossible to get a truely fair penalty system in online racing, but the current could be so much better with just some simple changes.

But it's PD, ever since the first online races in GT5 prologue simple fixes to stop the cheats and trolls have never seemed to be on their (PD) agenda.

The corner cutters at Suzuka on GT5 prologue, if anyone remembers that / those hopefully you'll know what I mean.

:banghead: :boggled:  :boggled: :banghead:

Some tracks have the penalty zone before slow corners or even extending through corners when the penalty is 5 sec or more, which only leads to people abusing the ghosting and draft inside each other until the go slightly apart, solidify and bump, another penalty lol. Some penalty zones hardly effect lap times, some completely cripple you with only 1 or 2 sec. Higher penalties are usually not proportional to the actual time lost.

Removing the penalty zone will remove more accidents. Add the penalty time at the end and/or make a pit stop drive through mandatory if the time is 10 sec or more will make it more fair. If passing the pit with over 10 sec, add another 5 sec and pop up DQ warning if avoiding the pit again.

Of course the current system might as well be turned off since it is worse than a coin toss. It only somewhat works when 2 trouble makers decide to destroy each other. Even then, I see one disappearing to SR.B, the other walking away with a blue S...

The Corvette is surprisingly good around here. I use Chevy almost exclusively for Gr. 3 and Gr. 4 races no matter the track, but usually don't have even a hope of winning against whatever the Meta of the week is. This week it's surprisingly competitive in the race, although my qualifying time of 43.17 lined me up 11th for the 1 race I did yesterday, when Monday it was good enough for 2nd to 5th. I might need to use the Evo to set a new qualifying time before using the 'Vette for the race itself. Still, I have 2 wins in 6 races with it, and it would've been 3 wins if not for a stupid penalty for being on the outside of Turn 2 on the last lap when someone dived onto the apron and touched me, but even in that race another Corvette won!

I had a bunch of good races from the back at Spa this morning. First one not so great (punted off a couple times) but then with sharpened avoidance skills, consistent top 5 finishes and a couple 3rd places. DR up another 2.5K sitting at 39K flat atm.

My current strategy is survive lap 1, try to avoid all the pinball stuff around you, then latch on to a fast driver and use a litle boost to stay in draft range if falling back a little. I don't bother passing until I see an opportunity where I can break the draft as well after a clean pass. Let the car ahead use his boost to stay ahead while towing me along, then when he inevitably goes a bit wide, pass, full boost away, hopefully into draft range of the next car.

That first lap though, here's the chicane in lap 1

I started at the back with you in one of them and we made nice time up thru the field I made it as high as 4th before falling to finish 6th and you took 8th. was a pretty good race we survived turn 1 mayhem. you were following me for a bit then I am not sure what happen......... I looked back at one point and you were not there

The best racing we had in a long time was when the penalty system was turned off there a couple months ago. The only change I’d make would be to bring back the SR downs into that version of the Penalty System and then leave it be. I’d rather police my own race then get BS penalties because some guy dives in on me and PD can’t seem to figure out how to assess a penalty to the correct car.

C race yesterday evening provided tremendously fun racing.
I ran across a bit of everything, from a walkoff to start facing the lower sr people back to 99 to an absolutely epic race in which the first place guy withstood heavy pressure for nine straight laps...I was happy to podium and I have to tip my cap.
C race is great fun. To me it’s the epitome of the game...Very high highs and very low lows and everything in between.
Truly, I have to thank my friend Sturk for his advice on alt use, which led me to realize that racing is fun and you will end up where you end up, therefore just go race main and alt.
At the end of the day great racing is great racing and rating fears shouldn’t stop a person from entering the arena for any daily or FIA that looks fun.
Call me a masochist but I like the crazy grid start into a hairpin with the Dallara.
Great racing is out there but you have to enter up to find it.
A few rough patches make the good ones even better.
Have a great day!

Down to 1:55.3 last night, good for top 50. Didn’t race, my knee started feeling like crap (ACL/MCL sprain/torn meniscus) so I called it a night. Thankfully it’s my right leg, if I had to do a load cell with this knee FML that would suck lol.
