I've actually "deleted" my alt accounts. However, I've always raced Group C cars using my main account.
Those cars are a joy for me. Not only can I see out when in cockpit, the shifting animations are cool as well. The sounds of the cars are what get me the most. The top speeds are standard features.
I actually dont do alot of FIA races. But my other 2 accts are both A/S bordering on A+ ( 46,000 & 47,000)
I try and level them up as fast as possible. I just alternate between them trying to keep them all up.

I'm getting DR levels I usually only achieve around the Nordschleife, it's going to end in tears. Mine.
Coming against more Toyota's the further up I go.
Started pitting end of 2nd lap if in a good position.
I'm getting SR down when the hybrids hit me, I leave plenty of room on both sides of the Peugeot on corner exit, but still they hit me, nice speed boost sometimes, ha.
Going to have to farm SR for a few races to make up for their incompetence :grumpy:

i find in the 1st chicane before dunlap on the left hander you need 2 on the strip 2 on the blacktop. On the right hander you can get away with the left sides being on the rumble strip to get a more of a straight line out
I find it weird in its apparent inconsistency. Sometimes you blatantly cut it and no penalty, others you feel you've taken it perfectly, or well within limits, and up pops a 0.5s penalty. Haven't really attacked it for ages just to avoid a penalty!

Someone has planted a 787b into the top 10 in EMEA with a 3:18.8. He definitely knows where the track limits are. Only time I've been on those parts of the track have been on the way to a wall!

i get sideswiped as i'm overtaking a toyota , yet i get the 2sec penalty for causing a collision +i lost 16 SR points for that sole penalty/SR down in a goddamn race C!

How is the game this old and track limits haven't been addressed yet? It seems like the simplest thing to program by having a map layer and if 4 wheels cross an invisible plane, you get a penalty.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. As I was blowing past a Toyota on the straight, he jerked his wheel to the left to side-swipe me for no good reason. I didn't get a penalty for that, but I did get one when I slowed down to blast his ass into the wall!

I guess. But aren’t clean racers rare? Unless you somehow make the highly unlikely requirement to reach DR A.

It's not a magic gate of entry where only the clean race. I personally found DR B cleaner, A is more 'rubbing is racing' and door banging.

Clean people exist at any rank, the dirty stand out and you remember them more. Maybe it's why you picture a clean racer as a rarity when if you ask me or anyone else here, we'll tell you otherwise.

You really gotta think in c race...Is challenging in a corner right at this moment what I want to do.
Yesterday twice I decided not to pass late towards a braking zone
Both times the player ahead messed up no tcs on lmao. In a car with top end you choose when to make a move.
Nothing funnier than coming up on a ts050 trying to overtake another on the straight and flying by!
The Gazoo racing ts050 I linked to before was 1000hp
If you think no tcs is a good idea on that...
These modern cars have advanced tcs systems for a reason...So much power a computer is better at putting it down than a human.
I’m tryin tcs five later to see how it does.
Probably massively helps tire wear.
@sturk0167 that image is a crackup! Great find, lol
Basic dog psychology. Low quality but...

When the world's against you...

Desperately trying to recover to B/S before tonight's final FIA EMEA slot, I did Race B from last position. Up to 7th, the Beetle in front crashes on exiting the chicane of death on the last lap and I plough into the back of him. He continues and finish in 8th. Had his car ghosted, I'd have been P6 at the end. He apologised, but I told him it was more the game's fault that he didn't ghost when it's happened in the past.

So, it's still C/S for the final slot...

I don’t know if this where I should ask is a DS4 controller have any advantage over some one who spent real money on a wheel and pedal set up. Do they have the advantage in the penalty choice of the AI in the game (Simulators ). I for one see it as a advantage for the PS4 controllers on penalty’s .

@milehighmadd Go for Le Mans. I am on the DS4 as are many others on here and it is really fun. Just takes the practice and patience of learning any track. In fact this has always worked almost like a bonus track as because of the length people quit, make more mistakes and so you cam do really well keeping it smooth and consistent.
That and having a psychic co-pilot to help with finding the mythical moving track limits.

1 race last night I ended up with no track limit penalties despite cutting the first chicane down the mulsanne straight both first laps when the hybrids I had passed decided to bomb it hard up my right. Over slowed, kept clean through the cones and delayed flooring it until past the end of the inside curb. Probably cost me more time than the penalty, but I was the only 1 in the lobby with no penalty at the end.

On another note I have seen hybrid drivers get penalties for flooring it straight into me out of a slow corner, Ford chicane and arnage, and I also had 2 get penalties for swerve blocking me at the last second on a straight when I had a full head of steam. Both times it was the same driver, very deliberate. Good to see it worked on him.

@LVS_1986 as for alt account with risk. I just created it for 2 options, 1 was to try and randomly catch races in the Americas region maybe with people from here. The other was again to try races, like the karts last week, where your SR can get destroyed through general racing and I don't want the need to go farm SR to get back to cleaner lobbies. I still have 1 last goal to knock my DR to A at least once to say I made it before I pull the plug and just race. I am naturally a B driver, but been so close a couple of times I want to say i could milk a good combo to get there. After that who knows about the alt. Might die from lack of use, unless they bring the Teslas back.

No. There is a lag advantage though. The ones with worse lag have a higher chance of getting away with stuff and giving penalties to others.

It's usually the upload / upstream lag that is worse, so their car behaves worse on your screen than yours on theirs. A laggy player can simply follow you closely and have his car bump you off without getting a penalty. The also stall in corners (delayed acceleration) increasing the chance of you touching their lagging car, giving you a penalty.

Raced all 3 qualifiers in the Daily TT's today and enjoyed them all 👍 here's my best laps so far :) I went against the usual suspects for Le Sarthe and used the old 787b .. what a great drive it is and that noise like being attacked by a nest of angry wasps haha :D:tup:

Tokyo Outer Loop

Dragon Trail Seaside

Le Sarthe 2 lapper cockpit lap 1 and chasecam lap 2

Great set of events this week

I don't think clean racers are rare at all, I think the majority try to be clean. Awareness and being able to race close to another car is another matter entirely, and more down to experience and ability. The amount of drivers I've encountered that are side by side but swing into apexes as if there's nobody else on the track is unbelievable, but half the time it's because they only know one way to take that corner and don't know to go a little slower, take a slightly different line and leave space, or they don't know the other driver was there to start with. Or the worst one, they think that because they're two inches ahead you should yield

Loved every second of that 787b lap! I'd want that wiper shifting though

I would take that challenge, I have beaten many A+ drivers in the 962 while they have been in hybrids. I can usually get pretty close to the podium or on the podium starting from the back, and I’m no Alien. The car is plenty capable, much more than just a novelty.
The challenge is though, how close can you get to a TS050 race time in a 962? Not - can you beat "X" level of driver. Which car is fastest over the five laps with a x5 fuel multiplier? Personally I think the Porsche would do very well to be within 5s of the Toyota's time

I never even noticed it was there until you mentioned it :D:tup:
Actually, can I give you a couple of tips? Going into Indianapolis/Arnage you're a bit over cautious (easy done) not much lost though, entering the Porsche curves, could probably go in in 4th with a short brake and lift rather than slowing down into 3rd, again, not too much lost there but the last two chicanes, you can take much, much quicker. Watch a few replays of the top guys to get an idea of the lines and speeds and have a practice. A couple of different lines could see you knock well over a second off that lap

Yeah I can defo take much more off as I only had about 8 complete laps at Le Sarthe but know I can take a good chunk off with some more effort and be less cautious 👍

I guess it's per definition an alt. It's my American cousin....

Boring - again.

Fair enough Tokyo, at night, in the rain that's interesting. But using the GT86 and BRZ (again) hmmm. If they're gonna do pick n mix why not the Subaru 22B vs Evo... for example or one make Ferrari... I could make so many suggestions... I do like BRZ but it just feels like Ann easy option from PD to keep choosing these cars

Gr3 at Dragon Trail - laughable... that track and combination has been KILLED out. They could even try a one make Gr3 car or 1vs battle but nope. Or even try the circuit in reverse... but nope.

Gr1 laughable again... repeat x5. What about like I dunno, it doesn't have to be high power for Le Mans. I remember a great N100 mx5 race there. Or maybe like. Gr1 one make.

I am definitely losing interest in GT sport now... I think it's life cycle is defitnrly coming to an end. Even the championship races are repeats and ppl spamming 1 car. Spam me I spam u

I just run my daily mileage in the 787 and made just under 2 secs on my best lap 👍 I reckon I can get another second or so.. but no way it can go as fast as the Alpine or the LMP cars.. Those 3'16's are stupid fast

Will try again tomorrow considering we have plenty of time being grounded and not allowed to play out :p:tup:

Btw I mapped my wheel to allow the window wipers and tried to stop the blade at the side of the windscreen but it kept resetting back to the middle :dunce:
