Taking my little pony out for a spin at Monza.:scared:
5 A/S drivers at front. Rest of the 19 are D/S.
Turn 1 here we go:cool:

And the result was 2 really clean races. Then I got places in an all A and A+ lobby. It was like a demolition derby. Pushed wide at parabolica, punted twice on the first chicane at the start. Run completely off track at the end. What a pack of arseholes. Down to SR A again since it was obviously all my fault.

Last 2 First with clean race bonus at dirty Monza this morning , did 3lap on hard taking it easy staying out of trouble get on med push for 7 lap , i only overtake 4 cars on track ;)

Nice! I was getting 8 Laps out of Meds in the Mustang last night, I like its gearing a little better then the GTR for Monza, it’s also easier to get on the throttle out of the slow corners as well. :)

@Invisigoth I wasn't driving Godzilla today but was definitely booing because of it.
Had a good night overall. 4 clean fun races despite some bumping into turn 1 most of them. Aaand 1 death match. Overall I had a good run. Took @Chevy Heavy pink pony out for a spin and made it count!

Some complete plumsack tried to pass me lap 2 at the second part of the first chicane from nowhere leaving me with a 1 second penalty and dead last. What on earth were they thinking.

I had a guy on a 5 second penalty.
Caught him with just over a lap to go and he blocked and bumped me everywhere.
Still passed him at the end for 3rd.

One of your favourites in flo yellow/green was wrecking everyone behind us.

How do you create a PSN account in a different Geo location?

Now that we're all stuck at home for the foreseeable future, might as well try to get quick at this game again.

Just make a new email address and select your location manually when creating the new account. I found it easier on the PlayStation website then doing on the PS4 itself. 👍

Monza murdered my S SR rating and put me into the B group. One guy decided to barge me into the start of the pit wall - and I got the 10 second penalty.

I do enjoy Gr.3 at Monza and have had some awesome races. Best result so far being a 2nd place finish from 10th and being punted down to last - in the Atenza of all cars! I've tried the DBR9 too. Not quite able to keep up with the GT-R, but seems a more stable car.

I can sum up Race C in 3 videos compiled soley of races in the Monday night/Tuesday morning period this week. I was trying to use them to repair DR/SR after the weekend's rating nightmare:

🤬

In my little world, i thought that in Sport Mode there were mostly clean players and that you could have some awesome and clean races with...

Guess i was wrong :boggled:

revenge is stupid and get you down to their level
Hardly. That is a false equivalency.
A more accurate way of putting it would be that he mugged me, and I chased him down and did what I had to do, to get my wallet back.
I don't hit the cars that make passes on me, or accidentally hit me.

I honestly believe that taking out the bad guys cleans the game up to some extent, and doing nothing only emboldens them.
I understand your viewpoint. I respect the idea of turning the other cheek.
To each, their own.

Right, if everyone turned the other cheek the behavior is rewarded with good finishes. However if EVERYONE had zero tolerance, then players SIDESWIPING INTENTIONALLY ON STRAIGHTS would lose positions every time. More importantly their fun is ruined...

In other news, last night I jumped in it...

I figured b would be a circus, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a lobby filled with folks racing fair. For my first time out on the ring in sport mode in anything over n100, it was fun. My qual put me top ten and I was lucky, just concentrated on making a clean lap and did my best to get good runs on the key exits...
Clean n fun, I will do more b races definitely...

Do you make a hit-list of dirty drivers? I'm honestly thinking about it if for just calling them out in the lobby before the race and warning everyone.

I did one B race last night because it was the end of the night and it was the first of the 3 to be starting soon. So with less than 5 minutes practice, no qual, and not having been on the 'ring in over a year, what could go wrong? Nothing actually. There were only two cars behind me, and they screwed up the first turn. The combo requires some patience behind the wheel, or maybe it's because I've been on racing tires the last month, but I just took it slow and managed to pick up a few spots by simply not wrecking. When I came to the end of the final straight there were cars everywhere and I just coasted through. I think I ended up 12th. I forgot how much fun the ring is just as a driving road. Maybe I'll put some practice in.

Why does Race C require medium and hard? Surely it should offer both but only require hard, offering the potential strategy of a no-stop vs. 1-stop?

The thing about it is, in other aspects of life, in certain hobbies in which there’s a need to share a resource (like a track)with others, breaches of etiquette result in all sorts of negative consequences. There’s a slew of unwritten ‘rules’
You may choose to breach those rules but you will get a hard time and a lot of pain, both physical and mental.
I was lucky last night that I had an unofficial ‘teammate’ if you will all over the place behind me preventing faster folks on no qual from being able to pressure. (Never met him before, S American) Good to see ya out @chuyler1!
@Deadpool!

Edit it’s the opposite of dirty to help build a zero tolerance racing culture

What's really satisfying about race C is a lot of the dirty drivers are unaware of the tire settings.

Getting punted on the final lap, and finishing in front of the person that punted you is a fantastic feeling. It's happened a surprising amount of times this week.

I'm also in favor of vigilante justice. Monza in particular brings out some exceptionally sketchy driving, you have to race people the way they race you. People aren't gonna learn if you don't retaliate.

Yeah. I have written down the names of 4 drivers (2 are A+) that were such horrible scumbags, I determined that I'd punt them on sight.
Interestingly, I've never seen any of them again. :odd:

I crossed the line in 9th behind a couple of punters. Once all was said and done, and the 20 sec penalties handed out, I actually finished 4th. Was very happy about the 4th place seeing as I started dead last, but not too happy about being demoted from S to B for all the daft SR downs.
