It seems that race isn’t kind to your SR, why not try a different race to bring it up to a more suitable level and therefore (hopefully) better competition/drivers?
I hadn't had touch trouble with it honestly, only one driver being bad every few races or so. The problem I have is I set a QT for race A so I start mid pack and get rumbled to lose SR. I cant find my way around spa all that well, and race C provides the biggest chunks of SR for gains.

I have actually only had 3 bad races there this week, most problems outside of those races are the issues when I run into packs of cars and try to nurse it behind them, leading to issues with the cars behind. Just a real pain when 1 bad race with a determined rammer/bomber means 3 races or more to recover the damage. I'm also too stupid to back out of the fight.

Question for those that have a longer Sport Mode history than me - As a whole, does the competition become worse or better when they give us a higher category of car for the daily races?

My only experience is with Gr.4 and Gr.3 for Sport Mode. I'm split on my decision, as I've had equal amount of good/bad races in both categories.

I know there was an event with the SF at Laguna Seca a couple of weeks ago, yet I opted out of it as I just started Sport Mode and wanted to evaluate.

Doesn't make much of a difference IMO. For the level/speed of driving.
If you mean clean vs dirty, it depends more on the track.

Neither. It all depends on the car and track combo. For example, this week’s race C been fine for me. Not too many issues. Now next week’s Gr2 at Autopolis...I am not touching that, not with my main account at least

My limited experience is that as you go up in the spec, the better drivers do rise to the front, as it can be harder to be consistent and get 10/10 out of the really fast / aero cars.

I really enjoyed the Gr2 race at Barcelona: it was challenging (and the daily races at Suzuka recently), there were clear gaps in performance between drivers and I think it was more consistent when comparing the results vs your given skills. It was definitely different in that regard. As for whether it was dirtier or not, it's the same people, but I will say that its harder for a hack to keep up, so perhaps there is overall a little less garbage going on, due to limited windows of opportunity for people. If you're faster (and consistent... as opposed to a lot of the people who cause the trouble) you can gap people, so there is maybe a smaller window for people to cause the trouble. That said: it's GTS and it's online with no real world consequences!

I have had trouble getting up to speed in SF cars, and I expect the Gr1 cars to be a challenge at Spa (and Laguna... gulp), it's definitely harder to get the most out of those cars and the fast guys are going to be definitively faster....

It all depends a lot on the time of the week, though. As everybody gets better, but on Fridays a lot of new ppl join, I guess. etc.
It can often be easy to have good results in fast cars early on, because many don't survive.
But then it also depends whether they are on the controller with Aids enabled. Then they will be more consistent (than I am)

Gr2 is a great match for Autopolis.
Maybe I will enterup next week.
This weeks races just looked like no fun to me so I haven’t run them.
Any reports from update? Pen system the same?
I think with the lockdown I played GTS too much the last couple weeks.
Burnt out.

Next week's races are up (brace yourselves):

Race A: N300 @ Willow Springs, 5 laps. Sports Hard tires.

Race B: Gr.4 @ Lago Maggiore GP, 3 laps. Racing Hard tires.

Race C: Gr.2 @ Autopolis, 12 laps. Fuel x2 Tires x6 Hard tires.

Edit: oops, saw it was posted already. Back to my cave

Am I alone in missing St. Croix? Any class, any race. Not even FIA races (at least not that I remember).

Literally, talk to the hand. Hands are shaking. Not because I'm near 50yo. either. This car has me on the edge. DOn't know if my heart can take it.

Close. The competitoon is too close. Lowered my time by 1 second(2:19.784) from my Atenza time. Seriously, some clean racing and this is at the back!

It's no joke out there. Again, seriously, hard, clean, fair racing! Stopping on a high.

How do you have so many liveries already? It just came out today!

The are literally doing everything to prevent me from grinding it up to DR A.:banghead:

Not only did the send a 911 to the FF Gr4 Race A,
no he also has to punt me off to last place in Turn 2.

Not this glitch again.

Its likely that they will have joined race B but for some reason they ended up in race A instead, should have asked them about it.

I've actually seen it before via posts on here, God knows what causes it. :sly:

That actually makes sense.

Was hoping you or he'd have shared the replay to see it for myself!
I've shared it just now under hashtags WTF and 911. "Daily Race A WTF 911 glitch".
Oops, three letter abbreviations also not politically correct :(

Utterly horrible day of trying and failing to get my SR back up mainly due to the fact that people think being half a second back is close enough for an overtaking chance putting me off and then in with the pack, which is no fun at all

It hurts the DR, but your best bet is to load up Race C, start from the back, and take it easy. From 55 SR, 2 races that way should get you back into the 90s.

Next week
A: N300 (provided) - Streets of Willow Springs - SH - 5 laps
B: Gr.4 - Maggiore GP - RH - 3 laps
C: Gr.2 - Autopolis - x2 fuel, x6 tyres - RH - 12 laps
Refuelling at 10L/s next week (not that you'd need to refuel)
Thx for posting. Love Gr2 - would like to race them at N'Ring.

But one question: Where did you get this information from?

Race B @ Spa:
Last one I did - I start second with the new Mazda Gr.3 with a Nissan GT-R in pole. First lap; I manage to keep up with it until he goes off track at turn 18 (the high-speed left kink before the Bus Stop chicane) and gets a 0.5 second penalty. I catch up to him before he serves it on the second lap so I follow him directly behind but he tries to brake check right when I pass through his ghost (I saw his brake lights come on - while he's ghosting), fortunately I don't hit him and drive relatively mistake-free until the Bus Stop chicane when he rams me off on to the barriers. I return back on track 4th and manage to pass the guys in 3rd and 2nd on the last lap because they were fighting each other, to finish 2nd myself some 5+ seconds adrift from the GT-R. No "I'm sorry" afterwards, nothing - because he hit me on purpose :/
The one before this race; I pass a Beetle cleanly right before Turn 11 when he goes a bit wide at Bruxelles but rams me off right away because he can't stand being passed.
There were two other races I did today in which other idiots divebombed me from behind going through Eau Rouge - I don't know how stupid one must be to dive to the inside at Eau Rouge knowing that the following Raidillon continues the other way!
I'm really fed up with these people - I'm passed being frustrated, I'm struggling really hard to not quit playing the game.
It's pointless trying to get better and care about the DR & SR ratings, I feel I'm wasting my time for nothing :(

Is it just me, it is the SR being REALLY strict lately? I'm getting single SR drops (None of them my fault) and I end a 10 lap race losing SR, even if the rest of the race is clean.

I just want to get back to 99SR for the race tomorrow, but I'm going further downwards.

I can certainly relate to that. Some people make mistakes but are desperate to keep their almost-lost positions, so they either put their car deep inside to hit you off, or just bump you in corner like Radillon, La Source, Pouhon or Blanchimont. With racing like that, I tend to not really fight for my position, even if it's in the top 5. If they want it that bad, they can have it. I'd rather have a clean Top 10 than a dirty podium.
