Especially when Gr. B gets its own in-game category. Why can't we have an in-game Gr. C?? We have 5 cars that could go immediately into that class, and if they add the Toyota 88C-V and Nissan R89C like they've had in the previous 3 GT titles, that's easily enough to justify its own class!

I still think that would go the way of the hybrids, and maybe some of the VGT cars. There are only 2 long straights and everywhere else is hard braking/hard acceleration zones.
There are fast sweepers as well. Only a few 90° turns. I'm going to do a TT, using the C9 versus TS050, later today.

Not too bad on the new wheel :) Felt like a good lap too.

Apologies for the delay.... youtube was being a silly bugger for over an hour! But never the less the video for this weeks Weekly race guide airs in 6 minutes time! I'll be in chat if anyone has any questions about this weeks races :)!

For those that watch later, enjoy;

Ok so figured out how to keep that hybrid power charged
Got my qualy to 1:27.097 will be faster now for sure 👍

And the trick, some of you know for sure, but at every brake zone, small brake input willl regenerate power. So even when yoi are still on 100% throttle, apply small input on brake.
It took few laps to not brake too much but anyway

Went into race C for first time, never raced it before and only know what I know from a few warm ups.

Ended 7th some how, so hoping with some improvements I can have some good challenging races!

scary to just jump into lol, did get one SR penalty, and raced pretty reserved and polite!
Got the basics for the track now.

gonna check out the laps posted here, thanks in advance for helping me figure out my lines!

goodluck

No matter how many times I say I'm quitting Daily Races, I don't learn.

After putting in a decent QT at Goodwood in the Mini, tempted fate to see if it was worth at least a few runs today, before the amateurs lucked into a better time than their talents, and before the dads let their kids drive on their account with their qualifying times... after realizing what I thought was a decent QT only translated to a back-half grid start in a A+/A/B room, I was rewarded in the first race with a clearly intentional rub job in the chicane at the end of the first lap, rendering my race over while lunging in the drivers' seat to try to gain momentum and catch up. Not possible. First SR donation of the day. And: the idiot that rubbed me... DNF quit the race anyway. Total waste.

Then after working to get my target QT at Seaside, in the Gr3 cars, didn't learn my lesson yet so I jumped in a couple of dailies. First one, binned it on my own getting on the gas too fast out of the hairpin on L1. No problem, my own fault, I caught up and minimized the damage to my SR.

Second race, not so lucky. After a typically fast and furious first half lap, with a decent starting position, was rear-ended by a typical Daily Racer while under braking into the hairpin. Game over. Managed to claw my way back to 9th after being spun out to dead last. Took a look at the replay to see how my 'benefactor' fared, only to see that he must have been checking his texts and drove straight off, ending his own race... nice. Great that he bothered to ruin mine first.

Guess he can't text and drive. Maybe that's why he braked 100 ft later than me on the first lap.

I'll never learn. Another nearly 1000 SR points gifted to the ****** that show up and ruin others' races, in the course of one hour and a half session. Back to practice for the FIA events, I guess.

Anyway, got solid QT that are well under my K' target for the week... unless someone finds a shortcut at Goodwood, like at Willow Springs last week, should bump that over my target. Don't know that I'll bother trying the Gr1 race, though I'd like to.

(I really don't mean to post only negative thing about daily races, it's just that it's all that ever seems to happen.)

I've done a few races now on C using RCP90. I am about 1.5/2 sec a lap slower than the TS050 for example. But I am a low DR 'B' (and currently very low SR due to getting rammed!!!!) and you can get good racing against those using the quicker LMP1 cars.
Had an R92 and 962 in my race, but they got the smackdown by some LMPs, recovering from early offs on Lap 1.

I logged on and you where not just on top of my friends list as usual but had a gap of over five seconds :)

Edit: to say something positive about daily races.

I ran a few laps on race B to set a Qt, made 1:34 flat in 3 laps. Then time to race.
First one was clean as a whistle, in the AMG. Second, tried the RSR, hard apparently to leave room in curves,I had overlap and clearly stuck to my edge but still got bumped a few times. Nothing serious, no penalties, simple racing incidents.
Third,CRB as first, AMG. Hard but clean fight with a British driver in a Renault. Made podium.
3 races,SR 99 still, DR +2k

Wanted to say thanks for tips / info on the forum about the hybrids + videos!

The few times I’ve used the TS050, I was just racing, knew absolutely nothing about how the battery worked.

1st C race I raced this way, had to pit a get 5laps of fuel.

After reading just a few comments here n Tidgney’s video I went the whole race without stopping.

BUT I lost a spot on the last straight because I ran out of gas lmao.

Thought it was super fun! Tried to be aggressive to catch people and drift but almost no opportunity since I was 2nd / 3rd mostly. I think if I could have done this better I would have been much better off the last few laps.

Most of last 2 laps I had to really trim the power and under shift lol. Went from 2nd to 6th!

but super fun, and something that will be much better with practice!
Thanks again guys!

Had a reasonably good time in 3 race C's this evening, though people haven't got the message it's a fuel saving race and think the fact they're approaching corners 10 mph faster than me since they're going for a pit stop means they should lunge their nose up the inside of every corner from a mile back rather than follow me through and pass on the next straight. Racecraft is a dead art.

I still meed to go back to race C and try to.figure our the fuel saving. Didn't do a great job with the hybrid either, ended up hitting the last lap with 0.5 laps of fuel left. I was shifting by halfway and coasting into braking zones so just going to need practice. But then there is an FIA up tonight. Hmmm.choices.

Do love high speed cars at Sardegna A, it really lends itself to that type of driving. Also like Goodwood so going to be cramped trying to get those races in.

Yesterday I did one C. Started 17th beacause of my bad QT. So decided to do nostopper. Everything was going good, some people died by mistakes, some engaged in battles and also died. I was swaping position with some frenchman, last lap before last corner he ran out of fuel, I started to laugh... When I was just on final straight also ran out of fuel:D Lost 2 position and came 14th...

I'm a longtime "B/S" driver who was inching very close to A/S rating. Then today, along came Dragon Tail Garden -- Race B. Not my worst track by a long shot. But about 6 or 7 races later, I found myself at C/E!!

I honestly wasn't trying to be too aggressive and never intentionally punted anyone. Started with a few races with bogus (I thought) penalties, and my SR plummeted. Then it was a quick downward spiral. When you get down into the C or worse rooms (both DR and SR) it's the wild west. Total free for all. HELP! (I was C/C when I quit for the day. Hoping for betters days this week.)

Look on the bright side, now you have chance for few easy wins:)

Started with the C9. One initial lap each

Watching the replays, look like I was "...granny shifting, not double clutching..." like I should.
Running the C9 without a warm up, I felt the most comfortable. Definitely vision from the cockpit is way better and I could sight the corners better.
TS050 still feels twitchy. Driven the car so much, but each time I take it out, feels like the first time.
I can go faster in both. However, I think the C9 would come out on top again. I had to slow it up the most and the live driving, "felt" more hectic than what the replay shows.

Daily Races:

Started good and then, I caught an RSR into T1. Stayed behind into the chicane. Coming out of the chicane, I had awesome exit speed, moved the steering slightly left and the car snapped the rear viloently. RIGHTLEFTRIGHTLEFTLEFTLEFTRIGHT!!!! Off you go!(not quite, the car behind tried to go past on my right and felt the fury of the right rear corner. Whoops!).

Fun race.

Geez, Louise! I started dead last. Madce sure to keep clear of the inevitable. Cars were spearing off ahead. DId some of them have wets on or ice blocks for tyres? Ridiculous.
Moved up to around 13th heading to T1. I stayed WAAAYYYYYYY right, because I knew the 919 was going to be later on the brakes and faster through the corner. Dude still hits me in the rear.
Down around 17th, kept my pace. Was 1.5 seconds slower than the leader. Pit Lap 9 with 0.8laps in the tank(shifting at redline). Tyres still barely worn. Players at the back, I don't know how they were losing grip with that awd. Crazy. Anyway, kept my pace and managed the gaps ahead and behind. Good car.

Give us another Bathurst race already! Most under represented track in the game
Yeah!

I reckon they don't use it because it is so hard for non-Aussies to master, and then for most of us Aussies, too.

I wonder what guys like the Tidge think of Bathurst? Technically difficult, I would imagine. I watched Rory Alexander's victory in the recent 24-Hour race there. A testament to reliable, fast laps.

Anyone remember Dick Johnson's 2nd driver, John French? Dick regarded him highly, as he was not ultra fast but extremely reliable and very sympathetic to the car.

The race (The Great Race, Bathurst 1000) these days is a very different beast.

I've recently been promoted to B, and I can tell you it is every bit as dirty as C. I reckon that a large number of B racers, in particular, have an aggressive streak. I put this down to an inflated sense of their ability, having risen from the depths, and they see their trajectory as being on an upward curve.

Icarus comes to mind, and I am fully aware that my own abilities are rather limited, and C beckons. LOL.

A little something serious I do have to say, as I saw this in post-race chat, and it angered the 🤬 out of me.

For the love that is all holy, DO NOT tell someone to kill themselves. I was doing my Daily Race C testing, when someone told another person that after the race ended. I know that wasn't aimed at me, but that is an insanely cruel thing to say, and hits too close to home. What if that person was questioning on doing it, and being told that was their breaking point? It can carry a huge weight on that person, which can lead to someone actually doing an attempt to end their own life.

no game is worth making comments like that, unfortunately some people think the comments they make online don't mean anything.
