Think I must be missing something then.

It is kind of difficult to explain. It's just something you learn to do. I'll dust off this video. Notice when I take that left leading up to the top of the hill? There are faint whisps of tire smoke to indicate the braking technique I've tried to describe. You're correct that it will kill tires quicker, but I don't do many daily race Cs.
I use a wheel, but have raced motoGP on PS for years with the controller. The buttons are NOT on/off. They are pressure sensitive and, with practice, part throttle and braking can be done. What rating are you? I use partial throttle using R2 trigger and TC at 1 and still go off. Not sure how using an on/off button and TC at 0 is even possible.

Wow, I did not know that. Thanks
No BoP. Patch notes say collisions between vehicles in sport mode races are less elastic (less like billiard balls, more like lumps of plasticine or putty). No sure how much difference it's made but it should help reduce the effectiveness of the punt and the push to pass strategies.Morning! If I remember correctly yesterday was some ingame info about todays "server maintance"? In EMEA between 6-8? Question is anybody noticed any changes? Maybe BoP?
Thank youI did a bit of digging, I think you'll find this is no longer true. PS2 and PS3 controllers had them but all the information I could find says the only analog controls on the DS4 are R2/L2 and the ministicks.

People ask why would you race without qualifying? Here is the answer...So I was hoping race C would not become a total cluster until tomorrow night. No such luck. Tried to have a quiet 1 and recover my SR from the chaos last night. Got 6 seconds of penalties in 1 lap. A 4 and a 2, both from someone flat out not braking and punting someone into my rear. I keep moving up positions during the race, but this kind if last to whatever I can recover is BS. Since I basically waste lap 1 then start at the back but pissed off. Dropped another 20 SR. Once we clear turn 1 lap 2 it seems to cool off, but until then it is a right war zone.
Oh well, 1 more because I am stupid.![]()
Is that Race A? - I very rarely get disconnects, but Goodwood is one of the two circuits where it happens to me (can't remember which the other track is!).Anybody experiencing problems with the servers? I've gotten disconnected from about 10 races today... That's never happened before, really odd. There goes my DR, about 5k worth, lol. I don't even know why I'm still trying but I am!
Watching the braking points that most are using I'm realizing the disadvantage the controller is. The degrees of braking input is very limited compared to someone using a pedal. What percentage of people are using steering wheel vs controller?

This would have been helpful at Interlagos FIA last weekend.I did a bit of digging, I think you'll find this is no longer true. PS2 and PS3 controllers had them but all the information I could find says the only analog controls on the DS4 are R2/L2 and the ministicks.
