Has anyone else had this happen. For the third time in a couple weeks, when I warmup for a race, the screen is black. I can see all the data, the track map, etc. but it's like all the windows of the car are painted black and I can't see out. All I can do is steer to the side till I hit a wall and stand on the brakes. Is it an issue that anyone's had? When the race starts, thankfully full view is restored.
I saw that happen to you, wondered why you dove for the sand trap. While it hasn't happened to me, from what I've heard from others what Hasnain282 said is apparently the cure.

That is what is confusing me about the Genesis. The BoP adjustment gives it 600HP (3rd most) at 2837lbs (6th lightest) - considerable power/weight ratio advantage over everything else...

I try that car periodically, along with others...I haven’t had much success with it in race, although maybe it was a go to at Interlagos c race last time? I can’t remember if it was that car lol but an unusual car was doing well...I just haven’t found much success in it...It seems many of the cars qualify great but are just meh in race.
The vette never seems to let me down ::shrug::
My qual in the Genesis after a few laps was low 48.
Conversely I’m 45.8 in both vette and 911 with TCS3 BB0 on c race.
The 911 let me down in race, it lacked power with full tank, but was ok late.
It let me down by instability in the chicane. One time was enough to lose me a chance at a win, lost exit speed onto the front straight...
With vette I have power on the straights and laptimes just don’t change much over the course of the race.
911 is a great car, it can be fast in the right hands, and IF you don’t get held up momentum wise in the corners.
The vette is just soooo consistent and once you get the hang of it (smooth slow progressive inputs) it’s very easy to drive, especially with TCS default.
I like to stick with one car mostly. You get to know it that way.
GR4 is another story. The Megane and Mustang are my favorites there. Again power. Again TCS3. Lol.
People tell me TCS?! WHAT ARE YOU STUPID OR SOMETHING?!!!
Lol Don’t hate the player...

@sturk0167 check out my ‘loud’ vette livery when you get a chance...Two photos shared up. Also here’s to all of us fighting the good fight in game takin the good with the bad...
Cheers my friends...

With no chicanes, will it still be the TS050? Or does the Mazda 787B have a chance...

It's even worse in real motorsport, because the track limits are not enforced the curbs rubber in as much as the track. The green strip of death at Spoon (Suzuka) actually has as much grip as the track.

Drivers will always drive wherever is quickest, if you want to slow them down don't paint a white line put an actual deterrent (grass, gravel, wall, etc) in the way. Nobody complains about track limits at the Nordschleife.
Well Suzuka's tarmac is coming up on 60 years old and famously has about as much grip as wet kitchen tile, so that's not the best example. But you're right the grip dropoff from running onto that is completely exaggerated in GT Sport.

Going OT on the music tangent. Rock and Roll photographer IRL and devastated by what's happened to the industry. Here are a couple of bands which are definitely worth checking out. Good long jam driving songs...

1. King Gizzard & The Lizzard Wizzard. Insane psychedelic rock band from Down Under...

2. Khruangbin. Funky middle eastern fusion.

3. Tedeschi-Trucks. A modern day reincarnation of Delaney & Bonnie & Friends:

4. Delaney & Bonnie & Friends. If there is one takeaway this is it - the greatest rock and roll band you've probably never heard of. Quick story is Delaney (member of the Shindogs) & Bonnie (first white Ikette) got married and were singing in a LA club. Gram Parsons walks in and is so blown away he flies them to England to meet some of his friends who were on hiatus and joined the band as backup players (Eric Clapton and George Harrison). Members of the band also included Leon Russel, Bobby Whitlock, Duane Allman, Gregg Allman, Dave Mason, Rita Coolidge, King Curtis, Gram Parsons, and Joe Cocker. Derek & The Dominoes, The Swampers, The Blues Brothers, and the Wild Englishmen were all built around its former members. Beyond amazing and well worth digging into their catalog - you will be amazed.

@Fennario,

Epic post man! Thanks!

I found the same. I was running consistent mid 47s in the 'Vette, last night. Low 48s in the Porsche, today.

I just find that the 911 with fuel weight is sluggish. Cold tires lap one skittish. Overall lacks power.
To get the most out you have to carry speed through apex so perfectly not to be a sitting duck on the next straight...It’s fastest (911) dancing on the limit.
I’ve seen guys do it but I ain’t that good.

Oh god, the excitement is through the roof! Almost 400km/h in the slipstream down the longest straight in motorsport, with 3, 5, 10 Gr. C cars, legends of the Hunaudiéres, all in a tight pack; the camaraderie that can be felt in the air as you and the others are driving pure thoroughbreds of motorsport...

...and then you have to brake for the Mulsanne corner. :scared:

All jokes aside, super excited that my grind of BMB in the KTM X-Bow will be fruitful, I'll buy ALL DA GROUP C'S! 🤬 love those cars .

Or at Bathurst. ;)

PD must have recently hired someone cool. :odd:

Either that or they have been into the saki and thinking outside their box. LeMans no chicane hell yeah, now that's the kinda fun combo I was looking for. My guess is the Amuse S2000 for Race A. Race B, fugetaboutit

I really like King Gizzard. And for anyone else that into good jam bands check these out.

But it's going to be a Jag fest. The C9 pulls on acceleration, but the XJR-9 reels it in. My 787B might be able to hang with fuel. Can't wait to try all five though. Joy for everyone! :)
the last time I remember this combo it was an R92 fest with some of the Hybrids and vision cars doing a no stop not sure what fuel and tire multipliers were at but 1 stopping the R92 was still faster. But that was a long time ago maybe year or more
