PD got tired of us putting anime girls on cars.

I can't show my cars with Rias Gremory, Bowsette, Mai (bunny), etc :(

The obvious solution is to put anime girls on your suit. :P

My first two wins in daily races, plus several podiums while SR farming today. Not too shabby.

I bought it cause it's become my practice to practice in Arcade TT's, the car that's being used in the one make dailies. Bought a Ferrari last week.
That's a good idea, if you don't want to register any crap times in your history, instead of just jumping in the 'qualifying time' option on the race event page.

I do the same with my alt account to get a feel for whether it's even worth it, if I already have the car.

Not just that. I need the wheel time. And get to know the tracks better. This week I'll run through all my Gr. 4's for 5-7 laps. Pick the top 5 on best time (and feel). Then set up AI custom races in those with tire wear for 12 laps. See how they all do. Then I'll take the one I feel best in, that meets other requirements, to the race lobby.

I know it sounds like a lot of fuss to just go get slammed, banged, and punted. But it's something to do.

And I'm going to have to figure out how to 'alt account'. I might need one to let the beast run free every once in awhile.

I tried TCS5 and still oversteered off the track. CSA and ASM should be allowed exclusively for this car, lol.

I'll keep at it since I enjoy the track although I imagine the actual race is nothing short of chaos.

Love this track myself and yes even with TCS 5 it's all over the place I will keep going on to time trials to give it a few goes to see if I can stay on the track as the week goes on :)

This track is pretty hard, but you get a rhythym going , especially in the quad-left turn. DO pay attention, or you'll crash before you know it.

Edit: Also beware or drivers who want to really keep their position, cause they are there, and there are many of them.:grumpy:

Since tyre wear is not an issue, just slam BB all the way to the front to avoid oversteer. I run TCS 2/BB -5 and got 8:12.7 in time trial.

Well waiting a whole one hour not to "rush" into racing... .... channeling some Assetto Corsa Competizione GT4 DLC vibes. Starting alphabetically: Aston Martin, BMW, Ford, McLaren, Mercedes, Porsche.

Set a base time in the Vantage 1:41.241. Starting15/19
Set my fastest time of these cars using the Mustang. Also lost out to P1 by .051 to the Pole sitting WRX. I took the lead from P4, after 5 laps. Tyres were 6in point until lap 11. Literally fell off a cliff on the last lap. Allowing the WRX to get the lead at The Four Brothers.
It goes off after the blind crest. Gain it goes off on the penultimate corner. I get the inside on the final turn, but WRX has that AWD advatage out of the corner.

The Lancer is also pretty quick round there. Will try get a better quali time.

I know the feeling. Especially when you know you'll bottle it and may end up in his awesome race guides hahaha.

@Tidgney eager to see your track guide, got my time for race C, down to a 1:38.5. But sure there is time to be made.
I haven't seen a Lancer in any of my races. 650S is catching in. I couldn't get the speed out of it. Only started to do good as other cars tyre wear came into okay. However, the Scirocco is having amazing speed with worn tyres. I'm not using FFs in this one.

Trying to deny the race you want...

Finally giving in...

And finally, how you get treated in the race...

EGGxactly!

Good results in all cars but the Cayman. More in that later.

Aston was the smoothest and most consistent with wear and predictability in handling.

M4 has good corner exit speed. Not good top end. Tyre wear is consistent.

Mustang was a beast all race. Corner exit, mid-corner, exit speed, off-throttle turn in, top end. Tyre drop off is ridiculous on the last two laps.

McLaren. If you can get it to work, it's a weapon.

Mercedes was nice. Very quick everywhere. FMR layout helps place the car where you want.

Cayman. Has very high cornering speed but lacks top end.
Didn't finish the race, as I got bumped at T1 but a gtp member and I rage quit. The car ahead was wobbly and I was allowing it to recover. Got tapped my inside right rear. Couldn't recover and hit the Armco stopping me dead perpendicular to the barrier. I had been allowing players in previous races, to recover and paid the penalty of those behind capitalising on that. That off was the last straw.

Jumped in my alt account. Tried the RC F. Set a 1:38.4 first lap. In the race, it's mega. Faster than the FFs. I went to pass a WRX up the inside, at Seaside hairpin and the car was like it was on marbles and kept going off the track. Hit the wall. Dropped some spots. Attacked a C7. Passed it easily.

Kept the C7 behind as tyre wore prematurely.
Pit around Lap 8. Made up a few spots.
Got to bumper of the C7 on the final turn of the last lap. I had better exit speed, but wasn't going to push it off for the spot.

Guess I'm done. Looking forward to tonight at Autopolis in the "GR.A" GT-R.

Race C seems like it's gonna be my bread and butter this week, I absolutely love Gardens Reverse and I don't get to drive Gr.4 cars very often (lobbies seem to prefer Gr.3 with RSS tires...), and I'm not even going to bother qualifying for Race B. I went to Race A, qualified, not running it though, I am barely a few tenths away from the top 10 times. On Race C...

Mom? Mom? MOM THAT'S ME!
I am seriously so happy, I think this may be a turning point for me and it's given me so much more confidence, that I actually can take the fight and punch above my weight on raw one lap pace at the very least. Even if it's not all that impressive (y'know... one lap pace...) that won't take away my happiness, this has made my day. :D

In the race, a 650S that qualified around 1.5 seconds behind kept me on their sights for the whole race, and I was wondering why. I did end up winning the race pretty convincingly, but I was keeping one of my eyes on the gaps and the other on the track and running as consistently as I could.

So, after the "That was a good race!"'s and the "Thank you."'s, I saved the replay and went to watch it for a while. As in, 3 minutes. Because I thought I knew why that was the case.

For around half the race I was shouting to my imaginary race engineer as if I were Natalia Hamilton.

"Bono. Bono these tires aren't gonna make it- BONO! I can't keep the car behind! Can you not see that?"
"BONO MY TIRES ARE DEAD"

View attachment 942359

sheesh that's some wear.
The 650S behind, on the other hand...

"The tires feel good. Much grippier than before. Amazing."

View attachment 942360

Now I'm getting used to the 650, so I can have the same pace as I have with the Viper and race with the 650S' better tire wear. I also noticed how it uses a lot more fuel, therefore making it lighter than the Viper the longer the race goes for. We'll see how that goes.
DTG isn't dominated by FFs?? AND there's a Corvette in the Top 10?? Might have to give this race a spin...

Regarding this weeks daily races, I'm not going to : A) race kiddie cars B)drive aimlessly around the countryside in a death trap C)go backwards .Just my opinion. My fishing rods need some maintenance ,so I'm going to take a week off from racing :gtpflag:

Todays daily race guide :)! When I first heard the combos I thought... o no... not good. 2 of the races are spot on in my opinion. Always knew Race C wasn't an FF fest, only because I've driven the TT there often enough and know how had bad it is there even before the handling update haha!

New addition to it this week with brake markers being easily identifiable.

Good video. Nice drag race to the line, but still wondering why you pulled over to say hi to the wall early on. And yeah. I took a wild guess where the driver was from who doesn't like to be passed. I was right.

What its all about anime girls livery fashion? Grown man paints his car in some chinese fairy tales characters? Wtf? For me its creepy...

I never understood it. But I'm a grown 'old' man, so...

Most people do it for the memes, others are replicas of real life teams (see Goodsmile Racing's Mercedes), and some do it seriously.

I'd say most of them look damn good if they're done right but you know, differences in taste.

I have BB+2 for the tighter circuits, and the con of that is (obviously) lotsa oversteer. Just overcorrected trying to catch the guy in front, who was wicked fast.
