Could be worse! I'm in the Sonic club as well as an anime so you could be running round with hedgehog/foxes on your car!
cheers.gif

As for my night I have decided it's time for the ultimate test of my 'skills, bruh', gonna race the '65 Mini since i see it gets a power boost and see if I can win with it!
Sonic is cool, and it matches to race car, hes fast right? Only anime I know is Dragon Ball Z, I even like it. Imagine livery with Vegeta:) but girls? Bulma livery? Nah...

True and it's just complete co-incidence that I just finished a Tomahawk X livery with Vegeta for a friend of mine so I guess I'd better get that published soon so you can decide if you want to use it or not.

Yes, evil works in mysterious ways sometimes!

er.. yeh sure.. it's available to all on my TPC-Leftcurl psn. Not sure the best way to find it, maybe FR me and then click on my decals gallery?!?
Yes, that was what Im going to do afetr work:) possible easiest way to get it:cheers:

The thread has had an evil tinge to it today but now I guess I have to try and do a Miku tail lights design having seen these pictures today.

yeh, i went through a phase a couple of years back of creating random stuff.. that i've hardly used, but i guess they just get lost in the ether. I defo need to try a Johnny Cash livery at some point
Maybe you did some decals or livery with white/black squares ska motives? I do really like this band, and couldnt find any...

After a few months break I got slowly roped back into daily races.

Although I enjoy Nordschleife a lot, I rarely participated in daily races featuring it, thinking it's too hard. But this week I decided to finally give it a proper go.

Unlike many, I really enjoy the car. While it is indeed a bit twitchy, setting sensitivity to -2 and BB to -3 fixes most of problems to me. It feels a little bit like driving on a tarmac track in Dirt Rally somehow, with car being so drifty sometimes.

Set a time of 8:20 and started 4th two times in high DR B/low DR A lobby. Did too many mistakes on the first try and finished 6th, was going 3d for most of the second go but failed to brake properly after Döttinger Höhe and dropped to 4th. Decent results knowing how bad I'm at the second part of the track. Need to improve my time to keep up with the guys starting in front - right now they are at 8:07-8:10. Hopefully I'll be able to cut my time to at least 8:15.

Race A is up amd down. I get one good clean race, then 1 with a muppet who wants to block, push or swerve anyone put of their way. SR up and down 99 to 93 to 99 to 93. I could have won last race but the person was blocking kind of legally if I thought slightly late, so tried not to really force it. Oh well. Still having fun for the most part.
Waaaaay better than driving the death rocket in FIA.

I have found that every few races there's that one car that just has to keep bumping you no matter what lol.

Which is inspired by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Clockwork_Orange_(film)

How exactly is this DR reset working? I'd like to avoid it next time. SR level needs to drop 2 steps lower than DR or more than 2? I was DR A and I think SR C when that occured.
There's two layers to it. First, your DR letter rating can't go more than two levels higher than your SR letter rating.
2nd, if your SR score drops below certain levels, your DR score is reset to certain preset levels. According to Kudos Prime:
A low SR score can limit the DR Class, and even reset the DR score to predefined values (7000 pts if SR dive below 5, 20,000 pts below 15 and 50,000 pts below 30.

And if done right, you can even taunt those behind you with anime girls. ;)

Am I doing it right?

These two are my go to. The RC F though... It's something else. Fast fast fast!

Had a nice three lap battle with the Cayman. It started ahead of me and we dispatched an RCZ(it got a penalty at The Four Brothers) on lap 1.
From there, once I got ahead at BLUE Channel hairpin, Lap 6, I bolted.

Interesting comparing tyre wear between RC F and Cayman. Lap 8, my right rear is just showing a narrow line of red. The Cayman was similar. However, I was having better drive through The Four Brothers. Probably gearing and torque. Plus, the climb up the hill, the RC F was murdering anything non-V8.

The 4C was doing 39's Lap 6-9. I was matching the C7 and 650 doing 40-41's. Cayman was stuck on 41's. Caught up to them on the last two laps.

My slowest lap was Lap 5, 42.153(got bumped a bit into the hairpin, by the Cayman). My last lap was 42.053. Consistent and stable like the GT3 car.

Done for the night.

Are you no stopping in the Mustang? I did about 10 races on C yesterday majority of them I pit lap 6 for fresh hards. It's been working out well!

Close enough 8)

Got any good DBS liveries? Only anime I know, lol.

I pit with the Mustang. Now, I was on the tail of the Cayman, but I could sense losing grip quicker than I thought. Saw my gap to 3rd was 7 seconds. Pit and exited just a whisker ahead and drove away. Gap to the Cayman stayed like that for the rest of the race.

No pit with the RC F. It goes hard.

Another thing. I keep mentioning it. The Mustang has the hardest/stiffest suspension. RC F has the best suspension. No doubt in my mind, the "springs" in the Mustang are killing the tyre wear. RC F loads perfectly in turns, change in direction and soaks up the kerbs.

Sounds like you're having better luck keeping the Mustang on the tarmac. I only ran it in one race & had 2 understeer moments during the race & finished in 8th. The Corvette was able to correct course easier if I overdrove the car. I'll likely try the 'Stang again, but I'll need some BB adjustment & practice.

In the 2 races I ran yesterday (Mustang & Corvette), I did no stop runs. Tires weren't great, but certainly not dead. Watch my video from last night & you can see that all of my race laps were over 1:41, even though my QT was 1:39.39. You should focus less on the lap times in race & focus on keeping the car on track.

I agree... I don't get all the hate for it. The vintage 911 Turbo is a blast to drive at the 'Ring, and does require some skill to get the speed up. And the sounds it makes are just sublime! The backfire on the upshifts and some throttle-offs is really nice.

I'm hoping to try a few races tonight or tomorrow after improving my QT in order to start ahead of the clowns who might ruin my lap early, before I can pull away (at least that's the plan!).

Driving the Mustang is a hassle compared to some of the others, I'll have to try out the Lexus. Good to know I'm not the only one pitting in the Mustang though everyone else seems to be going for the no stop. The guys who do, I've been able to make up the 8 second gap from pitting within a lap or two then drive away.

Some of those you picked up were from them sliding off track.

I still have to try the Viper. I've been on a Viper kick lately. But the 'Vette has already set an impressive bar in my opinion. There's a reason why I've won twice as many races in them than the Mustang. It's easier for me to wheel around & do what I want to do on the track.

There's no comparison between the Corvette and the Mustang  I'm just not joining the dark side just yet. Viper has been all over the leaderboards here lately!

Join us! :) Putting anime girls on your liveries makes your car look 600% cooler, and gives you a speed boost! You should also ask my friend Gears (I don't know his GTP name) about Nene (not pictured below). He will introduce you to the Nene Lovers Club, and before you know it, you'll be putting her character decals all over your car. :)

Don't know about getting a speed boost, but it certainly can have some wonder at ones sanity when they see them in game.
