I tried it, but it didn't look that good.
But related:

There was an attempt. :(
Havnt been into any anime in a bout 15 years, but this is friggin cool :)

Robotech FTW

Surprised at Gardens II, a LOT of different cars in the mix. Tried the M4, WRX and the mazda, so far the M4 feels really good to drive with the Mazda under powered and too much understeer on the rex.

So you only lose 7 to 8 seconds pitting? Hmmmmmmmm. I qualied with a 39.6 which felt fast, can lap in the 41's in the race and I agree with those above that said the M4 seems kind on the tyres and I am REALLY hard on them (D-pad user).

So if you lose say 8 seconds, you need to be lapping a solid 2 seconds a lap faster for those last 4 laps. I'm not sold it is doable or worth the risk.

Related to the above, I found I get mugged in the first few laps, guys climbing all over me. Have no pace at all in a pack but when left alone I lap quicker than them.

Penalty system REALLY annoyed me last night, I was in third, 2.5 seconds off the lead with 4th 10 seconds back. The gap started at about 6 seconds on lap 3 and by lap 10 had closed to 1.5 seconds from 1st to 2nd and 1 second from 2nd to me. We were inching towards an epic finish. Guy in front got a bit sideways mid corner and I EVER so slightly nudged him, barely noticeable, copped 12 second for my troubles! Like come on, even he was peeved post race as he was expecting an epic fight that vanished.

What its all about anime girls livery fashion?

Meh, I prefer to see them over the millionth Red Bull or Gulf livery. Apart from liveries on bright neon-colored backgrounds with 100 girls plastered over them, there are plenty of well-designed ones out there but like anything, if the subject area doesn't interest you, chances are, the liveries won't either.

I take my comments back about the Porsche. I spent more time with it yesterday and apart from a few Initial D-esque moments downhill, I hit a 8:13. It requires a lot of self-discipline but once it clicks, it's very rewarding.

I've only been 1 stopping in the Mustang other cars it's unnecessary. However, they don't know that so people will pit with you... kinda just follow the leader. My average lap time is 1:40 flat with early lap in the 1:39s

The M4 & Atenza definitely no stoppers.

My worst race in a long time..
After 2 good races in the Green Hell I thought I would try out race C.
With no time to spare I jumped in the Cayman to try that (what's up with the vacuum cleaner engine sound? Why didn't they use the flat.six model) and was seconds slower than my other times.
But the race was on. I was p13.
The last two players had names that suggested that they would punt you if you didn't behave. And was no-qual.

At the chicane I come up behind one of those as he tangles with another car and they slow down mit Chicane.
I had no where to go so inspite of braking I hit him.
I slowed down to show it wasn't on purpose, yet he still slowed down after the chicane so I had to pass.
After a lap of interesting lines to avoid getting punterino'ed he passed me with no harm.
So I carried on behind.
Then my daughter comes in and starts shouting about more chlorine in the pool water and then starts a fight with another of my kids right behind me. It turns into a dance and by this time I am in the Armco after the right hander pass the three brothers.
No focus and it went downhill from then on...
I finished DFL with a gap of 14 seconds....

On another note: I solemnly swear never to drive, make or like an Anime livery.

There's no comparison between the Corvette and the Mustang  I'm just not joining the dark side just yet. Viper has been all over the leaderboards here lately!

The Viper drives similarly to the Mustang, but its reflexes are a little quicker. It's as if PD modeled the Mustangs with an oil tanker under the hood. Too much weight up front. This is why I would have to alter the BB. FR Gr. 4 cars also don't seem to have the loose rear end feel of the same Gr. 3 car. The rear end is actually planted. I saw @Groundfish once state exactly what many had to learn through trial & error: FR Gr. 4 cars need some rear end rotation. As you can see in the video I posted last night, I changed the BB to -1 in order to help the 'Vette turn & try to extend the life of the front tires so I didn't need a pit stop.

That engine sound is the worst thing about being a Porsche driver in the Manufacturers Series for sure. I must get used to it, but when I jump out of it and into something else again for a while, when I race it again, it is awful.

I don't know if real ones sound like that, but it's not inspiring at all. The 911 RSR is a little better, but the Cayman is pretty horrible in that regard.

If I’m unsure what gr4 to use Mustang is generally a great choice. Last time I used it Viper was nice handling but not quite as fast. The gr4 vette has always seemed quite lackluster to me. The merc gr4 used to be much stronger.
Anymore tho since learning to drive ff better I default to those because faster.
I tend to like the fr because they like slow smooth inputs.
The Megane is my favorite ff by far. It’s a big weapon.
I leave bb alone for the most part.

I was thinking that for Race A, the ideal settings would be TCS 0 and BB +5. Right? And then for Race B, it'd be TCS 0 (or maybe 1) with BB -5. Either way, I usually put TCS to 1 for grid starts, and then once I get moving, I immediately turn TCS back to 0 for most road cars.

The guy in your avatar pic would of course agree that the Megane is the best. (I assume you are talking about the standard FF Megane Gr4 car, and not the Trophy, which is MR in a FF body... I think that 'standard' Megane gets overlooked a bit...)

Yep. Trophy can be good at Brands, and certain others in fuel tire saving racing.
The REAL Megane is the ticket! Lightning fast, great brakes, loves tight lines...Took me a looong time to stop hating ff but when I did it brought me some of my few wins. I prefer the slow smooth inputs are fast driving but sometimes in sport others will attack...

The original gts opening movie was the bomb. The second one with the pirate music grates on me. It’s gettin turned off.
I guess I will slog around Gardens reverse a few times to remember why I don’t do well with it...

I can't get the FF cars to turn at all. They feel like dump trucks & I'll take the Mustang any day of the week over any FF. The Corvette may be lackluster, but it can be very consistent.

I've only done it once, but it was for a friend.

You can make just about anything look good. The subject matter of the decals don't mean a lot to me. Each are just small components of the entire piece of art that you can turn the car into..
Much classier than any of my cheesy efforts. 👍

The trick with FF is to realise that steering and power are incompatible. You have to finish one before starting the other. It's almost like trail braking in reverse....

Was having fun with the Mitsubishi last night. No real issues with the tires other than (i) need to brake early for the first run through 4 corners, and (ii) front left finally showing a bit more than the others lap 11-12.

Have found that I prefer the lighter weight cars when tire wear is an issue. Probably too heavy with my steering inputs, and the lower weight helps me avoid melting tires/wearing out the fronts.

Those are fast laps given your qualy time, I am struggling to get below 41 with a 39.6 qualy lap. In saying that, both times I have been behind 'Stangs and they either pit or really suffer on the last few laps.

This is a surprisingly good race, guys can be strong or can fade the last 3 laps.

My kids tell me there is a big difference between anime and western cartoon/drawings from before the 1990-2000's but it has lessened after "all your base are belong to us".
So, no violation. Bibendum is not anime
Edit: I am a big fan of Studio Ghibli. Won't plaster it on the cars.

So what would you advise for TCS/BB regarding races A and B this week?
B I am TCS 0, BB -5 ( all to front)

It’s cool man, we’ve all been there...Sometimes a grenade needs to be jumped on :).

After doing a qual session just now on THIS race me too. :)
Merc Moostang vette would be my choices. Sadly this track doesn’t suit me any better than the minis on A.
Might try B this week...
I was having lots of trouble locking the brakes on all cars on c qual. Really weird. A race the cars didn’t feel good to me either. Just not feeling it today I guess.
