The most intense and the longest duel I've got so far in GTS, many laps of close and fairplay racing, side be side, changing positions, between me in Mclaren and a Spaniard in Renault, low DR A. Kudos to this guy! I've lost eventually 1,5 sec. to him, but it was a great pleasure nevertheless.

Tries to watch but the music is just brutal. First thing I do in any game of any kind is shut down the music.

I call that section of DTG the Four Lokos. Gotta pace yourself on the Lokos or they’ll **** you up!

Probably just a joke for the Americans of a certain age.
That section does need a good name. I've thought of it as the "4 SOB's" but maybe a more acceptable name is "The Quad"... four apexes, that thumping concert music you hear when you drive through it, the fact it's at the center of the 'campus' at DTG/DTS, kind of a community sounding term.

Someone earlier (I think @05XR8 ) named them the 4 brothers before because if you screw 1 the others will make you pay.

Tried 2 more Race A. Pretty clean, but noticeably more careless and aggressive than in the morning-afternoon. I didn't have any issues but saw others that were fighting.

Down to 91 SR after those two races. I don't think I even scratched paint. Paint on that Mini must be expensive.

a no-brainer-shut it down-how unrealistic is that when you have such great sounding cars? i reckon a lot of the "assertive" driving is relatable to the music playing....120BPM+ creates adrenaline-just a theory though......

Anyone know the total for a CRB on gardens? Dont think I can really be hassled trying to dig my SR up running race A for a hopeful 6 points a clip. And losing if there is the slightest bump.

Unless your SR is below 50, you're looking at 10 points per CRB on race C. Good luck, I've had issues with excessive zeal by some drivers in that race in Asia. Much cleaner in Americas region.

I rarely get hung over, but those things ****ed me up.

I've finally returned to S-rated SR, and it can get pretty intense at Gardens II. I've had a handful of races where at least half of the race is fairly tightly packed. It's not uncommon to go three-wide up to the chicane, with cars directly in front or behind on top of that. It's been fairly respectful, but I have seen (and been on the receiving end of) some particularly dirty moves, including frustration-induced intentional pit maneuvers. The most common form of aggression I see involves someone being just a bit too impatient on parts of the circuit that aren't great for passing. I think there are plenty of good places to overtake; the entire inside section leading up to the hairpin is not one of them. I think it's the trickiest section consistency-wise, and if the driver behind thinks you're slow they just go for it. But it's so difficult to make a pass in that section without contact, and that contact usually results in one car losing all their momentum. It's frustrating when people brute-force their way up the inside on Lap 1 because they have a slight run on you. I only go for a pass in that section if someone is very slow and well off the line, and usually off the racing surface altogether.

Dont have a Q time so can pick something dog slow and stable and just toddle around. I still can't figure out the track that well but will give it a shot.

The Okayron(changed the name from OyVeyron, as it was awesome at Maggiore Nations). I feel like trying it at this track, but I'm just a bit over A/S and ain't messing that up before tomorrow's FIA races.

I've been using the Lambo in Race C. Mainly because it is my Manufacturers car and I am used to it. But hasn't let me down. Run about 6 races (I don't get a lot of time for racing unfortunately), but with a win, a 2nd and the others all in top 4. Admittedly running in B/S around 20k DR. Just feels better for me than the other cars I've tried. Only seen one Veyron in my races, and they only finished a couple behind me from memory in about 6th.

Morning! I tried the Race C fifth time today.
QT 1.39.something with the 458 but like to race the wrx, i have a blobeye as a daily driver.:)
Wrx is really stable and easy on the tires.
B/S field with a couple C/S pilots.
Started 11th, up to 9th, had to punish a dirty idiot who tried to spin me out while i was passing him, down to p15, got on the throttle flat out and finished 8th clean. Consistent 1.41.xxx laps. Last 4 laps clean battle with a m4 which i passed last lap coz he missed racing line with worn tires and got a 0.5s penalty.
Next week i'll hit hard on gr4 Laguna Seca! (if it is not a ff fest) :D

If you don't mind MR drive train, I think the 4C is pretty slow at this track.
Two corrections. I withdraw my recommendation for the 4C. It's slow, but the rear gets really sketchy after about 8 laps. Times don't drop much but driving it becomes a real challenge.
Second, just got 17 points for a CRB, 81 > 98 (in the 4C).

Now we are talking. Just check and I had nursed it back to 58 with a few race As last night so if I can keep a solid CRB I can do it in 3 races. Then annoy someone in race A by being mid pack with a bunch of A drivers while having a DR C penalty armor on to protect me from penalties.

Got my count wrong. Would be 2 races. Yes!

What car did you get that killer time in?

Which car did you get your fastest QT in?

31 times in a row? Considering the chatter after DRWF, I'm shocked that you can go without contact. I guess we should feel honored to get the chrome horn.
That's all WRX right there bro.

@The_Tullster you were right about race C. Especially on friday. I am having to simply coast half a lap to avoid absolutely terrible drivers. And when they wreck the people ahead are so slow we are getting caught and I have to pull over. Got rear ended by one person losing it and cut a corner to avoid a non ghosted spinner. Definitely going to be 3 races it looks like.

These people are plain crazy down here.

Keep at it. I've had managably clean races and total train wrecks. If you hit a cleaner group CRB shouldn't be an issue with that approach.
Best one I had was with a slowish Q time, got me on the grid ahead of the disastrously slow and behind the fast drivers, you can see my Q in game. Managed to sit safely in a gap in the field for most of the race to get the CRB.

Just got CRB to get to SR S
Going to.gamble on a race A. Then go back, finish up with race C for the night and try a livery

Well Race A was ram fest central yesterday, it was a real OUCH! to see my SR go from 57 points to 1.

I was a little tired, I got sandwiched a few times but I guess that was just the night racing in Sport, I couldn't hold the Mini together despite using the same setting I raced with on Tuesday so welcome back DR D and SR E rank!!! :banghead:

Shall probably not bother again this week, got things on tomorrow and Sunday I am planning to play some other games.

Perhaps if I can improve my time with the Mini again might have another go or do something else but I shall see!

I was afraid of that. I was going to try a day of AWD cars, but I started with the GT-R. It was a dog in the turns.

In other another race:

I was able to recover with a 5th place.

What I really want to know is how did this Gr. 4 car get tire stickers?

I should learn. But I am stupid. Went with a couple of race A. Got to 98 SR. Then I ran 2 races with am utterly filthy driver, but was still 94 SR. When an Aussie with the Senna name in his screen name showed up. Punted at druids, tapped at Graham Hill and pushed wide at the final turn. Then I get out of the way. They lose it on paddock hill, come across sideways but of course dont ghost. I swerve but still catch them. They straighten up but then plow me off following into Hill again.

I end the race p3 after winning, but getting a penalty as the driver who inherited the lead brake checked me into the final turn to give me a loss. I mean really brake checked, no A driver brakes before the second turn in that left right setup. Afterwards the Aussie tried to blame it on the 'dirty Japanese'. Sorry moron, this one is all on you, and me for not quitting earlier and avoiding ever meeting you. Sown to SR A. Again.

I am a moron.:banghead::dunce::banghead::dunce:

After being on the verge for some time I finally got into DR A territory!

Don't think it will be for long, but still happy.

On another note - Daily race A is really fun! Very close racing and constant battles for positions.

Got on podium 2 times. First one started on P5 but dropped to 7th. Was able to reach fourth and finished right after the driver with 2s penalty.
Another time I was going 4th most of the race, following the group of 3 cars in 0.5s-1.0s distance. Was able to catch up and gained one position in the beginning of last lap. The four of us finished within half a second in the end.

It quickly deteriorates at night. The 12:30 AM race already had SR.B mixed in with SR.S in NA while it's still 9:30 PM on the west coast. So completely pointless to be in SR.S, and sure, got bumped in to SR.A. Morning is no better, just got into SR.B from a laggy blocker. So at this pace I'll be back at 1 soon again

The game is so sensitive currently to front back contact, yet getting pushed and bumped off from the side goes completely unnoticed. Now it really encourages sticking a nose in and forcing your way through or defending by pushing the car alongside off the road. The currently penalty system doesn't believe in leaving room or sharing the road.

I was back to 99 yesterday, now at 44. Which is fine, SR.S wasn't very good to race in without qualifying since matchmaking is so bad, having me start behind D/S with qualifying times over 9 minutes, and other non qualifiers running into me from behind while being careful not to touch the D/S drivers.

Only if you don't know Cockney Rhyming Slang very well and looked it up in a dictionary. And it's Dragon Trail.
