Just had a race where I was outside at druids to ensure I didnt rear end the other driver accidentally (after they pushed me wide to get position) and they swerve to the outside to punt me off . . . And i get a 4 second penalty. Most all races I had there all week were fun and clean tonight has really put a damper on it. And so far all 3 drivers are from the same place, and driving the same color mini. Wonder if that color is a warning I need to heed or something.
I've found that you have a chance on Mon and Tue but after that, there are too many idiots that have figured out how to get a respectable qualifying lap and ruin the races you have to share with them. I won't bother with Dailies after Tue most weeks anymore, especially if they are 'close combat' situations like the Race A this week... it's inevitable that you take the brunt of other's inadequacies.

One more question, i am new in gts , brake bilance how to adjust if u are driving fr,mr,4wd... ?

Thanks
The rule of thumb is brake balance needs to be as far forward as you can get away with for minimal ABS activation - the red bar on top of the white bar at maximum braking. If there's too much red, the brakes are trying to lock and the ABS is stopping them from doing so, meaning too much braking force; turn the brake balance back one click and try again.

Generally front-engined cars will need more rearward brake bias, mid-engined more neutral, and rear-engined more front.

You might also like to move brake bias to the rear by a click or two if you're doing longer races with tyre wear, as it helps with front tyre life.

I'm still feeling out the M4 in Race C but i was thinking of a change too. The Atenza, 650S, WRX and Lancer might be up next. What kind of tire wear are you racers experiencing out there?

I found 3 of the 4 just too slow and the Lancer is dog slow in a straight line so hard to race with. A LOT of folk making the mazda work though.

I surprisingly turned my fastest q lap (39 flat) in the Jag, doesn't feel that fast but it's a bulldog up hills. Cannot do consistent race laps in it though, went back to the M4 for that as I find it so much faster than anything else int he last 4 laps.

Whelp. Should have pulled what @sturk0167

Oh yeah, they got a Blue S at the end. Gooner gonna pay at some point. Apparently my next several days will amount to seal clubbing while I build up my SR. This sucks. I still dont understand how I can get punted 3 times and get penalized every time and they are clean while if I so much as brush their paint I get an SR down.

I will now be sulking in SR hell.

Happened to me last week. I made one or two rash moves but I was hit like 7 times. 38k to 15k. Thanks.

Did 16 races in 3 days.

Some of them were fine, and I ended up taking bronze 3 times, one time starting from P6. Others were bad, with lots of my mistakes, stupid off-track penalties right before the finish line, which sent me to lower-SR lobbies more than once. Ended up in a weird one with only one player qualification time similar to mine (others way slower). I started to get advantage right from the start. The guy who started second was dragged into the fight with others so I finished with comfortable 17s lead.

I guess it's fitting I got a 13th victory in Green Hell.
Most of races were rather lonely, unfortunately - all overtakes were results of either my mistake or someone else's. Now to race A or C, hopefully it will be more crowded. I miss Races С when they had pitstops.

I really enjoy it. Less car variety (WRC Juinor, WRC2, and WRC, plus a couple classic cars), but there are 14 rallies based on the actual WRC calendar. It's hard to articulate the nuances between the handling models of the two games, but I don't feel like one is necessarily harder/easier, or more or less realistic than the other. The career mode is pretty cool. It's definitely worth it for the variety in rallies alone.

I watched JIMMY Broadbent review it he concurred it was great.
I’ve raced you before in sport mode, nice fast clean driving!
Cheers

Just did a race by accident. Thought I was practicing. Then.. "Joining Session" pops up... oh crap.

I was very nervous starting with hardly any warm up. Thankfully, I am so much better at turning TCS on before the start than I was before. I had a good start and settled in quick. Started 5th. Finished 6th. + a few DR. Clean race streak at 5. :D

Qyn
Man I don't EVEN know! Must've shot a lightning bolt outta LghtgMcQyn's butt 💡.

What car did you get that killer time in?

It gets easier when u find the rhythm, particularly @ the four brothers, and that last sector,,

and FF munchs the front tires , I’m always happy seeing them ahead of me because one way or another i know I’ll get them

Which car did you get your fastest QT in?

You're just surprised that I made it through an entire race without ramming anybody

31 times in a row? Considering the chatter after DRWF, I'm shocked that you can go without contact. I guess we should feel honored to get the chrome horn.

First time playing GT Sport again in four months; rusty as hell, but somehow I was compelled to choose the Green Hell Race B as my very first race...with only five minutes of practice behind the wheel of the 911.

Started 9th, finished 7th; I consider that a victory for my first race back after so many months without practice. Races on the Nurb are always a fun pace and consistency test. Don't know if I'm gonna take a crack at Race C or not; the Gardens layout isn't a keen one of my knowledge, especially in Gr.4 cars.

Take me down to the paradise city

Oh won’t you please, Take me home! :)

Edit: On that note, if you ever got to drive this Porsche on the Ring for real, which 8 Track/Cassette are you popping into the deck for your cruise? I can’t decide between these two...

Whelp. Should have pulled what @sturk0167 did and quit a race tonight. Dirty driver pushed me into the sand turn 1 at race A. I save it but get SR down. Get rear ended into druids. SR down again. Phantom contact penalty while running down to Graham Hill for a 2 seconds and then rear ended at the final turn for another SR down.

That was only lap 1. Stupid me engaged said driver. Did 1 clean pass and got side swiped for another SR down so just was determined to beat them. Bad idea.

Started the race at 39.4KDR and 93 SR. Ended at 7K DR and 13 SR. A record as far as my record is concerned.

I’ve noticed at times the system can sort of lock in on you like a tractor beam.
At these times it’s like anything you do is wrong :(

I think it's pretty obvious that Jan & Dean somehow got an advanced copy of this game back in 1963.
I can easily think of at least a dozen turns in the game that fit the description. The first one that comes to mind is the final turn at Big Willow.

Agree with the engine soundtrack being all that is needed (and helpful too); however, if augmentation is required then there is really only one choice given the era/track/car combo...

For a full run, start Major Tom during the practice session/pre-race lobby and use the other two to fill out the playlist to get you through a full lap.

I finally did it, back to 99 SR on the Nord without qualifying after numerous DR resets early in the week.

SR.C is still a better place to race from the back, matchmaking is generally awful in SR.S but nice to be back for a bit.
(It won't last when I resume racing at 8pm, dirtiest time of the day but whatever)

As a comparison, here the highlights on an SR.S race from the back

Compared to the one I posted earlier, mixed SR.C/SR.B race.

I see myself in that first video. :D
Some incidents from back in the pack allowed for easy position changes, so that was a nice clean finish for me...

...of course after that race, it's only been downhill from there. The race after that one? 1 SR Down. And the next? 2 SR Down. And the next one? 3 SR Down and back to SR A! I need to maintain my patience and remember what the car/course combo is here so that I can safely overtake instead of infighting with fishtailers. Nothing but up from hereon out! Hopefully...

I just did a little math, and calculated that my alt account has 45% more pole positions than wins. :odd:
For this, I'd like to thank Anheuser Busch & Coors Brewing Company. 👍
Hmm, I think there’s something to that. I’d have to thank my “sponsor” Mr Daniels if my stats bear out the same!

The most intense and the longest duel I've got so far in GTS, many laps of close and fairplay racing, side be side, changing positions, between me in Mclaren and a Spaniard in Renault, low DR A. Kudos to this guy! I've lost eventually 1,5 sec. to him, but it was a great pleasure nevertheless.

Here's a beauty of a first lap. Starting in reverse.... ehh whatever. It happens once in a while.
But at the final turn, what the hell could I do?

The next 5 were better. I got 3rd.

What a save by the Argentinian at the end. I think I raced that driver this morning. Tried to pass me 3 times at Druids, first 2 times I guarded the inside, the third time I left a car width and they passed me clean. If I remember correctly, the only reason I was in front is because that driver missed the start and I went around.

You ever seen one of those videos where someone goes speeding past an unmarked police car, and then immediately gets lit up? Well, this is sort of like that. Some clown made the mistake of punting a dear friend of mine, right in front of me (I know it was intentional because he was cursing at him before the race started). Well, at that point my race was over because I just saw red!
I was happy to take that penalty. 👍

Not @BenRod noooooo!

Ugh starting to miss low SR already, dealing with the usual bad matchmaking and entitlement in SR.S. "I'm in front, it's my choice to cut you off and force you into the grass" lol. Oh well, better races are only a couple punts away :mischievous::ouch:

Bums me out that I can't match my pace with the TT using any of the FR/MR cars. The 1000lbs weight advantage and Meta HP/LB ratio is just too much for any of the others to overcome. Pit stop at the end of Lap 7 only cost me 1 spot. Finished 4th - would have probably been 5th if Darkside's Ferrari had a bit more grip through the 4 corners on Lap 10.
