Bathurst is probably my worst track... solid 2.14 with chances to high 2.13 but nothing more - on top of that I did 2 races with the M4 and they were really horrible - the result is - 2K DR - was 41K in the start of the week, now I'm at 35K... really don't know when this ****** luck is going to end - the worst thing is in 80% of the cases it is all my fault.

On top of that the M4 gets obliterated by almost every single other car on the straight of Bathurst, not to mention that its majesty the MEGANE seems to be back in the game...almost every person plays AWD or FF now and as a FR/MR fan my chance of spinning and losing the race are bigger than every other person out there ...

Will give GR2 Suzuka a try and if I fail there again - it is time to get a couple of days rest from the game

I just did a quick race at Bathurst and almost every other car was a Megane. They do seem to lose some pace towards the end of their stints though and I managed to overtake a few and captured 4th in the Corvette.

Suzuka is a gruelling grind for us low B, C drivers. Exhausting endless turns that you (I) never feel in control of; inches of grass causing 1080 spins; and inconsistent lap times leading to last places.

I think you have to be good to enjoy this track.
No offense but im an A/S and I cant wait to get off work today to try the gr2 at suzuka. I love racing when the bigger the risk, the greater reward.

As a crappy BS driver (I still like the double meaning of that), I enjoy the fact that while my speed on this track isn't great at all, you can always make up positions by overtaking people running wide in Spoon Corner, 130R and most of all, the Degner curves.

4 clean races on the Gr.2 Suzuka daily... 5th time was unfortunately not the charm as I get rammed by another GT-R into the grass at the end of the Spoon corner. And I couldn't cross the finish line in time because of them. :grumpy:

But I'm still stoked that we finally got a Gr.2 daily after all this time. I love this class to bits!

Half the battle at Suzuka is keeping yourself on the track. I run 2.00-2.02 lap times (GR 3) there and am a B/S driver. That being said, I usually start in the teens but always end up in a single digit finish

Well not totally surprising. In the real world AWD are particularly strong across the top of the mountain.

Manage to 1:50:462 that was tiring. One problem already solved another problem just come in for now 3 bar signal supposed to be good but in reality just get kicked 2 times, DR and SR lost too ah.. love hate situation is real right now too much point lost cause lag and data loss.

They envy of all of us who have jobs are those who stay on GT all day.

Suzuki has been my best track when you exclude Interlagos. I am very much looking forward to this race. In brief testing at Lagos, I found the Lexus to be the fastest, but it sounds like the Lexus is disadvantaged at Suzuka.

What does the top ten look like in terms of manufacturers?

Had to take my car in for airbag recall. I swear the courtesy bus driver was Inri in disguise .

Anyways... Suzuka. Qualified P6 with the GT-R. The red R, a symbol of invincibility! Not :p! All during the race I was struggling with understeer that wasn't present during qualifying. I gained a few positions, then lost positions fighting the understeer. I seemed to gain most of my catchup time getting through the chicane faster than every one else. Sadly that also cause me to loose some SR in contact because I didn't slow down to the less than half speed the car in front was doing entering. Happened again 2 laps later but no penalty, although there should have been.

Coming out of the first turn after the esses, again with the understeer and into the sand. Just as I saw my salvation, a small strip of tarmac running across the grass. Great! Now I can get back onto the track with a few seconds loss. Or so I thought :odd:. As soon as I got onto that strip of tarmac, I spun.... 3 times! Managed finish P7, but should have been P8.

BS is funny, but mine is not. It feels odd to say I’m SS, you know?

Aaaargh, Suzuka with GR2 .. and I’m not with my PS4 until Monday night ...
Sooo jealous.

Anyone have a replay to share??

Well the mornings race wins a distant memory, total carnage on Race C. Started B/S finished D/E I guess the weekends started early, the race was full of rammers a lot of whom were fellow Brits!! Got no more S/R to lose down from 40 to 1 manner point so might as well have another pop the worst of it was I started on pole. Next race has a nice field of D/E racers even got someone rated E/D!!!
Second try started 2nd on the grid was another dirty race, so i just did 2 laps before pitting to limit the penalties, brimmed the tank and fuel saved a little to make it to the end. Seemed a good strategy as i was out of sync with most cars for a good few laps, I dropped to 13th after pitting but finished 5th.
Nearly time for round 3, this time i have got a field of mainly C/Ds and 8 D/Ds myself included.
Well after those 2 slightly cleaner races back at 25 manner points and C S/R, just 9000 to claw back now i got 583 points for a 5th and an 8th so could take along time.
Heading back to race A for a bit, my 2.46.044 is good enough for second just hope turn 1 treats me good, its pretty much luck with all the ramming where you will emerge after the 2nd corner. A hollow victory but even still that makes victory 99 and my second on race A today, still lost some safety points however due to the ramming at turn 1. Went in first came out 4th.

Just finished Bathurst. I think the t and the s need to be swapped. My post race comment pretty much sums it up... "Better send a meat truck".

I managed to snag P2 in qualifying, much to my surprise, but that was short lived. All DR/Ds except for some lost soul who must have done something terribly wrong in a former life... he/she was DR/A.

Got bashed around by drivers who didn't have the patience to wait for proper passes, and just pushed their way through. I was shunted, rear ended, side swiped, spun, and generally used as a punching bag by all and sundry. The Viper got an extra lap over everyone else before I needed to pit, so for a brief period I was back up to 2nd. Then I pitted. Came out on track 7th. I caught up to the mayhem and made it to 5th. I had a guy banging me up the rear over and over again, till he spun out. Made most of my passes on Conrod and Mountain straits, and I seemed to be pretty quick across the top of the mountain. I was carrying a 1s penalty for most of the race. Crossed the line 4th, and if I had just managed to nail that final corner I would have been more than a second ahead of 5th. Finished 5th. Had hoped to finish 2nd, but 5th is better than a kick in the teeth. At least I didn't loose any more SR than I had from Race B. :scared:

One more day above 1 DR! :dopey:

Improve your driving skills then perhaps ...just a thought - a lot of people in the same groups I'm in can't drive either. Learn to drive straight lines coasting corners braking adequately before the corner and not overcooking it getting on the gas or trying to pull a second back in low traction areas...just a few thoughts going on your comments. GR 2 and 1 cars are easier to drive on Suzuka than GR3 and below

wow the NSX is twitchy. Managed a 51.3 since I got some big errors in the laps I could do before matchmaking :ouch: Race lost me 1.2k DR although I went up from P14 to P12.
Now in the GTR, 49.8 with an opt of 49.5. Let‘s see how this goes, it drives heaps better 👍

EDIT: went terrible, qualified P5 and finished P13...

You don't seem to be the first one that ends up worse in race than in Q with gt-r.
Anyone else getting this?

Those who really want enjoyable racing in GTS should be patience and make through to AS and SS, I made it to mid SS and now enjoying very much of racing with fair races. Ofcourse mistakes happens all of us but mostly fast and fair. Only skills matter and wins are rae but I'm happy now:tup:

Unfortunately not everyone can make it to high ratings as everyone is on a different skill level and also the fact there would be no point having ratings if everyone could get to the higher ones, the fact is there are still too many idiots who will happily wreck your race and its all to easy to lose rank and so hard to race clean when your matched with these people.
