I really dont get sometimes the thinking of some drivers.

Today with the Audi e-tron I made a mistake in a corner and landed up in 7th Position I think. The greek guy in front of me was slower and he defended well, but I managed to overtake. In the middle I made my stop. He was around 3 or 4 secs behind I think. He didnt stop and so he was over 3 secs in front of me. Because his tyres were really down I managed to reach him already in my outlap. But I waited cause I thaught he will pit. But he didnt. So I needed to overtake, because I was 3 or 4 secs faster. But now he started to defend unfairly and ramed me even I was in front. What does somone think in this moment? There were still 5 laps to go and his audi must already have been undrivable with unchanged tyres.

I passed anyway and many others after me, too.

Today is Q time only. No race.:D
So you´re not racing today... just trying the car for a few laps... and getting used to it! ...:rolleyes::rolleyes::p:p:p

send help

lol!!!

Cipher... Thanks for accepting my Friendship request.. from my Hong Kong account (Zeftheman) !!!!

I´ve been trying the Asian Area Online races (3 days only online)... and so far with a total of only 3 to 4 hours the maximum. spent there...(a bit less more then 1 hour per day), and I´ve seen that the racers are much more correct than those on the European region!! They race almost as it was expected for someone expecting to find a true car racing simulation!!!

Given this... only with those 3 to 4 hours.. I´m already SR S and DR C (mid way to B)!! And only with basic Daily races (no FIA Races)!!

I´m getting fond on this Asian and Australian Area races! :)

woa maybe we will meet once if you get into BS :D

Big fan of the Megane. A beautiful looking machine, great to drive and fast enough to floor a Bugatti, Lambo, 458, Viper... in fact anything. This is wholly accurate.

I feel ill :yuck:.

Well I took on my local event. I had never considered the Veyron as a viable car in *any* race. The production version whilst fast on the straits was a lumbering, under steering pile of whatsit. Since a couple of people here had given it mention, and it's a car I don't think I've ever seen show up in any of my races, I gave it a go.

I wasn't driving it at it's best by any stretch, but I managed to keep it on the track during qualifying and was surprised that it was able to turn tightly enough to fit through the esses and dipper. Qualified P5.

The race was not like qualifying. The brakes were no where near as sharp, so keeping it together was a struggle. I screwed up a number of times, so dropped from P3 to P7. Somehow I managed to get back up to P5 where I finished. Was a bit bumpy, But somehow I managed to not drop any Sr. Still chasing that last point! Dr went up to the highest it's ever been and another finish like that and I'm in serious danger of loosing my Dr/D status .

Another day above Dr 1! :D

@Mirror_man Oh, you are racing in Asia nowadays! Maybe we will meet each other on track some day. I met Alpha once though we were not raced at the same level.:D

How many of you test race c? I can’t get it below 1:22.5xx. Any tips?

I forgot to quote the post from @ASH32 and don't know how to add it now
The race is definitely a different game in terms of lap time, And I prefer to be consistent and look after tyres / fuel rather than go flat out.
My best lap during the race was generally a 49 with a best of a 49.3
Interesting about dirty air, I started on pole in my races so never felt the effect but would be pretty cool if it was actually the case

It´s a good way to try other cars and races.. and I´ve discovered (at least at the hours that i´m racing... close between 0 and 2 AM GT.. that racers are much more correct !!

I´m thinking in taking a peek at the American Area too... just simple curiosity... (USA Account). and discover if my "fellow/brothers" Brazilians are such a bad racers like USA and Canadian guys keep saying... at least to see if they are worst or not... then the Spanish here.. in Europe...

:bowdown::bowdown: Always start on pole means no effect on dirty air but beware of dirty P2, P3 and so on.:D

Good man, that’s an ethos I respect

Don't get me wrong, I have a second account. But the intention isn't to dominate the lower ranks. I'm trying to get it up there to the same rank as I am now so I can use it as a practice account/maybe permanent if I find the racing more clean in the EU vs Americas.

I still keep a list of all my wins on that second account, but they don't feel the same to me. A win is a win, but the tougher the competition means that win becomes more sweet.

I don't remember those easy wins, but those tough wins will never fade from my memory.

I am doing the same with my account in EU.

Are you guys upgrading the power on these cars or something? I was reading some of comments from a couple of pages back and everyone kept saying they were getting 1:48s in the GR.2 suzuka race. Meanwhile I can barley break into a 1:50. I have to be lacking in power because im taking the corners pretty well. Are you guys S/S ranked or something? I'm A/S rank.
For qualifying, I had a 49.2 but only did a few laps and knew I had more time in the lap.

For both races I did, I was chasing NZ from 2nd. He just snuck into 49s and I had a 50.1 after pitting. Dirty air was an issue because I just had enough pace to match him but had trouble keeping close to him on the first lap. He said the same thing the one time he made a mistake and he was behind me.

I can only speak for the GT-R but around Suzuka, I drive it on the aggressive side. It's unusual for me to drive that way but it sticks well and that's how I get speed out of it.

PS: Pace-wise, I'm low to mid S/S level.

The same thing happened on Suzuka. In one of my races I had been bumped off earlier to the back field. I catch up to one guy and while I'm clearly faster coming from way back, he starts defending like crazy. I initiate a few passes on him, yet each time he bullies and blocks me into conceding or taking a penalty. This goes on for nearly 3 laps while more traffic builds up behind us until he over drives so much he ends up spinning out. As a result he lost many more positions instead of simply letting me over take on one my pass attempt and draft me for as long as possible.

This is what I do when a clearly faster driver catches back up and has the respect to wait for a good place to pass.

I signal and slow down, he passes and signals a thank you back, then I get a nice draft boost to make sure my lead to 3rd remains solid. It's lap 4, no point in blocking him.

He got behind cause of this fun start, T1 fun

That's also why I never follow that close in T1, simply too risky.

Why do you indicate to the right tho?

I‘m always confused when people use it that way as the indicator is usually used to show others where your car is going and not where theirs is supposed to..
On a street maybe, but there aren't exactly multiple ways we can go when we're all on the same track. As far as I know, people signal on the left/right means that is where you want them to overtake you.

My experience is the exact opposite

Because they are idiots (to put it nicely), I've giving up trying to work some of them out. These guys are so desperate to keep every car behind them that they'll try anything, even sometimes taking themselves out in the process, to achieve it. I've even had one ram me whilst I left the pits then weave and block the entire lap to stop me passing, only to then pit themselves anyway. How that person thought that would help them beat me I don't know but it likely cost them places to others due to how slow they were going and afterwards I still had a decent lead and won anyway whilst they finished in the bottom half of the pack.

It's one of those things that throws me off because I'm unsure whether a driver is using them the way I think they are. Had that happen in an FIA race recently although in that case, I didn't see it until it was too late.

Currently running a Gr2 lobby called "Gr2 championship" if anyone fancies joining us. It's a race fair or get locked lobby, 5 lap races initially, if anyone fancies an alternative from today's daily races :D

Car was fixed settings (inc. power and weight)... only variable is driver ;)

You say 'im taking the corners pretty well'... the video below should give you an idea of how far off the car's potential you were in reality...

Ok well im not a slow racer but I do see in that video where im off at. I was just wondering about the power. Thanks.

sometime I forget how icy grass on GT Sport  too edge I spun out and who gives the idea 5 sec penalty for hitting 1st turn wall cause spin, duh. Getting used with E-Tron handling but still not used with brake noise.

Well at least can snatch 1 win today :D
