It’s sad that PD obviously didn’t take in account the human nature of being selfish and egoistic while introducing their Dr System, which is a perfect motivation per se, as long as being played by people with integrity and an honorable attitude.

Whilst it often doesn't work as intended because SR is part of the equation, I think the point of DR is to separate people out into similar skill levels for race matching. People are using it as part of a game. The point of a game is to win and get the highest score.

Like I said the intention to motivate people with Dr to, how you describe it match people by similar skill level, is a very smart move but it sadly is misunderstood by many people or abused by some to artificially boost their rank and therefore causing havoc and mayhem.
You say that the point of a game is to win and get the highest score ,which is one thing,but you may not forget the most important thing. And that’s the fun factor. Everyone defines fun different, so that’s relative. I can only speak for me, and for me it’s no fun to share track with people playing only because of win and points. I play for fun and respect and don’t care about my ratings. If I win or loose is secondary to me, I don’t Play because of profiling myself. I don’t smug myself how fast I am or am not and I don’t care if my opponent is a dr.e or a dr.s, same respect for all. That’s my fun, yes :)

Yeh, like I said, those who are trying to raise their DR are misinterpreting the DR system as a goal in a game rather than a tool to fairly match you with people you can have close racing with. I run down the bottom of the field, and occasionally manage to get higher up. I've had a lot more fun fighting for position between 13th and 14th and just doing laps by myself in 3rd.
 
Finally I got the 15-clean races-success with my third account !! :cheers:

Puh it was so hard to drive all the races behind the field :lol:

I know only one driver who got this throphy with normal racing (he's an alien), do you know anybody?

I got it with normal racing. In about 9 of those races, I started 2nd-5th, and in the others I started on pole, but even when on pole I was still haven't to fight to win cleanly

I tried it with my main account before also but after 6 races it broke.
 
Did one race at Monza Gr.3 tonight and I did the most spectacular race and I got my 10th Win ! :cheers:
But the best part is HOW that happened !
I started 6th on the grid.
Watch this short video of the START !! . I'm in the EccoBoost Mustang (All drivers that placed 1 - 9 was in Mustangs)

I shouldn't be surprised at all by that but, wow. Part the sea of cars and let my Mustang go. :lol:

Was I imagining it, or despite those offs they didn't have any penalties? When I do a reasonable lap, my lines are similar, only ... slower :lol:. You did well not to run up the rear of those two, they were clearly slower. I would have braked too late and hit one of them. The start seems typical of Suzuka depending on where you start. Kinda sucks to be out run by people behind you on the grid before the first corner. :odd:

Haha, that's awesome. They all tried to brake at the same distance and you Mr. Magooed your way up the inside.
 
Had an incredibly intense and clean race with the two drivers starting immediately ahead of and behind me. Ended with a close and frantic finish, but all stayed clean between the three of us and I had such a huge smile afterward. :D

 
Today I learned to drive the Mustang. I had never touched that one before. Despite getting punted down to SR.A twice I managed to conquer Monza once again, ending with solid 99 SR, 6 wins of which 2 triple star wins, and the next milestone reached:

9 laps was more than enough to let the aggressive drivers play themselves out and wait for my chance to take the lead or at least climb back up to 2nd or 3rd after getting punted in T1. From what I observed, often if not always, those that charge full speed into T1 never finish the race...

I don't mind the S/S drivers staying away from Mona, my chance to shine :) It even made my DR go up from 38k to 44k. Plenty fun battles to be had as well, just not in lap 1.

Thanks. Bet the number of DRB drivers has gone up since the new penalty system. Without doubt there are many A level drivers keeping themselves at B

Maybe PDs intention with the new penalty system was to drag people away from DR obsession? With resets it’s now almost impossible to tell what level someone is really at and you can be in races at any DR level which are really competitive. DRB is the oddest category with fast players working their way back through to A after a reset and others deliberately keeping themselves there for fairer penalties. I dominated in B when I passed through it initially, but being back there a few times after resets, it’s much more competitive now.

Good news! I spoke to Logitech last night who told me to change to ps3 mode and change to PS4 mode as soon as the USB is plugged in. I repeated this around 4/5 times and it eventually worked!

:lol: At the start, I slowed up(my right indicator is on ;) ). I was hanging back just to see how they drive. I get that some players aren't as fast as others and some are cautious and make mistakes. It's just a bit weird in the way they went off and the way they were driving. Just looked like random AI.

It's not so bad DR now the top 24 is standings based because top lobbies for the standard races are never above 55k, whereas before you need 70k+ for top 24. However, you still want the highest DR possible because Polyphony are using it in ways I'm probably not allowed to make public just yet :lol:

I guess I'll pass this day and join for tommorow morning race, I feel sick today only get 1:20.223 in GR.3 and 1:50.898 in GR.2. :sick: Other reason yeah nah my internet broke again and situation getting worst time by time :banghead:
