you to be... me to D LOL
Make that DR C since i got pwned in t1 in the first SR D lobby i entered lmfao. something like 45k DR gone in 3 races. well its not really that important but i'd like to race in the top split rooms and you need DR to do that

In theory at least, I don't get matched against higher ranked players since being reset so it's a long old slog back to 30kAs soon as there is a race at some other track you are going to rack up wins and get back to where you belong.![]()

That your in the top **% on Kudos always reminds me how many low ranked racers there are, i am only on 5,134 points [due to reset after Monza] and I am in the Top 29%. Therefore roughly 2/3rds of drivers must be ranked low C like me or worse?
Alien.
I got Monza'd twice, but not as bad as you!
First race I thought I was doing ok, till race fixing, I mean matching. P11 was my reward. At the first chicane I was being cautious, but still got pushed into the kitty litter... down to P18. Clawed my way up to P11. Had a guy in a purple Lambo smashing into me repeatedly from the side on one of the straits because he didn't like being past. I've raced against him before and he did the same thing there. He ended up in the kitty litter, and I ended up with an orange SR even though we were side by side, I was moving in a strait line. Pitted P7, came out P10. Got nudged again, finished P16.
Not happy with the results when I knew I could do better with a clean race, I went again. I drew the short straw. The grid was mostly B/S with a random A/S and C/S thrown in, and four of us D/Ss. Shaved another 2s from my qualifying from the previous race, but was rewarded with P14. Again shunted at the first chicane, and again down to P18
. Worked my way up to P15 when I came across another dip stick who thought it was a good idea to deliberately knock people off. I had planned to report them, this was just ridiculous
. After I managed to get past him and myself and several others got knocked about by him, he spun me out at the first chicane. Back to P18 and an orange SR
. Worked my way to P15 and again got spun out by the same guy at the same chicane!!!
Pitted P14, came out P16. Finished P14. As for the muppet, he finished the race with SR/E. He started the race SR/S.
So.. after 2 races at Monza, DR down, not sure by how much from before Monza. SR dropped from 99 to 82.
Another day above DR1.
SR 99 -> 62 in one Monza demolition derby. Ranked S-S going in, pooled with a bunch of much lower ranked drivers, most of whom didn't bother braking for T1, or T2, or T3.....
My fault, I should have not played the game as that's the only way not to lose rank.
I am not that fast so I think I'll be starting in the back of Monza anyway. I have never raced there due to the stuff I read on here - but would a good strategy be to start from the back, and then take it slow through the 1st chicane and gain a few positions? Or is there just carnage at every turn?
People who care about their ratings are still doing Monza outside of FIA races?
I think Polyphony have to have a rethink how they calculate DR/SR from the Daily Races. Top S/S guys aren't touching them with a bargepole, the last Daily Race I did for fun was Gr1 Suzuka 6 weeks ago. I think the last Daily B I did was in January and as for Daily A? Forget it. Had to do a Gr3 race at Suzuka last week to recover SR from a Monza midpack penalty fest, but that's the only reason you'll see us do them anymore.
Because the top S are avoiding them, the lower S are starting to as well because they barely gain any DR for winning and soon the A's will give up as there's no S drivers to take points from etc. Maybe they can try races where only SR gets affected, and only DR points reductions could be from those not finishing just to encourage people to continue racing? I think in iRacing only 'official' events impact your iRating, so maybe DR could be linked to just FIA races and hopefully other online championships once the season begins proper just so it doesn't take months to work your way up to S if you have the speed. Take DR out of the equation and that might ease the 'overtake at all costs' attitude as well.
I think that is completely correct. That and the fact that there is absolutely nothing to gain from dailies with 75k DR only boatloads to lose. One of the problems is that you are under threat of losing all of your major DR progress, and your ability to race in the top splits in FIA Race, every single time you race.
Whenever you race in a Daily Race, you are very much at risk, through no fault of your own, dropping multiple SR Ranks and losing loads of DR, stopping you from properly fighting for the FIA Championships.
If you weren't at risk of essentially losing your 'Top FIA Racer' status, then you and other aliens would feel more comfortable taking part in Daily Races.

No risk, no fun![]()
However, you still want the highest DR possible because Polyphony are using it in ways I'm probably not allowed to make public just yet![]()
It's not so bad DR now the top 24 is standings based because top lobbies for the standard races are never above 55k, whereas before you need 70k+ for top 24. However, you still want the highest DR possible because Polyphony are using it in ways I'm probably not allowed to make public just yet
You qualify about 6 seconds ahead of anyone, not risky for you still![]()

This really shouldn’t be the case, we shouldn’t have tracks we have to avoid due to the fear of losing so much DR and SR. This really needs a fix but what is it?
Having a penalty system is definitely better than not but it does need sorting. I personally only race tracks I’m 100% confident on else it lands you in all sorts of problems. DR resets are ridiculous as well, I can understand having the deterrent but it needs to be based on more than just a couple races!!
Also noticed a significant drop in DRS ranked drivers lately. Was around the 1500 mark now 1200 ish
