Man this Big Willow/GR2 combo is amazing. Just follow the guy behind fall, rinse and repeat.

Why must PD put the good lineups on a weekday? If I had the time, I would've tried all three.

Seems that many flocked to Race B but I just could turn down a Suzuka race. Pretty lonely first race for an easy win but the second was a pressure cooker from start to finish. This was high levels of consistency all around.

And for the record, I crossed the 70K DR threshold for the very first time. I'm certain it's on the verge of a freefall once I fight aliens in the FIA races but look how far up a human can go! I didn't get this far up with raw speed, that's for sure!

I was in this race! Started 11th, finished 5th. I was pretty happy with that. Gained around 1000 dr

Just waiting for the count down for Big Willow. Qualified with a 1:06.788. I know there is more in there but try as I might I just can't find it, so that will have to do :scared:.
1:06:381 for me. Having a little trouble whittling that down though.
Good luck!

See you all in B/C :)

Really? Should be fine. Did 3 C races for 3 wins earlier. SR went back up to S here. Turn 1, the left and right, was mostly fine taking the inside line. If another player was fast enough I tried to take turns with the slipstream down the straights to pull away from the others. Definitely not fighting anyone for position. Just trying to pull a gap. I think that once theres a gap it becomes a case of timing your run.

My advise for the Gr. 2 race is, don't give up
I wish it was enough for me also... Started also 5th. In first lap, T3's brake distance was crowded. I got a small touch from behind, and I give it to the one in front. Noone seems to be hurt, all 3 of us went on at our lines, but 10 meters later the one in front started spinning. Looked like an early or too big throttle. Or some lag involved - as I received a huge 10s penalty (!) (The one from behind, who started the domino finished 3rd without _any_ sign of penalty. Good job PD.)
I had to go on from the back, just to have the first car passed in T2 hit me offtrack in T3. What a surprise, this player was not among us at the finish... I finished 12th, lost ~1100 DR points and went down to 92 SR. (-7). Had 4-5 laps of fun in quali and 7 not-so-funny in the race. That's my balance for today.
Hm... good game.

So how did Monza go?
Well, I typed that statement before the race finished. I'm actually B/D!
Showing a loss of form?
In racecraft I guess. But I still am improving on my PB in each passing daily, so maybe not all is lost
Or maybe I can use the usual driver excuse and blame everyone else for being pieces of turds! But then again, it was my fault that I fell off from SR S

Can't really pull a gap in Race C since no one brakes there at SR A :D
Don't worry though, I did an FiA race and I'm back to B/S. I lost all motivation to go back to A+ though so I'm gonna stay in B/S for a few days :)
Flame me :)

Theres hardly any A+ out there doing regular dailys anymore anyway. Most I saw was 3 in one race yesterday - including me.

Enjoy the BS while it lasts.

Well considering my first qualifying lap was 1:20.....

I started the race in P9 with 1 DR/D, a couple of DR/C, a stray DR/A and the rest DR/B in front of me. One of the Aussies on the grid musta been one of 05XR8's mates. His pre-race comment was "I've always loved Fords" :yuck:.

After yesterdays experiment with playing patience, I tried to put that into practice again. I got close to the car in front, and then backed off in the braking zones so I didn't rear end them and pray that the pack behind me didn't ram me off the road in the process. In the past I'd have either accidentaly hit the car in front, or tried to take the slither of inside they had left open, not have enough control to pull that off without pushing them off, and paying for it. Patience and luck worked and I was able to make passes either cleanly or because people came off.

Made it up to P4 when I did a bit more rallying than I wished, and dropped back to P8. The rest of my race was not elegant (and the Judges rule "one more time!"), but I didn't hit anyone or cause any accidents. Crossed the line P6 with no time penalties incurred. No clean race because of the off. :nervous:

DR went up, SR is back in the 90's :D.

I feel like half the battle on Suzuka is the track itself and not the racers. So many people spun off yesterday.

Yesterday I was trying to get my SR back to where it should be, so I didn't qualify and started 19th on Suzuka Gr. 2. I couldn't get the Lexus to go all the way short shifting and at 4 fuel mapping, so I went in for a quick splash and no tires after lap 9. I have to say that I was driving really slow, making sure I don't spin off the S curves, and short shifting and not being very competitive (average times in the 2:00's). I ended up on race in the 8th place!! And another race in 5th place (DR B drivers and mixed A/B SR)! Literally all you have to do is stay on the track and you'll gain 10 positions on that track.

Some friends dragged me into racing at Dragon Trail yesterday, managed to get a low 38 as a q-time for the first few races with the AMG. First race was carnage and I got punted off by some guy who I couldn‘t avoid to crash into after he tried to drift the busstop; he purposely wrecked me off in the first chicane a lap later 🤬 Cost me 1k DR. The next two races were better as I won them both and had good fun, almost recovered the DR loss. I improved my time to a high 37 but unfortunately everything after that was just a wreckfest and having my AMG raped by Toyotas :dunce: got shunted down to SR81 and thereby was gifted another easy win and one I really had to fight an awesome battle for :dopey: Sadly sitting at +60k DR doesn‘t really is an advantage when you finish 4th or lower... At least im back at SR99.
Right before the last race I did I managed to get a 1:37.369 done tho, wish I had that one earlier :ouch:
Met @iFuriousRacer and @GOTMAXPOWER along the way

TL;DR: 4 wins, -1700DR

Yes you where really fast... tooo fast......

Well, I typed that statement before the race finished. I'm actually B/D! ...

 On one hand I feel for you, seriously, on the other however ... well,
the fact it even happens to the best is relief to my own black Monday pain :D ( don't call me mean  ).
You'll be back sooner than me 👍 !

I spent the weekend dinking around with the Formula 1 demo and Monster Hunter. Now my driving has gone down the drain and I have to use TC2 just to drive safe and consistently on a track. It's fine though, the TC usually only kicks in once every lap so I know I'm getting acclimated again.

Which brings up another question, how do you guys bounce between different racing titles without screwing up your technique?

Eyyyy Monster Hunter! Haven't touched that game in a while; been stuck with the Pink Rathian since I'm so focused on Sport Mode

Honestly bouncing back and forth between two different physics models is a very taxing thing to do, especially if you wanna be competitive. I have no idea how people like Super GT does that

It happens to all of us. Now that I've calmed down a bit, I guess I can even say I'm a bit lucky since it only bit me now after playing Sport mode for so long :)

I think this sun heat outside is messing up my driving. I seem to get progressively worse. May need to waot until winter comes, where I seemed to play better.

Haa..

I finally beat Negrigante on the 5th try, 3rd life, and at half health. I thought it would break open the wall and match making but there's actually less people to match with after level 14. No worries, the game is still fun and I'll just slowly inch my way through it to stretch it out.

That F1 game though, I guess I'm not a fan. I had to dumb down the TC system so badly for the DS4 until it finally felt like a GR2 car on TC2 but switching between the linear input model of F1 and the weird input of GT was way more difficult than I thought. I can sort of see why GT went with the non linear throttle input since a 3/4 trigger depression is a hassle to hold steady and the entire qualifying process is a slog.

B/S... where all the dirty drivers hang out :P. Snff, snff... is that a BBQ I smell?

Just bought a Gr4 Megane (I still have a hard time not using the Japanese pronunciation). Can't believe I had all the Renaults except that one. Quick trip to the livery editor. I'd never race in public with stock livery if it's a garage race. A car isn't yours unless you've messed with it yourself in some way :dopey:. Did some pre-qualy laps. 1:49.802 but I know I can bring that down into the :48s. No quicker with my level. Still prefer the Viper, but the sound track isn't bad. I'll probably enter the race after the midnight run. :odd:

Dudeeeee, how did that even happen?
I gave up halfway through the race since I'm so fed up that I didn't decrease my penalties. Got DQ'd

:lol::lol::lol:

Now that you mentioned the Japanese pronunciation of Megane I can't take it off my head, especially that I wear them. AGH!

Yeah after finding out what that translates to. I rock a pair of Megane, being so short sighted.

Go straight to race c without Q lap. Started at the back and slowly climb up to finish at 9. The only one without red dot after race.
