Picked up 5 wins on Race A this morning before heading to work. The 2000gt is one of my favorite cars. It was a challenge hustling it around the Tokyo course but very fun to say the least.

I really want to break into the 1:34s. I'm at a 1:35.6 now. It will have to be a proper on the limit lap to do so.

Last night, I was in the Daily B race at Suzuka with the Corvette. I was in 2nd place and the lead car was slightly braking in the section between the Hairpin and Spoon. I was maybe half a second behind and I think the driver was full throttle and very lightly touching the brakes. It really caught me off guard, I thought maybe it was the lighting hitting the car, but it was indeed the brake light and I caught up pretty easily. Unfortunately, i had no angle to make a move so backed off the gas a bit and followed.

Then the driver braked early going into spoon (we were already going slower than normal), so I accidentally bumped the leader off track. They kept control off track, so I coasted for a few seconds and let them retake the position.

There was a driver in 3rd that quickly caught up on the way to Spoon. Do you think the lead car was trying to slow me into a battle with the car behind me? If so, do you consider this fair racing? Should I have just taken the lead after accidentally bumping them off track?

I'm sorry I didn't save the replay.

I know when I look in my mirror I love seeing the cars behind me in their own battle.

Not knowing the drivers intent who knows, perhaps he is scared of making a mistake and has not lead much but he can set the pace as he sees fit.

It is still up to the guy behind to pass cleanly.

As long as he was braking within a reasonable area on approach to the corner how early he started to brake would not be brake checking.

Sounds more like a timid driver not used to leading than wanting to invite another car to the party fighting for the lead though.

This wasn't just early braking. Driver was braking during the full throttle section between the hairpin and Spoon.

Definitely not a timid driver. This is an S/S rated driver. They fought hard later in the race and didn't brake like this on the previous lap.

As far as passing cleanly, that is why I let them back into the lead. In hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have.

I'm really questioning if their braking on a full throttle portion of track falls into the category of acceptable racecraft or is basically a brake check.

If it was an S/S driver doing that I wouldn’t have given the position back. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Do you know if 1st and 3rd are teammates? Seeing a few more people caught up with guys in the same racing team helping each other out recently

How may taps/nudges do you tolerate before you put someone in the wall?

I can't speak for anyone else but personally I'd never wreck anyone on purpose even if they deserve it. Sometimes they have gone off trying to force me off or push me about or other shenanigans like the brake checking but it was never my intention for it to end that way.

I had something the same the other day on monza. I was starting third and the guy on front was slowing down before the first chicane. First he tried to hit the car on second position but he was greyed out, then he hit me from the side so I spinned. I couldn't see what happened afterwards but he was pretty fast on first position again.

I got myself together after some horrible races the last days, and drove my own race from the back the the midfield. That guy was no noob with fl in the end and won easily. I don't hope this is a trend, with all the back rammers out there :(

I really enjoyed GR. 3 at Yamagiwa today.
Very clean B/S.
Managed to climb few up in every race, though I haven't won.
I don't remember when last time I have played for 5 hours straight.
Yup, finally had some fun. I almost gave up on GTS, but today saved me. I had a pretty good time, 1:35 and a little with a controller, and started mostly on pole and sometimes second. I even made friends today and had one beautiful race I will remember for long time.

One thing I noticed, and it seems pretty odd to me. If I started on pole the car was driving in first gear while the count down begins. I had to shift immediately to second gear. If I started second, the car was running in a low second gear. Why is that?

Anyone else getting disconnects today? entered FIA nation on Dragons Tail, did qualifying but when the race was going to start with driver introductions, it booted me back to menu with a disconnect message (NE-21091091). I hope I can do another FIA race, but i have a feeling that affects my DR/SR.

Yup got disconnected in 2 races, lost 3000 DR and 10 SR...

annnnnd it happened again

I think it depends of the car you are using. My time was 1.35.1 but never been on pole. Dr, b.

Is it my imagination or is it in particular those drivers that enter the room with a "drive clean pass clean" message that end up bumping you in every corner...

I did a couple of races on Suzuka, won one by fluke of getting pole position. It was generally clean apart from that one "drive clean pass clean" driver starting trouble. I'll switch to Kyoto when I have more time to race. I like that fast pit stop.

Did a Suzuka Corvette Road car race, qualified first to my surprise. Game makes me drive slightly over grass in beginning and puts me at top of first gear. So as soon as as I'm let free to race, car is already hitting rev limiter. I was shifting instantly and no response. Two players behind me passed me instantly could be because of game not letting me shift into second gear or it started me out weirdly. They passed me very fast before first corner. I'm not convinced it was just due to the late shift that it wouldn't let me register, it started me off slow and taking a very odd line. I'll try again and if that ******** happens again I'm done for the day.

Simple things if implemented, could greatly improve the sport mode, examples: mandatory qualification before each race, at least one complete lap, end of the ghost mode that more hinders than help and repositioning the cars automatically rescues when you are returning to the track or that makes other competitors appear right in front of you, including damage to the cars, at least the temporary already present in the game, and finally, allow players to use the cars they like most simply allowing us access the settings before the races, that is, stop treating all players as children!

I don't understand why you can't apply liveries for races with a specially provided car. If someone has bought or won a vehicle surely the game would want to encourage people to use them (case in point, cannot use my 2000GT in sport mode).

Surely they can allow people to select a car from their garage, or select a specially provided car for the same race.

Really hard to understand what you wrote.

Loved the GR3 races today DRb got a time of 1.34.6 so was starting about 6-10th place, got loads of podiums with 2 wins, but even in DRb races people are still very dirty drivers esp when they don't want to lose there spot and they just run you wide.

Had some fun at kyoto today. Qualified with a 1:32.4 in the M6. Got three 2nd places and a 5th against some some good competition.
1.32 wow I was in M6 and could only get 34.6 at best.
