I had a great race round koyoto driving park today, I was in last place and trying to close the gap on the gaggle ahead but the gap remained around a second since I came out the pit on lap 7, and then it all came to a head in the final lap and ended up with me runnin out of fuel just before the finish line.

I enjoyed this race far more than the one I won earlier on in the day that’s for sure.

Is it my imagination or is it in particular those drivers that enter the room with a "drive clean pass clean" message that end up bumping you in every corner...

I did a couple of races on Suzuka, won one by fluke of getting pole position. It was generally clean apart from that one "drive clean pass clean" driver starting trouble. I'll switch to Kyoto when I have more time to race. I like that fast pit stop.

Yeah, I’m finding many of those that clamor for clean racing are the ones trolling.

Okay who the hell BRAKES In 130R? 3 guys. you cannot possible avoid hitting them at that point, and the game is too stupid to blame the right guy. Shocking.

Just before going to bed, mixing things up a bit :lol:

Putting the Vette among the M6 lot.

Didn't race today though. Maybe tomorrow. :) I could make top1 with the Vette but my brain and especially my body is half a sleep already.

Decent times well done:tup:

Around 95% of people who play the game; the game itself tells them to. When you're in a race, you shouldn't drive as though you're on a hot lap. Know who you are racing against, and allow yourself the ability to react to what the person in front of you does (not what you think they should be doing).

I'm sure you are right and I try to stay out of trouble like that.. but one big hit cos someone braked half way through the corner costing me 2 SR ranks and a DR rank isn't happy times.

Really hard to understand what you wrote.

1 - Including a qualifying practice before each race would reduce the presence of "trolls";
2- The Ghost mode present in the game distracts and disrupts in the same way that the automatic repositioning of the cars, besides giving the impression of something not to be taken seriously;
3 - There has to be damage for the same previous reason, people have to understand that there will be consequences if they hit other cars or go beyond the limits of the car or the track;
4 - Allow pilots to access their favorite car's configurations (setup) before the races so they can be used on different tracks as well as in real life would be more logical and fun than simply forcing pilots to test different cars to see what the best for a particular track;
5 - All these assists and interventions frustrate the most experienced players and make the game lose the seriousness it tries or tried to pass, there are many "trolls" in the game for the same reasons, which explains the large number of people frustrated in this forum, as I, it's "a game for kids" is what you hear the most, well, the truth hurts, but it seems to be the goal of the PD with this game.

Two races in a row disconnected at the start, can't connect to psn, then it connects again, then the races aren't loading. Deja vu :(

Anyone else getting disconnects today? entered FIA nation on Dragons Tail, did qualifying but when the race was going to start with driver introductions, it booted me back to menu with a disconnect message (NE-21091091). I hope I can do another FIA race, but i have a feeling that affects my DR/SR.

Yup got disconnected in 2 races, lost 3000 DR and 10 SR...

annnnnd it happened again
I had the same problem. Game crashed during quali. After that if wouldn't let me enter the later nations cup races

I just had one of the best races since I started playing.
Race C in Yamagiwa with my little Z4...
Had an OK qualifying of 1:34,283 but was placed in 18th out of 20.
All SS and AS
Difference between pole and 20th was around 2:50 seconds.
Before it started two players left the room, one behind and one ahead of me.
Started very nice... pressuring players in front, passing them clean and passing unlucky ones that crashed.
At end of lap 5 I was 9th, went to pit and left as 11th with 6 seconds from 10th....
Focused on keeping it clean and maintaining my 1:34 1:35 pace per lap.
As lap 8 comes that’s when I feel the pressure in other players, I was in 9th and less than 2 seconds from 8th
Both 8th and 9th made some mistakes on last lap and I was able to pass them.
Finished 7th with less than a second to 6th.

Got the clean race bonus.

That was an amazing race! So many good drivers.
Watching the replay now!

Man, that Toyota 2000GT one make race is really fun. That’s a nice car.
It flies around corners and is pretty easy to countersteer, however one race the guy in front of me almost lost control and lost speed quickly that I hit the back of him and then got a message that he received 10 second penalty, happened to me in another race getting a 10 second penalty after being rear ended. PD really needs to redo the penalty system.

I think it depends of the car you are using. My time was 1.35.1 but never been on pole. Dr, b.
No, same car, same track, same day, same event, same controller, same playstation. Everything the same. Only difference is starting position. Right positioned (pole) is high in gear one, left positioned (second) is low in gear two. I also noticed that from position one the start is also slower then on position two. It's in the game engine for sure.

I got videos of it, maybe I will find some time today to upload them to show you the difference. It's very strange.

Had a great day at Kyoto yesterday, clean and fair racing, moved from DR C to B and SR S from 96 to 99/99, some really good battles with a good bunch of people:bowdown:

What are the others?

Maggiore Center II -- single make (2000GT '67)
Interlagos -- Gr.4

Gr.1 Maggiore endurance was actually pretty fun. Tires only lasted 3-4 laps before pace started slipping on RH even on the 919 Hybrid. Well, maybe especially on the 919, that wheelspin from the sheer acceleration in those low gears is crazy.

Looking forward to seeing the lowest times on Magi today! I'm on a 1.38 on the top 10 but the fast guys haven't woken up yet - I think they'll be doing 1.36's by midday and I can't get back on until later! :D

919 swinging pipe today? I do like that machine. Literally can't drive any of the rwd gr.1's. Well, I can get them to the first corner but what direction I'm facing the other side of it is 'variable'.

Nice, i think i was in that race too, all the players are known for me from a race last night. Mostly of that races were really fair!

Had a few goes at Maggiore this morning and expecting chaos, surprisingly largely decent racing

Sure I'll have dropped some grid positions by the time I get on shortly as the times have fallen. I was doing a 1.41 which I know isnt that fast anyway

How may taps/nudges do you tolerate before you put someone in the wall?
would only do it if someones deliberately was blocks me while im trying to pass him (with clear speed advantage), so you either have to brake late (minus sr) or you are forced to drive off the track/hit the wall. Cant stand this sh**, i can live with someone bumping me from behind, people make mistakes but if someone does that deliberately i am happy to see this person either quit or spin out.
