Predominantly DR/B with the odd A and a few Cs.

Haha! All too often lately, that "odd A" has been me! It's frustrating slipping between the several levels of lobbies, especially since it's usually the "S" drivers who are the ones diveboming and squeezing me off the track. When I get placed in SR.A/B lobbies I just cross my fingers and hope for the best on the first lap. If I can make it through 1 lap unscathed, I can almost always make podium. I wish it was different, as I think the DR.B and DR.C guys should have a real opportunity to win without punting the faster guys in front, but I guess that's the punishment I get for being "dirty." LOL.

I always enjoy your updates man, keep it up.

Well that’s great, I’m going to be matched at Monza with cheaters. For EMEA region just look at the number one replay. Cuts both chicanes and burns the penalties. Why is a qualifying lap not invalidated as soon as you leave the track? Schoolboy error from PD.

Oh and second place has CSA activated, if that doesn’t say it needs a nerf or removing then I don’t know what does.

Let's hope they sort this out before they next have this race again.

Having a look at the number 1 drivers DR and SR ratings tells us that he's a serial tanker.

Looks like stalagmites...or is it stalagtites?

Like many others

I ran Monza 4-5 times- and actually had fun. I even dragged myself up into DR B... However, I did see one guy straighline T1 at least twice in one race, and even being close enough to SEE it wasn't close enough for the penalties to make any difference. I think if you straightline it, the reset should put you back at the first braking marker. Oh, and the Megane Trophy needs a little bit more top end, at least for Monza. I swear I saw an old guy on a Vespa go by me...

Yes it's Gr4, so it's Megane Trophy one make race, as even though there are at least a couple of cars that can match it on pace here, they'll come nowhere near to it on fuel economy.

Only did Race A today. Turned on the game, saw Gr. B and Monza and was just like 'nope'. A Gr. 4 race without a Megane or a Veyron in sight = glorious.

Got in early so at one point I was in the top 10 in the UK and top 50 in Europe, though I can imagine by now I'm about a millionth! This meant I was actually matched with a few really talented A and A+ drivers which was fun. Although I threw away 3 or 4 chances to win, including at one point finishing 0.028 seconds off first place, I had so much fun and my DR jump puts me as high up as I have ever been.

My highlight was a clean pass from far back on the last corner of the last lap to win my only race of the day and 11th in total. Still can't believe how I did it, in all honesty but I'll gladly take it.

Hopefully there is a good track for Gr. 3 coming up soon, because it's the only class which is still (mostly) properly varied and competitive, manufacturer wise.

Just the one race at Monza today, came away with a blue S post race keeping me at 99, and gained 148 DR, and a really enjoyable race. Even when my 9 lap old tyres gave way at Parabolica and allowed P9 to sneak past I was happy with my finish.

I had a lot of fun with the Gr B at Brands hatch today on sport soft. Really love playing on the grip limit of understeer and oversteer with the Audi. People were clearly enjoying themselves.

Another typical Monza night with the exception that I never left SR.S. It got close though, down to 81 SR after some shenanigans. One 10 sec penalty from someone messing up in front of you already means a red rating at A/S.

One of those 10 sec penalties came from the side effects of ghosting.

The car further ahead tries to serve his penalty, the car in front of me thinks he can pass through yet the first car unghosts on his bumper. The car in front of me panics and does an involuntary brake check earning me a 10 sec penalty. Why do people serve penalties in lap 1, in traffic, with a car right behind. Should be reason fro DQ imo, yet the game says slow down...

Another ghost penalty

A recovery not making any attempt to stay out of the way as he is ghosted anyway. I can't slam on the brakes as there's a car right behind me, so I do what the game wants me to do and go through. Not, he goes solid while we are overlapped, bang noise, 4 sec penalty.

The game needs to stop unghosting cars on top of other cars. This whole ghosting is pretty dumb anyway. In another race a car that crashed in T1 merged with my car and we drove together to and through the next chicane, occupying only 1 spot on the track. It was efficient use of space I guess. Yet without ghosting T1 would be a standstill. Perhaps the game should slow down the car that is behind instead of letting cars draft ghosts which keeps them merged.

Anyway on the short way back to 99 I managed to score a victory:

This one was worth 419 DR, instead of the 3 DR I got for the DT Seaside victory from the back.

Second place earned me more. At the 23:30 race I got 1126 DR for second place surviving this room
3PPc.jpg

That was a max SR room, well at least it was at the start of the race...

And those starts! Starting from the back doesn't really work if there's still more non qualifiers behind you. I only had the luxury of starting 20th once, 19th in another race yet usually I still get 3 or 4 cars behind me. Starting from the back looks like this:

oGUqQ1h.gif

Best to brake a little early and coast through the mess as smooth as possible. In one race I went from nearly last to 4th place before Ascari. The gif on the right is the first part of it, went to 5th after the second chicane then another place up next corner.

Monza had some 'nice' characters again as well. One guy got called out by 3 people after the race (including me), a true serial diver. Yet he ended with a blue rating as the only thing you can do with a dive bomber in A/S is make room, let him cut you off, or get a penalty. Looking him up on KP he only recently made it to SR.S. I guess with 400 races with SR and DR at B and lower, you pick up quite a few bad habits. That was the only race I lost some DR as I finished 8th behind him, he was just too dangerous to pass for a third time.

My last race of the day was great again, finished 2nd, clean race bonus (105K credits, not bad actually), which puts my DR at 36.9K, so much for getting back to DR.B.

The lead(it was in 5th/6th)Trophy didn't pit, but me and the other NSXs pitted at Lap 9. I would have been leading if the GT-R didn't early brake at T4. Why brake at the 300 or 200 marker? I was 0.5seconds behind with nowhere to go. It's braking and not turning into the turn. I veered right, near miss and I burn my turns sliding sideways.

Onto N400 with the NSX.

See, that's where you are wrong: you are right about the Megane needing one thing, but that one thing it really needs, is to be removed from Gr4 and placed in it's own racing class (one make races only that is!)
