Yes EU is also *cough* Megane Trophy 11 when I left for work so I guess I will have to try and use the "evil one" for my
qualifying laps a bit later. ;)

Well I learned another lesson today...

I did Race C this morning with a :gtpflag:member, @Beetlecrzy . With both of us quali'd in the top 3, it was bound to be a good race. Sadly, I overestimated the tyres on the Isorivolta, and on Lap 4 I slid right into him on a pass that should have been safe... I knocked him right out of the lead, and then waited till he passed me. Sadly, so did a few other cars including the eventual winner.

Thankfully, he's a good driver and recovered enough to finish second... still I have to apologise, as I hate killing someone's race. My fault totally, but hopefully he saw me pull over and wait... contact concession demands it. I'd rather lose in a fair race than win in a dirty one.

Hopefully we meet again... as he's one of the drivers I look forward to racing with.

Cheers

It's setted to open tuning but impossible to access the numbers !!! So it's stock , horrible originals settings.
It most likely says open because PD have changed the settings from stock. Much like the fiat 500 race a few weeks ago

I'm away from home but checked the gtsportraces.com to see Race C is Gr. X. What car is it?

unfortunately this is not true probably description in "main page" of race says "allowed" but inside you need to choose car from gt garage, not your own, meh or maybe I'm not owning that car and that's why that happened?

As far as I know, all Race As are vehicle supplied.

I finally managed to get on! For a while I kept getting an error trying to get on to GTP . Time being short and me wanting to get my daily workout, just the one race for me. I did the apparently much maligned Race C. I did some qualifying to get a feel for the car and after I felt I had enough of a handle on the thing to stay on the track, I entered. Clearly there was a consensus of unpopularity amongst the ranks because I qualified P9 on a grid of only 14 instead of the usual 19-20 :dopey:. Priority for match fixing goes to SR. I was sitting on SR99 yet they were having such a hard time putting enough cars together for a race that there were SR/As on the grid. DR's were also mixed.

The flag drops and down the track I go. While everyone goes to the right, I take the inside down the left. I've been slammed, rammed and otherwise jammed on T1 of Lago and ended up with penalties and orange SRs in previous races that I intend to protect myself. I get to the corner, go around slowly and find a gap to get across to the exit of the second corner and off I set, avoiding penalties :D.

I spent the rest of the race just mainly focused on trying to stay on the track. I know I was loosing some time with the drift on some of the corners, but generally was doing well. I had a some really good, clean battles with a couple of the guys in front of me. They were behind me for some time, till the one blemish of the race. I lost focus coming up to the esses and totally missed my braking point. I managed not to hit any walls and I guess because I wasn't trying to drive under speed back onto the track I didn't get a short cut penalty. That's when I got passed :(.

The next guy came along a bit later and I was using all the road getting from corner to corner and defending the inside. It was clear the guy behind was faster, but I wasn't going to make it easy for him. Coming up to one of the corners, forget which one, there was some overlap, and he seemed hesitant to pass. Since he was being so respectful, I did the decent thing and backed off to let him pass unimpeded. I just clung on behind so see if the greasy grip got the better of them. It did a couple of times and I closed the gap, but just not enough. I had better drive coming out of the final corner, was catching up, but there just wasn't enough length to overtake before the finish line. Finished P7. :D

SR still 99, DR went up from 760 to 1092. Another day above DR1 :D.

Had a blast today with Race A. Had a very good quali but I was put against worse drivers so winning meant I almost did not get any DR points. Also started a lot of times second. Even though I had a top 10 time this morning. Very frustrating to finally be on top and still no poles.

Eventually got “lucky” in a bad race and my SR dropped to 65 ! That meant I could win about 4 races in total and a couple in 2nd place. Of course that meant the DR almost did not climb.

But overall very nice racing. The car is brilliant and you need to really fight hard to stay on track and be fast enough. I love these competitions. Had a blast some races and was laughing also couple of times. I was not in pace sometimes. Was 10 seconds ahead and the last hard corner went off. The 2nd and 3rd came close but they both also went off so I could continue my race up front. Could almost not stop laughing :)

I still am frustrated that PD changed the shifting for cars with manual, but it is what it is. Have to just accept that this has been changed and will not come back.

Despite my good driving my DR went from 35.000 to 37.000. Not much, but better than down.

Brilliant game !

So far I'm finding Race B on Alsace to be pretty fun. The track has more flow than people make of it, and I'm having the luck of pulling away from the Megane trophy with my NSX. Both races I had pole and won. so this could say i got lucky pairings, but on the first race there was a megane that always got some time on me after the corners following parabola.

All and all, Gr4. is fun for a high C/low B scrub like me, who's playing this for the first week

Ha, I'm the opposite. I enjoy the reverse much more than the regular direction. Much less diving in that U turn. It's not a great track either way though, barely beats Alsace at the bottom of the barrel.

I happen to like Alsace. Very wide and fast track. Great track for LMP Group 1 cars to run.

I like Alsace as well, I find it had nice flow once you figure it out.
Hate how people race on it tho, thus, I did my Sr a favor and stopped racing there.

It was fun in GR.2, GR.1 has never featured on Alsace in sport mode afaik. GR.4 no thanks!

The flow is all right, yet because it's so wide people come from all angles and try to dive in every corner. With faster cars the lines tighten up a bit, in GR.4 it's almost like you're driving through busy intersections all the time.

Where do you see your DR/SR scores? I’m not talking about the letter ranking (EDCBAS) but the actual numerical value within each letter ranking.

(need to change your own profile number, you can find your number on the GT sport site under profile and then check the URL)

Actually it's easier to just click the 'Players' button in the header on Kudos and enter your PSN name. You can use this to check others stats also like people you race online.

I had a go at Race C last night and started on pole. Lost a couple positions in first lap as the car is a little slippery in race. Others pitted lap 5 and I went to lap 6. As I'm entering the pits I'm greeted with a blue screen. :banghead: This happened to me the other night at Northern Isle after matchmaking put on pole I got DC'd at warmup. This was also my first race that night, coincidence? I seem to remember other times this happening on my first race of the evening. You get all ready to race and bam!, you have to wait another 20-30 mins to race. Frustrating. Having just checked my Kudos stats I'm shown as not finishing 12 races after having only one for the longest time. Oh well, I will be trying the Zagato race again tonight. Hope to see some of you there. :)
