I hated it at first, but I found putting the brake balance toward the front helped keep it a little straighter - it's quite fun once you get into it, but not the greatest combo from a hotlapping perspective! I think I can get into low 1.29 but 1.28 is very impressive with such a loose car

I was not that enthused when I saw the races come up but did a few Q laps in the Viper (after watching @zzz_pt's lap) and the car grew on me quite a bit. So Intered a race and did quite well, then ended up doing it four times in a row :lol: (love the timing of Race B) - gained 5200 DR in one evening :)

It's all about braking hard and early on first and last corners.

Didn't want to risk Race C after losing 10k DR on Interlagos on Saturday and Race A... no words
 
Just qualified yesterday, no races. Had TT's to do. Started with the Viper and had a ball. Very rewarding to get right and managed to get about 1'30.8xx I think. Think that would've been good enough for mid-pack and saw carnage in my future so didn't press my luck.
Then I gave gr.1 a go. Working on the '16 R18 to get an efficiency advantage. Managed a mid 21. Think that's ok for me but well off the mid/low 18's of the top 10 so I'm not competitive at all yet. Just as well I didn't race!
 
The daily races in oceania have some dodgy brothers top of the charts doing 1.51s Dont brake first turn get reset...they are 5 secs ahead of 4th atm...7 seconds in front of me.

Viper sure was fun.. After a few day drought managed to get some poles and wins :)

Same here man. 17 wins now in 367 races :) 6 of which since 15th Jan when I started reading this site.

Yeah im the same. Cant compete with cheaters who are 7 secs ahead.

Yeah exactly... weirdly I thought that (re it being ok to introduce Sambabus) last night.

What times were you getting on the Viper race?
 
Everyday we reach new heights.

As lobbies are empty I had a go at Monza with the Cayman (one of the few with fuel indicator in the cockpit although I think it no longer really works as it was showing half tank at the start of the race)

Qualifying: Had time for 4 laps of which 3 I found out for my surprise were cancelled (I have no HUD so can’t know where) although I am sure never exceeded reasonable track limits
Result: start from the back

Race: first corner with the usual casualties, we proceed to the second chicane where some guy uses the usual sport mode brake testing

Time to get to Ascari and I was kindly offered a ticket into the sand alomg with a bunch of others...

Continue the race behind an M4 which on the straight I can barely keep up using the slipstream.
After two further laps some guy in a Mustang makes me fly over the first corner and there I decide to quit

Key lessons: never again, going around a motorway is not for me

Useful tips: everyone is on the Lambo or Aston. For those wiling to try I suggest the Mustang, it could be the surprise of the day as no cornering is involved

No comment on the other race selection, especially race b around an oval

I believe that you start with part-loaded fuel. I have seen other posts saying that the lap indicator shows more laps after pitting and filling than it does from the start.

I have raced Monza once and will never race it again.
 
It is a big mess again today for Race C.

Not only because of the tyre wear glitch.

And because it is Monza, I watch few top-10 time. They are just ignore the track and cut all chicane, but somehow the time can register as legitimate qualify time (no penalty). It can be easy 4 seconds faster than drive within the track. PD need to fix this quick.
 
Damn, no racing today :( Monza is a cool track, but it is not worth to race it. Grinding qualifying to get a top ten time is not worth it too during all cheating there. Bad :( In this cases three races a day is much too less.

If only they went to Tuscany instead...we would now have Mugello, a real racetrack with none of this bs :lol:
 
It could just be coincidental luck .. but I don't think I've received a single duplicate daily miles car since update 1.11, and I have a total of almost 170 cars, including quite a few duplicates. Am I just lucky or might there be a hidden tweak to the carousel after the update? :odd:

Just lucky. I'm still getting duplicates. In fact, I got the Merc A45 two days consecutively ffs. It is completely random.

Ouch! :D. Yeah well I kinda suspected that, guess I'm just on a lucky streak! Here's hoping to cap that streak off with the P4 or XJ13 :D

I know, right.. it's bad enough getting a duplicate but two days in a row ffs. Surely it wouldn't be hard to build in a code that checks your car list before the wheel spins?

Yeah that would be nice, maybe tweaking it so the chances of dupes are less, but not eliminated. The other day my brother fired up the game for the first time in a while and BOOM! P4 right out of the gate :D. Day after it was the LaFerrari. Guess the GT gods have favorites :D

This is getting really annoying! We really need a report button, or PD to do stuff. Something at least! :rolleyes:
Maybe make it, as soon as you cut a corner and get a time penalty, your lap failed. Penalties in time trail/Quali should be permanent, so you need to start a new hotlap!? No more wearing of would solve at least Monza
 
Three wins with the Viper tonight. Really enjoyed that race. Got into a nice rhythm with the car. Think my qual time was low 1.28. I like these N class races that require you to use finesse instead of just hammering the gas. Also like that you throw a livery on it unlike some of the one-make races.
