This too but without something like barriers to stop cutting there is a good chance the time gain from a cut will be greater than the penalty, as happens at other points here too. It could also create new cheating opportunities on other tracks so it needs fully testing first.

Probably the best bet is to also stop people running penalties off and add them at the end of the race. So basically do all the things that have been suggested on here for months now.

I'm not sure where I did it, but I remember driving a version of Monza where you don't have the reset and ignoring the chicanes got me minutes worth of penalties, Yet for some reason a 3 minute penalty simply disappears after half a lap. Maybe it was one for the early GT League races on Monza, it was quite comical.

Permanent penalties can't come soon enough, after removing the yellow flag penalty. Corner cutting at speed needs harsher penalties as well. It would be nice though if the game recognizes the difference between cutting the corner yourself and getting bumped off the track on the inside.

Hopefully not to much of a stupid question but if I want to create the time trial of a daily race I'm assuming I just set the car settings to BOP for the track..

I had no idea the qualifying times were reset. I just assumed it was a bug. :ouch:

That left me starting from the rear of the grid for two races, which was actually kind of fun when you’d normally be qualifying within the top 6. Too bad I dropped to SR: B from S due to a mixture of unavoidable collisions at turn 1, strict track-limits penalties and one driver in a TT Cup whose reckless driving scored me a 10 second penalty on the final lap. I’ve never experienced a rating drop like that.

I have experienced a drop like that before. The first and only time I raced on Monza

But then when the players get banned from GTS for using this "exploit" to gain an advantage either with starting position or during the race we will have a new source of IDINDONUFFIN to get banned threads.

Also on the race condition screen make sure you duplicate the conditions in your offline practice as with different sun/shade or temperature differences can affect the grip available on the track.

So I guess that running on Monza can only be safe if you re using the Samba Bus??? Not even with a kart???

No chance, it's not even the dive bombing that is the main problem, loads are just pushing people about. Sadly even a gtp tagged driver felt the need to brake check me and try to force me off track just for a win, the thing is I had a ton of penalties anyway due to the harsh track limits and also being pushed about previously. Still came second too because most had penalties.

I was already planning on quitting the game, yet since I had some time at lunch I figured maxing my SR one last time. I guess it will remain sitting at 95 as I continually got bumped on Monza. With results like this I don't care for racing anymore. I'll be back when the penalties are permanent as nobody seems to care about cutting corners.

Getting bumped in every corner for not cutting sucks.

How do I understand you, mate!... :guilty:

Might want to check the registry, I‘ve seen at least one guy on the euro servers with a GTP tag that wasn‘t in the registry

Yes it's possible he isn't registered, I have not looked . Does not really matter anyway, his actions cost me nothing and he gained nothing, he was just one of many overly aggressive drivers today, Monza brings them all out it seems.

True that. I experienced that yesterday with the 86 oval race, some guy tries to spin me around 3 times by bumping my rear quarter panel, fails 3 times and on the 4th attempt spins me out and himself too :banghead: good job 👍

Is this aproved? I think the weather conditions only affects your sight.

I asked this before and no one could confirm/deny weather affected tires. I think the general consensus is it does not.

Edit: Time of day - weather.

Yes, I'm using one today because I appreciate the message of TNTR. @qwbufp @QRacer_31 is aware of it. :)
