Hi I started using the Aston on the GR.4 races as I noticed I was a lot quicker with it (as are others). My time on Dragon Tail is now approaching 1:48 but I can see people easily doing 1:45 in a race with BOO on. I noticed one guy had TCS 1 on which seemed impossible for me with a controller and I wondered if others use controller with the Aston without TCS..

Are there any other settings to tweak such as brakes, ABS default / weak as it would really help..

I noticed you also mentioned a tyre glitch. Does that mean people using different tyres outside of what is set for BPO in the daily race..

with a time like 1:48 I assume you're not flat out through the bus stop chicane? give that a try you'll chop a second off I reckon
 
TCS off will always be faster... it will take some mastering though as RWD cars will just spin if you hit full throttle to soon on corner exit.

Personally I use TCS for all RWD...

This is getting really annoying! We really need a report button, or PD to do stuff. Something at least! :rolleyes:
Maybe make it, as soon as you cut a corner and get a time penalty, your lap failed. Penalties in time trail/Quali should be permanent, so you need to start a new hotlap!? No more wearing of would solve at least Monza

That’s what I don’t get.

My 3 laps qualifying were cancelled for no apparent reason other than using the curbs as I cannot see where I went off track according to the game.

Cutting the chicane should also be the race strategy then if you can gain 3 seconds net according to some who tried.

So not only the track itself is a joke, its track limits are a joke too :banghead:

Monza does seem ridiculously harsh with regards to track limits, which is why after racing it once the day it was added and dropping SR from B to D, I won't be racing on it again.
 
Can anyone post a vid of these ppl cutting these corners? I'm at work so can't see on ps4

Someone posted about it the other day, out of interest I tried it and lo and behold if you drive at full pace into the first chicane on Monza, it respawns you the other side of the chicane :lol: (I am nowhere near a top 10 driver, so don't think I have set any Q times doing this... I also refuse to race on Monza as it is a **** circuit for sport mode)

Yes that's the main exploit here, gains seconds easily. Easy fix is to barrier it so you can't cut in the first place, no need for life like safety measures in a video game, just stop the cheaters.
 
This is not good as I love this track but I see there's no point racing there.

This too but without something like barriers to stop cutting there is a good chance the time gain from a cut will be greater than the penalty, as happens at other points here too. It could also create new cheating opportunities on other tracks so it needs fully testing first.

Probably the best bet is to also stop people running penalties off and add them at the end of the race. So basically do all the things that have been suggested on here for months now. :lol:

A. One make race in a car that may as well have wooden tyres for all the grip it generates. Not much good for DS4 users. All on a track with no clean overtaking spots... No Thanks.

B. Why would anyone want Northern Isle in the 1st place, but for a 2nd day running....? Gr.3 Wreck fest. No bump drafting allowed or Bye Bye SR, No Thanks.

C. Gr. 4 (yay) but on Monza, where it has been clearly demonstrated that track cutting is faster even with the penalties..... plus with tyre wear still on for some reason, despite the glaringly obvious options tyre refresh exploit / bug. No Thanks.

Oh, but there are always the Nations Cup and Manufacturer races, but... they still, for some reason, have tyre wear in them, why oh why is this the case, given the already mentioned options tyre refresh exploit / bug?? No Thanks.

I’m going to give a try at Monza now as I just managed to qualify below 1:57.....

1:56.975 (and I think I can do a bit better)


I’m afraid that first chicane, wish me luck!!! (“To the infinity and beyond!!!)

Was totally unaware of those cheaters in qualifying but the replays I saw in America server none did it...

Nations Cup was interesting.. believe me... Nurb with Group 3... was fine! :)

I was just in fact wondering who’s in charge of the race selection.

Honestly, if you had a monkey or any other capable animal hitting at random buttons they would get better race combos.

I mean, on Sunday they thought people would wake up and say yeahh let’s race hard with the pick up :confused:

It would be even fun but not for a supposedly competitive event with dr sr whatever involved

PD just needs to give +20sec penalties like it happens on the SS (left right left). at Kyoto Yamagwia after the second sector. You get 20 if you cut the first left, then 10 on the right and 1 or 2 seconds on the second left.

Monza needs these types of time penalties and not a respawn or a barrier.

A barrier doesn't allow to get away from an accident if you're hit from behind. A respawn doesn't make sense.

Yah.. I think that today the race selection is very close (very very much..) to the "overall Class" for yesterday´s selection... and may even be close to reach a new level... in... what may be called "a sick sense of humor" ...
 
I’m back on top 10 for a little bit...
but it didn’t save my video, got a message saying my storage was full, I have about 50gb free space on my PS4... is there a limit for GTS?
