And every race was won by the Ford.
Not surprised with how OP it is right out of the gates. When I was running the 911 RSR a couple days ago, I was getting passed by them on that long straight at the backside of the track while I was in the slipstream of the car ahead of me.

I'm a glutton for punishment, the Honda races are fun, although not quick are great for being consistent and practicing race craft, plus I'm getting many clean races and a healthy smattering of wins....

Talking of which, I take pride that my SR is a stable 99... then something like this happens:

SR 99 to 80 in the space of two bends. And before anyone says it, I know, I could/should have backed off a little, but at these speeds and with such tight racing I'd have lost 2-4 places...

Felt good. No qualy. Second race since Monday. Started last and kept my nose clean.

I've only been racing the Audi because it's fun too drive but the BoP is a bit of a joke, if you start the straight a second ahead of a Ford you will not only be behind by the hairpin but also too far back to try anything on the brakes to get back through.

Ouch :(
I wouldn't have backed off there as well tbh, unless I get a penalty. I'd prolly be a bit frustrated if that happens to me, but I'd look back at it and say "heheh that was a fun occurence"

Well thanks for the posts about Race A and driving tips, I finally managed to get a win on Race A this morning but my lap's
are still a bit scrappy so going to try BB -2 next time.

I think the Honda S660 will go down as a fun car I love but struggle to get the best potential out of the car at the same time.

Does your rank take a hit if the game disconnects you? I was leading and all of a sudden I had a message saying I was disconnected.

It will affect your DR as it will reduce your points because you failed to finish the race, SR should remain the same.

Just wondered but is anyone still actually enjoying the daily races since they became weekly? I personally can barely face playing the same combos now its been up for 5 days.

Yep, I prefer race c as a weekly race. Way better than a daily rotation for me.

The other two lobbies can be on a daily rotation since they are so short, I don't play those anyway.

I have done a few races today still just to get my fix, but nowhere near as many as normal. Personally I think they should have change the number of races to 4 or more. That way at least one of the races could be up for a week with the rest changing either everyday or after 2 days max.

I miss the days when this page was fun, now am just left to moan. Dark times.. :irked:
Having two Meta cars doesn't help matters as you don't seem to be able to win unless you use those, so we are basically stuck with 3 one makes all week.

What the heck just happened. @SpeedyishOlly must have seen it from the ring seat, a driver who has been dominating races for two days now went totally nuts, posted some really weird stuff in the chat box and tried to take me out on a corner exit. Apparently the shenanigans didn't end there.

Seemed almost like someone else driving, forced his way past me too. Race A just feels like a mess in general today.

I'm still trying to create some fun, still haven't qualified for race C. I'm switching cars every few races and try to survive in the increasingly bumpy backfield. I'm back to reporting 2 or 3 drivers a race as the standard of driving is going downhill. It seems hardly anyone cares about a proper pass anymore since sticking a nose in and pushing the other car aside is no longer penalized. Directly that is, in the result screen most of the back has red ratings.

Sometimes there's still some clean close racing to be had yet most of the time it's nothing but an avoid contact and get out of the way of divers simulator. Any racing rules are out the window. Even when penalties are issued they don't matter much as the 2 sec or so is way too easy to burn off during the race.

I guess I'll dig in the back of my last used car page tonight, see what I havn't driven the longest to play the real avoidance simulator some more. For one thing, I definitely do not want to drive the Ford on that track any more. Too bad you get timed out, otherwise I would try to convince the entire room to all drive the track in reverse for a change.

Perhaps I'll stop avoiding cars and see what SR.B is like after a couple days on that track. Boring to see the same track, the same people, the same cars every day. Too many Fords in SR.S.

Maybe without the dailies people will be tempted to set up some interesting lobbies, I have a look through them now to see if there's anything I fancy, where as before I'd just go straight to sport mode.

I was thinking this morning:

- I’m tired of the same races, I would like some more variety.

- I appreciate the struggle of causal players who feel overwhelmed by daily race changes

So, one solution would be to have a mix of daily and weekly races available for people to choose from.

What I was thinking though, taking inspiration from FPS games, what about having a rotation of say 3-5 different circuits, and the circuits in the rotation would change every week. So for people who play daily, we get some variety, and for people who play only a couple times a week, they have a chance to get some practice.

I’ll be honest, track Shuffle lobbies have always been my favourite type of lobby. Pick a class for the evening, then jump in a lobby that goes quali -> race -> track change. I’d love to see a matchmaking lobby that had a track shuffle feature like most FPS games have.

I'm afraid weeklys are here to stay. They seem to have full focus on new, single player (like before) GT which basically gives them no time to meddle with dailies.

...what? How does that mean they only have the time to set up a schedule of three races at the start of each week, rather than 21?

is anyone running a no stop on the daily c? what's the most fuel efficient car now after the update?

Well, I'm feeling hopelessly outclassed by the folks that are spending the week practicing and getting used to the new tire model. A race like Tsukuba would usually get me a win or at least some podiums. The last race I ran, the only reason I wasn't last was because the S/S fellow behind me was cruising around for SR points. My fastest lap was the slowest of all the drivers by a second. Cost me 800 DR points.

I never have much time to play and when I do it's usually to practice for the FIA Manufacturer Series. If not I usually play daily A since it's with street cars and most combos tend to be fun. I generally farm poles and wins from Daily A, mostly because it has such low participation. I hadn't done a Daily since Season 1 started but since we have a week off I jumped in to Daily A twice this week, today and Wednesday. I had no trouble getting up to speed and had multiple wins and poles on both days.

Maybe it's more the car than the new tire model that's messing you up. The car is a low-power MR so it has some pretty unique characteristics. It requires extremely smooth trail braking entering the turns and throttle modulation coming out of the corners (not modulation like Gr. 3 cars though, it's just a quick press of the throttle but without mashing it. If you mash the throttle coming out of a corner you will lose grip in this car).

Just a little bit of sliding under braking or under acceleration will ruin your lap time. So yeah, might just be one of those combos that's not sitting well with you.
