I'm unable to fire up GT Sport at the moment to confirm in-game but the website says the settings for this race are adjustable.

So yes, if you can, try brake balance but I think you should also try changing gearing, suspension, etc. as they might give up more time.

Oh boy! Now I feel like a noob! :banghead:

Never realised you could tune the car so I'll check this later on and have a look at the tuning section of the forum for a tune for the car.

Just did another A race. Started 8th, finished 1st....on lap 3, I went from P7 to P1 in three corners lmao :p. Now that I know what makes this little S660 tick, and how to tune it, I like it....I can smash people who clearly haven’t had as much time to practice and learn that rolling apex speed is the most important thing with this car, and that adjusting the brake balance every race can help eliminate snap oversteer on turn in.

Changing brake balance every race?? Please elaborate.

I’ve been stuck on +5 and haven’t moved. Didn’t even know you could tune the car so will check that out tonight

So tried out the VW VGT in the daily race against a field of Ford GT's and it can just about keep up.

Next attempt will be the Peugeot VGT, which I think is slightly faster. Need to practice though as still haven't broken the 3:30 range yet.
Then finally I will give the Ford GT a try and see where I am. Starting to get the hang of the track now though :)

Good to see another driver using the VW VGT! Man, how many Ford GT's were in your race?

My last race C (in the Asia region) had a couple of rabbit Ford GT's starting up followed by a mob of other cars. By the end of the race only 3 Ford GT's in the top 10. In the two races I completed tonight, there seemed to be a lot more drivers using non-Ford GT's. Maybe I was lucky!

The RCF has worked relatively well for me might be worth a go

If they are going to keep it like this, at least let us fine tune cars... I mean custom setup would be nice... This is for race cars, street cars should be stock...

No worries, i wish tuning was possible, would help explain why am a second of the fastest times. Can't blame my car so must just be my lack of talent.

Watch a replay perhaps. Theres not that many corners of the track to focus on.

I know mate, watched a few replays that got me down to a 1:16.500 just cant do consistent laps or improve on that time. Wanted to try and get the clean race achievement but not sure I can face doing that many race A's as its not the most exciting of races.....

Well I have done a crazy amount of laps on Race A time trial to try and get a good time in, my best is a 1:16: 681 but I am sure
I can do better as qualifying mid-field each time.

I think most of the time gain/loss is from T1 and the big hairpin but I find it very easy to have wheelspin through those corners.

For T1 I have been braking as early as possible to give more drive out of the corner and for the big hairpin I tend to brake just after
the small chichane section and then I apply throttle gently to swing the car round the hairpin quickly but I am sure my brake
point is too early.

Going to try some practice in a normal time trial after work and see if I can pick up any tenths before trying again but this one make
race is proving a real challenge to get a better time off which I am liking because it's all down to our skill with the car.

I did 5 more races on St Croix, so bored now. I was done after 4, however in the 4th race I got punted twice in T3, then I had a beetle behind me that found it necessary to tap my bumper 5 times or more instead of attempting a normal overtake. No penalties for me, yet that contact that I had zero control over and no fault of my own resulted in a red S. So I had to do one more where I got punted again yet since the driver that kept bumping got demoted to SR.A I got back to SR 99.

My lap times are improving yet the alien up front is running further away regardless. I can do a 3:32 now with a lot of drafting, pole runs 3:28... Result I'm just finishing further back now, avg finish position went up slightly to 7.84. At least I stuck to SR.S and the 'drop' was only to 97. I'm starting to lose concentration as well and ran off a couple times in the boring end section. Enough of this track. My average of 12 races a day is going down the drain with weekly races.

And my worst fears for next week came through, Interlagos GR.3 plus NGP GR.4. NGP is already boring in GR.3, GR.4 ugh. Interlagos is my worst track in GR.3. GR.1 I would still have some fun there, sprint races in GR.3 yuck. Big Willow might be all right for a while. At least I can drive lots of different cars on there, or does this mean one-make N400 | Specially Provided Car, I'm confused. Settings: fixed, sounds like a one make. Please no. please, please PD, you got to be kidding.

Perhaps I'll give Tsuslowba a try tonight although it does not sound appealing at all. N100, I'll probably exit from boredom. GTS we had such a good run, yet these weekly races are worse than the PSN disaster that broke my GT5 online addiction. At least then I was still looking forward for PSN to get fixed and get back on.

Sounds too early for the first corner. The best way I can describe it, using the in-car view, is to start braking when you see the stripes of the kerb on the inside. Keep a reasonably wide line and you can turn back quickly enough to still keep a lot of speed. Also that's for crossing the start line at 76/77 mph, so make sure your drive out of the big bend is good.

Whats the deal with this new Ford GT Gr3 thing?! The Top 10 are swarmed with it and on my friends list almost all are using it.
I tried the new track today morning for the first time and after a few laps I was able to do 3‘32 but on the following lap I had already almost 2 Seconds gained on that time just to all throw it away on the final left hander before start/finish.
Of Course in the 458. But from what I think that was almost the max. So a 3:30 should be doable with a bit more concentration.

So my question is, is the Ford just brutally overpowered because I saw some of my buds turning 3:27 times and the fastest are even running 3:24 iirc. Or am I just ridiculously slow.
Because some brave and usually fast on my friends list turned up with their favorite Cars (no FordGt) and were all in the 3:32-3:35 s in their usually driven Cars like RCF, Vette,... so does it even make sense to try using anything besides this FordGt
I can’t ffs drive that Suzuka Track any longer. It has become unbelievably boring after spending the last 3 days building up my Dr on my new Account. It’s always me in my 458 against Méganes :boggled:.
On the other side, i had some good races over the past few days and met many well known members like @trevisio who was as far as I remember the only 1 who also refused to run this French Wizard.

Lots of dirty driving in Race A today. Stricter penalties would definitely be needed there, oh well, I'll use the report button instead.

I can't see any options to tune for race A, i this really possible? All i can move is TCS and Brake balance.
For race A, the only things you can adjust are the TCS and brake balance. Turn the TCS off, and each race, you have to use the in-car menu to shift the brake balance (in race A, you can’t adjust the brake balance in the tuning sheet). Moving be brake balance a few clicks forward makes the car much more stable when trail braking deep into corners like T1.

Same here, I'm trying to find something remotely competitive against the Megane (yes, I don't care that much about my DR). Most of the other cars are better in terms of power (both acceleration and top end) but that Megane is simply too light and agile under braking and through the corners. That makes things worse because as soon as some of those Megane drivers realize they haven't got a chance under braking and they're losing time through the corners they just go for the move in some places where they really shouldn't, like the Esses, Degner or in the middle of Spoon, with obvious results.

Me indeed. That warning was a genuine one due to the ones starting behind you.
Confused me at first, fortunately I found a nice bit of space in front of them 👍. Back to practicing for now, hopefully I'll be able to keep up next time ;)

This is why I refer to the Megane Trophy as "The Evil One" since it's been a dominant car in Grp 4 since addition to the game, the quote
comes from a movie I like called Transylvania Twist where a character is actually called The Evil One.

It's a shame next week's race is also Grp4 because again it will be Megane Trophy everywhere.

Thanks, so are you essentially adjusting the Brake Balance throughout the lap?

Yes that’s true. But on the other hand it also were some very intense races against them, mostly starting between 4th and 7th and everytime being able to catch the Car in front before 1st Corner, as long as it was a Mégane(99%) only @trevisio in his TT was a tough Nut and refused to be overtaken ;).

Well it was entertaining but enough of that „me against the Rest of the World“, I was the one feeling like an Alien between all those Bots :D

I can get within 3 tenths using the gt86 and the lexus ... try those
