Cheers, as I say bit more time in that lap to be honest. In terms of replays not saving sometimes it's just a genuine error on upload I think, either PD's side or user side not 100% sure but some are that. Ones that constantly avoid it? I actually have no idea, and I actually don't understand it to be honest with you unless you're trying to hide something and if you're doing that then it's probably not a legitimate lap so I'd question it. Is there anyone actually doing it constantly that you've seen, I've not been paying any particularly notice if someone is constantly doing it?

From my observations in Asian region, L-Shooter's laps are often not available for viewing. There is no doubt in my mind that he is a legit player, incredibly good, its just a shame that he has a predilection for hiding his talent ;)

I don't know why you are so speechless. Sportsmanship has no place in games, and after all.... "it's just a game" :O.

(I'm going to hide now .)
rEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

jkjk

This is just a really rough guess, but maybe it has to do with when they leave the track? I got inconsistent results, but back then when I would set a time, but I'm not satisfied with it, I hit retry or exit the moment I cross the line. Most of the time the replay doesn't upload when I reach top 10

However, when I'm satisfied I'll always brake to a stop after the finish line before I exit, and so far all my replays uploaded whenever I do that.

I’m still conflicted over the fact that we have the same three races stay on for a week.
The upside is that you can harvest SRs
I peaked at 8 clean races in a row.

Hi Sven,

with your 'final stats', where did you got those numbers from?

https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gtsport/user/profile/1495257/history/courseStats

Log in to gran-turismo.com with your psn ID and you can find a lot of information there.

You can also find your profile ID on KP, search your psn ID here

And then copy past the profile ID in the link above
That's a lot faster than logging in to psn and have the annoying 'select all pictures with ... test' to navigate through a bunch of menus.

I think in doing this, you've also debunked the door number theory in that the number you're provided with is your expected finish position.

Oh it probably is if everyone's DR is accurate, puts the same effort into qualifying, sticks to the racing rules and never crashes. I've been bumped and punted off the track so many times I have overtaken a ton of people twice or more in the same race!

It's sort of a measure of how strong the field was as my DR was fairly stable last week. In the races where my door number is very low it was likely in the sub 90 SR.S room or an early race with few DR.A or higher. Of course with all the resets happening, who knows who's really a DR.B driver anymore.

Hello
The course records are bogus. They simply show the lates time you did in the class during a qualifying race.

O for sure he is legit. As I say could be an error if sometimes they go and sometimes don't. Or it could be the offline/online thing you mentioned, I know a few players used to do that in GT Academy? So stay offline practice, until you get a good time or are close to getting a good time then come online and put it in.

Not used the Ford GT yet but I reckon this will give it a run for its money at Interlagos.. 30's are possible with the VW as I only did 15 minutes.

Nice laptime.

Interlagos has never been one of my strong circuits. Maybe i can try to change that now that it is up for a week.

I took the GTI for a spin as well and got it down to 1:31.8

The replay doesnt save when you dont have more space for it, so it doesnt upload.

Check your library and see how much space you have, Think a laptime replay should be about 10-20mb.

I was looking forward to PD putting championship track limits on the new dailies, but seeing the low 31s on the european board, i guess the track limits are set to normal.

Nice! I went with the SLS, so far only 1:32.1 but i'm sure there's at least one second to be had.

Wow that’s impressive! You are really good at this track.

Do you have any tips to reach the limit in the middle sector? It’s so easy to lose so much time there.

so why call people lazy if they aren't in the Top 10 which you did the other day?
You're twisting my argument. I said people who latch onto the notion of having plateaued whilst being considerably off pace is sign of laziness. Like i said, i'm a firm believer that any average guy can succeed in this game. With enough practice and determination.

Respectfully disagree.

How would you define sucess?

Damn, your posts keep making me speechless. I don't know what to say honestly
Good info will do that to people sometimes ;)

In that situation, the GTR driver had all the opportunity to control their own destiny, as opposed to leaving their race in the hands of a driver that just rammed them off the road. It’s like getting bit by a dog, then sticking your hand in its mouth and wondering why it bit you again.

Did you even watch PDs sportsmanship videos?? One of the main things they say, control your destiny. Be pro active in avoiding problem drivers - something the GTR driver failed to do. The notion of rubbing him out on corner exit is extra, but again, sometimes, dirty drivers need to be dealt with. Learning how to deal with dirty drivers while staying inside the rule set to avoid penalties is just another skill required to be successful in open lobby online racing.

Don’t worry, it’s not a diss, it’s a compliment....he’s the best in the business at doing it within the rules

Or do you guys think he should be banned for “dirty driving”

Cheers :)! Erm the best advice for the middle sector is to really open the corners up? It can be very tempting to stay tight or diving into a corner to early. Open them up as best as you can so very wide lines in, which should give optimum speed out of each corner and also a bit more stability as you're turning less so less weight moving around to :).

Took your word on VW, turned out to be pretty nice to drive. It packs some crazy punch in those middle gears.:D
Got 33.7 after few laps, decided to try my luck in race.
Started 3rd, finished 2nd. Aimed at 1st but struggled a bit to keep it steady at merguhlo for 2 laps.
Amazingly, a clean race, p2 tried to push me off in L2, but his penalty ghosted him rofl:lol:

Thanx m8te! I know the Kudos site but thats a handy tip you gave there to check the stats. Cheers

For those who've been doing Race A, is there a way to make it so that TC and BB doesn't reset every time you do a race?
It's nothing major in the grand scheme of things but was just wondering if there was a way

If you run a practice lap before the matchmaking starts, the race will retain the settings from the practice session.

Try setting these settings in the car tuning menu instead of the game options menu. Should stick then.

Hello all, back seeking advice for Race A. Got myself a 1:27.914.

Is this good for being midfield or in top 5 at all and if not roughly what time should I aim for and what BB, I've tried a couple
of settings but the back end seems to like to step out in T1 and the oval corner so some advice would be useful.

Really liking the Ford GT around Interlagos though and hoping I can get a 1:33 after work.

Nurburgring proving a struggle with only a 2:09 on the board, so going to have to try the Evo on this track I think as the Megane Trophy
just isn't giving me a good lap time.
