It's too damn narrow to even have a good race on imo. Same reason I avoid the ring.

It's not too narrow to race and there are plenty of safe passing opportunities if you are careful. Since races started there it has always been a challenging track. That's kinda the point. If it was really that narrow you wouldn't be getting behemoths like say the Bentley Continental GT racing in the 12h there . It does seem like PD has narrowed it a hair compared to the real life track.

Really need to work on my qualification time. I am 2 seconds off the pace of the guy who won this race, but I finished less than 9 seconds behind him at the end of the race? Buggered if I know how I am supposed to gain 2 seconds though in qualification though.



Lexus does seem quite good though in race trim though. Looks after its rear tyres slightly better than the Ford GT, and has better fuel economy. That and the Corvette does seem able to just about match the Ford GT.

This SR is such a joke. Doing race B at Dragon Tail, other people keep messing up the bus stop and having huge accidents. I either get caught in the accident because I’m too close, or if I leave space, I get rammed from behind. Either way, I’m picking up massive penalties, went from SR 70 down to 40 in two races because of other people’s accidents.

Other than pulling over to the side and not racing, I’m not really sure what to do at this point.

I'd say the most annoyed I get, are the players that glid over to squeeze me to the edge of track. Also the ones that keep bumping when side by side. There's a red proximity alert, as well as my car, to show the space next to them, is occupied.
DT is wide enough everywhere but the bus stop.

The Hyundai Genesis Gr4 for Race B is a lot of fun. I don’t know where it stacks up against the rest in terms of raw pace, but it soaks up the curbs and bumps better than any car I’ve driven yet. It lets you have fun with some “alternative” lines

Agreed @twitcher. I tried it out for the first time yesterday and it’s a nice car at that track.

I want to use the Ferrari (just because I like driving it) but I find it a tad unpredictable when it comes to how much kerb it is willing to take and remain stable.

I love the track but I’m a bit slow and watching the replays of the top 10 guys I must be slowing too much at nearly every corner. Plus the fact that in races I don’t take the bus stop without a tap of the brakes (so as not to ruin my entire race with a mistake)

It's the "sleeper" of Gr. 4.
I find the RC F has the best virtual shocks/dampers. The Genesis is a sweet racer though.

Which server are you on? In the EU servers, it was pretty easy for me to get out of DR C when my SR was at S. B/S is far harder because this pool is more limited than the others, stretching the matchmaking very thin by pairing you with B/A and B/B drivers.

Last night went from sr 99 to sr46 in few races. Mostly due to others crashing in front. Ghosting is very weird now.. Comes on and off when ever. Mostly comes off even though the car in question is still all over the place.

Managed even to get clean race star and a red SR in same race..

The natural line out of the corner makes us contact, if he had lifted seeing as I was alongside and fractionally ahead, he would have slotted behind me on the natural line out of the corner.

If taking the natural line out of the corner causes you to make contact with another car then a different rule applies:
- you have to leave a car's width space to your opponent!

The fact that he apologizes does not mean that you are right and he was wrong, in this case you were the one not leaving enough room to avoid the contact, in situations like this one in real live, you would have gotten a penalty.

Well leaving my 'dive bombing' , onwards to the one make veyron race. Here I leave room, no dive bombs, nothing naughty. Yet I get shunted by the same Audi guy 3 times, one into an inadverdant dive bomb which gains me a place, then he has me off at the left right after the start. He then messes up the bus stop, I re pass (cleanly) and he has me off again. I gave him room. Later, a 'fake' dive bomb has me gain a place on the last corner. Hopefully I wont see him again as he got downrated on SR and I went SR B to A.

When I raced the 250 GTO, other drivers exited corners with little to no wheelspin. I tried everything I could think of but no dice. How is everyone exiting corners so quickly with the 250 GTO?

I had a ten second lead with the RS01 on Bathurst, but a sloppy pit entry and a jolt of pain in my neck distracted my nearly perfect race and I lost by 2 seconds to an AMG GT3. I must say the AMG is stable and can withstand the downhill sector easy.

I am seeing the unthinkable and a race with no Veyron Gr 4 in it and the Megane's down the midfield?

That's the sort of race I can only dream of on the EU boards as so far Veyron central over here.

It's exceptionally poor racecraft to put your car into a space where there is currently another car (or, due to overspeed, will shortly be)...

... but ultimately, unless the game penalises you for it, you've done nothing wrong. However much we want to having nice racing standards with overlaps and "right" to a line and all that, the only judge is the game. The game only awards penalties for contact, off-track driving and overtaking under yellow flags. So if you don't make contact with anyone (or they don't make contact with you), don't drive off the track and don't overtake under yellows, you won't get a penalty.


For what it's worth, had you done that at real Interlagos, you'd probably have got away with it. But if you'd done it at a street circuit, you'd have just smashed a car into the barriers. Even in the real world, there'd have been a good chunk of discussion about it and the situation would be contingent on the outcome - which doesn't make that much sense, as side-swiping a car outside the confines of the track (the white lines, plus whatever margins the stewards decide for that event) should be treated the same whether there's eighty feet of concrete runoff or an endless ribbon of armco.

In this situation the game has decided that you made contact with a car which then drove off the track. That's a penalty and pretty much always has been (and if you're on the receiving end, you can guarantee the other driver gets a penalty for it, by opening your steering and ensuring you drive off-track for a short time).

But then you only recorded the replay and only from one angle. Replays do not contain any record of penalties. Next time, the replay should be backup to your live race recording.

I see more Huracans than Veyrons in my region/races. Where players were using the Trophy, it's like those same players have chosen the Huracan. Many can't get a handle on the thing.

I instantly improved my 458 qually time by a couple of tenths using the Lambo. It stays far more stable through the bus stop.

I'll be racing the 458 though. Maybe see you in sport later?

EU is a Veyron one make on race B. Usually, I'm the only Huracan on the grid, with the occasional GTR from time to time.
