No wonder you gain so many places from the back. Shame on you sir, shame on you! Picking on all those DR/Ds. Yer a bully! :p
It's a game within itself. Like the Campaign Missions: "Try to gain as many places by the finish. *Fail= Contact with cars, Going off track, Hitting walls*"

Edit:
Got Fastest lap in this one

The next, after falling to B/B, I got put back in with A driver's. Started the afternoon at B/S. Which is BS, with all the shenanigans going on.

Attempted the fatal Bathurst Race C. Punted off T1 Lap. Punted off final chicane. Forced into the wall on the straight after T1. Walked away 5 places up and kindly recieved an accumulative 25s of penalties for being forced off. I was expecting it though. GOOD FUN

Heres my 'dive bomb' from other angles. I think it's not a bad move, I got a better exit off the senna S and in the vantage reckoned it was the only chance I'd get on the GT40 seeing as the SLS messed up his exit also. I think I'm well on the apex before any contact and it's not as if he didnt see me, he gives me room then turns in on me. No penalty, as for revenge, he did apologise and had he used his brakes instead of using me as a brake he would have had me after the Senna S.

Ah, so you must be winding the gears out pretty much. I know in the races I was in with you you were stretching the lead well. I'll have to watch your replay as I was briefly going to 5th on the straights. But that hesitation during shifts really costs you time. My problem was with the standing start, I never got it figured out. I tried with TC1 and slightly revving the engine and would still just spin the tires. What is the secret? I started on pole for a few races but everyone just flies by at the start. I should have saved a race replay to watch what others did but I forgot.
They're using TCS 2 at the start, then switching to 1 when they get going.

Had a pretty good Gr.4 race at Dragon Trail this evening.. decided at bit late to enter a race, just 2 and a bit minutes to go before the start, so after loading the track there wasn’t enough time for a quali lap. I had to start 16th and ended up in 5th :) So a strong result and promising for when I do have time for a quali lap and start a bit more towards the front end of the field. It may help that I’ve done hundreds of laps around the track in the past so I have some decent track knowledge...

You absolutely must hold the inside line when overtaking the Ford GT, you pretty much forced him off the track. First overtake was ok in my opinion, he should have realised he’d ceded his position and held the wider line. Edit: upon watching for a second time I think the first one is maybe six and half a dozen, the jury is still out.

And your car says “cock” on the front bumper? Really?

'Cockpit' , you just cant see the 'pit'. The same sponsor appears on the Castrol toyota supra I believe.

I still contest the corner was mine. The natural line out of the corner makes us contact, if he had lifted seeing as I was alongside and fractionally ahead, he would have slotted behind me on the natural line out of the corner. Note the Mazda later in the replay divebombs me and cuts the senna s to slam into the side of me after i 'outbraked' the guy into the Senna S.

I'm finding in DR B races this is the norm. More often than not it's me on the receiving end, like the mazda guy later in the clip.

Well, B/S is known to match the name :D

Your race was particularly dirty (B/S? :D), but you also seem to miss the line of overtaking: you can only take over other car's line after you cleared your side.
He has every right to go full throttle in his line, as long as you haven't cleared ahead and taken it.
There's no such thing as ceding the line when half of his car is still next to you.
Had you rubbed off like that in real car, your wheel would probably pick side of his fender apart.
I'd understand if you couldn't see the SLS as turned into his line on the straight, happens to everyone.
But next overtake you do the same..

That French guy tho, he went out of his way to punt you off lol

Ok a question, I am now gaining DR points very well from my races but I am on cap because my
SR is B.

Which of the three races has the best chance of SR improvement, A is a bit close comfort racing
and C is having a few incidents on Lap 1 so how's the SR in Race B looking, anyone got any
tips?

The optimal line out of the corner made you contact.

Problem is that when another car occupies that space on the race track then the optimal line is not available to be taken. It is your responsibility to maintain your car in the lane that allows the other car his lane without contact by you.

He had no obligation to lift and concede the line to you because you "wanted the faster optimum line", you had the obligation to remain in your lane and not contact the other car which you did not do. In my opinion your fault.

Beware. Race C is an SR killer! Hitting a wall and hurting yourself isn't enough at Mt Panorama. You will get a big time penalty and a red SR. I've gone from 99 to 41 in 4 races, without drilling anyone. It's a fun track, but damn. It's not like I was doing all that badly (top 5 3 out of 4 times).

It's too damn narrow to even have a good race on imo. Same reason I avoid the ring.

Come to brands, plenty of room to go off track and not hit a wall

I'm loving B at Dragon Trail Seaside this week, enough to want to put in a good few races each day. Did it in the Megane (losing ground in slipstream, likely to punt people in corners) and Veyron (heavy but surges out of corners). Could have had 1st if not for a silly mistake, but about 10 others could probably have said the same, lots of positions changing all race.
I prefer it to Gardens, but find it odd the Veyron is meta. Probably because the right hand T3 over crest and the chicane catches out a lot of FR and lighter cars e.g a Viper qualified 1st, and that same Viper was facing backward in the dreaded chicane 2 laps later.

The Veyron has big torque numbers. With awd grip, it'll pull nicely up the big hill and last turn.

It's an awesome momentum track.

Exactly this. I rarely resort to divebombing because of this. I only go for it when i know the driver in front of me knows what he is doing and when i think i can do it while still making the apex on the inside.

Perfect example of me pulling a divebomb and the guy in front reacting exactly how he should.

Lap 3 T4 Interlagos at 03:25

I’m glad I’m being praised for my approach aha (this is me ruzzwald)
Thing is when your racing you ain’t alone I’ve always got one eye ahead and one eye on the radar or anything

If someone is outbraking me (especially from a distance) is like to think they are very close if not on the limit to mak that corner
So if I turn in chances are he can’t stop any quicker cos that’s as much as he can stop already so there is a good chance with his compromised on the limit line I’ll be able to take the gain in the exit of the corner
You have to be aware though sometimes That’s the key your racing it’s not no you go first you’ve gotta take it and they are gonn try and take it off you
Also at Interlagos all the corners really allow this to happen you take on the entry chances are you lose on exit (if you are pressured racing fast pace on the limit)
So it’s gotta be expected

I'm fairly certain I remember you from GT6 days? (Z4 endurance races?)

Yeah we did races with GTP hamiltonR dunno if he still plays

We had great race in some Megane trophies on gt6 at one of the street circuits (I remember because I came too out of us two but every lap we battled I think you got taken out by someone in the end) I think anyways haha
Yeah those bmw leagues or something
Or the one makes in those bmw gt2 cars!

First time I've been able to try out sport mode and the "daily" races. Only ran Race B so far as it's got a car that I have some good mileage on already (Audi TT), but think I'll have to try out some other cars soon and start learning how to drive effectively with them too just to mix things up as using the same car for many races will lose its appeal after a while. The best laps seem to be done using the Veyron, so I'll need to run that car more so I can get more of out of it (and some other cars too).

Sport mode nearly recreate’s the fun, PD just need to become a little more creative.

Yeah I love sport mode tbh it’s a brilliant way of doing things, the weekly change has taken the extra bit out but every challenge is welcome, I loved coming oneah day having to learn a new track car combo,
Not gonna lie though I miss those old one makes with the tyre compound strats and Spa haha and weather was all good fun!
