You ever have one of those races where pretty much everything goes wrong?

I had 3 people spin out in front of me and I couldn't avoid them. Also kind of cut off 1 guy a little. Managed to pick up a penalty for each hit, as well as lose a ton of time :)

Oh well time to try and work my way back up the SR rating again.

It would be easy to comment on the Ford GT incident and say it was avoidable and the fact that the Italian corvette looks like mad fun lag, The best thing to do is just laugh when it comes to the pits crash and the first crash! Amusing to watch, not so much to experience!

Veyrons everywhere in most of the races I've been in. Must be an EU thing? I'm trying other cars and the Ferrari I'm finding can keep up and pass. The Huracan also, but that oversteer tho. The Porsche I got a 4th with, it's a demon on the brakes but so slow.

I did it! Last to first baby! :D

Was an intense fight for the whole duration of the race. Huge shoutout to that white and red Veyron you see drop back at the start :D He was at a previous race as well. He win that race and we had a tiny chatter. I told him that I wasn't qualifying for fun so that could be why he dropped back with me. He ended fourth so that's a great result as well!

The only frustrating part is that of all the things that share function has to skip, it was my final overtake for first at the bus stop :mad::mad: it was so epic why is it that it had to be the scene that wasn't recorded?! :banghead::banghead::banghead:🤬🤬🤬

I included the post-race chat because I had a tiny rub with the 3rd placing Veyron. Seems like I gave them too little space while attacking them so I wanted to show that I said sorry afterwards. They were cool with it, so thanks :)

Nice driving!

You saved the reply right? (I save every time I come first). If so, you can just skip back to that bit, same view, race details on, and then record that bit.

Oh, and congratulations! :)

Thanks! :D

Sadly no :( I don't save them because I keep forgetting to free up space in the library. Also that I forget to save in general :nervous:
I'll try to remind myself next time. It really was a waste not being able to save the replay of the move all the way

No idea, had no previous with the other player was making my way along nicely and bang, made jump as I didn't even see the other car coming up on me due to the over speed as he never braked. I appeared to be his brake?

I’ve been in a whole bunch of races with the guy in the baby blue M4 that you passed at the end of lap 1. He loooves contact. In fact I owe him about 20 divebombs. I’ve had a bunch of decent battles with him too, but they almost always result in him squeezing his nose in for contact on the inside if you let him have it. He’s one of the few fast drivers I see often that I know I have to be aggressive with or he will squeeze me right off the track.

Great job avoiding him and taking the win!

Sorry but had to laugh, I had one exactly the same, was battling for second and things just went pear shaped and finished last,

I had an idea of how he drove since he was the main reason I was making up so many positions at L1 in the previous races  it's also why you saw me get really cautious at the hairpin in L1, which fortunately didn't end in a crash because I can trust the Veyron behind me to know what was going on :)
Thanks btw! :D

Onwards with GR.3 testing on the mountain. I managed to squeeze in 12 races yesterday, tired now!

Mazda Atenza is decently stable, not fast though. In the first race I was stuck behind a Ferrari that kept swerving and blocking for 3 laps. The Mazda can't out draft a Ferrari on the straight, yet can out brake on the downhill. However the driver chose to run into me every time until he bounced off giving me a penalty, then passed me again in the pit with the Ferrari's superior fuel use :banghead: So he bounced off me again after another slow lap over the mountain. He had me down to 2:12 laps instead of 2:07. 13th place seems to be very special as people will fight tooth and nail to keep it.
The second race I could go a bit faster, yet it was one of those dirty ones where every pass the car I overtook felt the need to give a vengeful bump. No penalty that one yet SR dropped again by a point to 91, barely hanging on to the 'fast' rooms.

Maclaren 650S wasn't very fun to drive. I could only get a high 2:06 with drafting, not fast, not stable, yet despite an accident unghosting right on my bumper it got me back to SR.99 in two races. DR dropped to 163 points from going back down to DR.B

Mercedes AMG however is a dream to drive over the mountain. So stable, nice speed, great consistency, DR.A status saved. I improved my best lap in the AMG and also got the fastest lap in the second race. Races were dirty and I did get bumped a couple times, SR went down in the first race by 6 and back to 99 in the second.

Mercedes SLS AMG what a difference! It's so much slower. Thanks to drafting I could get into the 2:06 lap times, however in the AMG I could get into 2:05 without drafting. However since the races were getting less dirty I didn't do too much worse with it over all.

Mitsubishi Lancer is surprisingly good on the mountain. I improved my best lap time again and had a few great close races. Unfortunately thanks to stuff like this my SR dropped a little to 94.

3 sec penalty for getting hit at the apex, I can't go further to the right...
Only 1 sec penalty for avoiding the accident in the second race, yet I guess still heavy SR deduction for just that.

Last of the day, Nissan GT-R. Not bad either, fast yet with a lot of under steer. Matchmaking was giving up as well this time of night. The first race only had 13 people starting me at 11. The second race had SR.A mixed in to fill up the room.
Just like with the Lancer, Ford GTs were messing up the race. First one a Ford comes on my inside on the downhill. Since he's still a bit behind I keep my ground on the outside staying near the edge, however that's not enough room for him. He bumps me onto the grass, yet since I saw it coming I manage to absorb and get all wheels back on the tarmac before the 150 marker. Of course Mr Ford then tries to out brake me and hits traffic in front. I brake on time yet since he bumps two cars of in front he spins and instantly slowed turns into my path. I manage to hold on, Mr Ford manages to crash 3 people with his poor control.
In the second race a Ford messes up again in T2. He ghosts and of course moves right into the racing line. I have people behind me thus have little choice but to keep my line and its too late to brake. He unghosts 1 inch from my bumper with a massive speed difference, thanks PD. I spin out, drop back to last way behind the field then climb back up to 7th. 20 seconds slower than my previous race in the Nissan.
SR back to 99, DR ended at 32.9K after almost dropping back to DR.B.

Despite the dirty driving, there were the awesome battles as well. I had one amazing over take on the downhill. I passed the other car on the downhill, yet a bit too soon. He came back on my outside to out brake me. I saw him coming, started braking a little early to undercut him perfectly at the bottom and out pace him on the outside to the final corner. Great stuff. Then I accidentally deleted the replay :(

9 more cars to go. It seems the faster aliens are avoiding the race as the 19:07 time set on Monday remains unchallenged. 1 mostly clean race yesterday, rest was still chaos in the back and sometimes in the front as well.

Just a quick clip from race C, I got a 3 second penalty for this, I am the green Aston in front to make it clear. Was it my fault PD?

Was I imagining things? Tell me I was imagining things! I could swear he didn't get a penalty for that, unless your replay doesn't show the penalties? That's usually work bulk time penalties. Maybe the game can't distinguish between a car and a missile? :banghead:.

Ok race report time. I hadn't planned on doing any more weeklies this week, but finishing on the mountain with SR 72 left a bad taste in my mouth. Figured since my qualifying time at DTS was so bad, I'd just start up the back @Sven Jurgens style (you've started a trend mate ). I started off with the M4 in P15, which was last place. Grid was a mix of DR/B, C and D, all SR/A.

Bubba back pedals, pulls up the light and I get the hole shot off the line in the left lane! Erm, wait, the M4 is a pro mod yeh 👍? OK anyway, we all tear off towards the first chicane. I politely hang back, pick a line through the melee and hit the loud pedal. The driving I was seeing in front was somewhat erratic, so I was driving conservatively around the rest of the traffic and picking them off one by one when they found a wall or the grass. I had someone coming up behind me fairly recklessly, so I pulled over out the way and tapped the brakes. He went sailing by and into a wall. I never saw them again :dopey:. The M4 is not the fastest thing out there, but it was very controllable, so it was fairly easy to stay out of trouble. I kinda expect to get passed, so it was pretty sweet when coming up to the tight right hander before the bus stop some missile comes screaming up to beat me to the corner, only to find me quietly duck underneath them when they go wide and come out in front. Freaks me out when I was doing that multiple times, because my race craft is pretty piss poor . Finished P11. Clean race bonus too!

SR up 5, DR down about 300. I still call that a result :D.

Second race this time with the NSX. Dunno if it's the new tyre model or what, but the big Honda isn't as sure footed as it used to be and has a tendency to lock up the rear. Started in P12/16 on a mixed grid of everyone but the aliens.

Second race was fairly similar to the first, except no where near as controllable. I was still in line for a clean race bonus, till I was slammed into the outer wall in the middle of the bus stop by some form of road roach. No penalties. Finished P9. GTS optimistically put #2 as my door number.

DR up about 60, SR up another 5 and back into SR/S !

Final race for the night and I thought I'd give the rexy a go. Dang that thing handles less like a race car and more like a production car with all the body roll ! Real unhappy if you bounce it off the kerbs :yuck:. Started on the grid P10 with a mixed grid of DR/C and D with an A and B in P1 and P2.

This race was by far the most aggressive of the three races. A lot of forced passes and shoving. I lost about 3 places at the chicane by letting the dive bombers and the rammers past, then made up those spots on the exit. I just kept to the same formula of running my race, backing off if the car in front was too close, and taking advantage of the "overly enthusiastic" and letting them by so they can crash themselves and others off. After 3 goes at the bus stop and having it up on 2 wheels on the exit, on the final go I threaded the needle with my right foot pushing a dent into the foot well and exited with my wheels between the kerb and the wall! No bounce!!! Was expecting a penalty but none was forthcoming. Musta sucked the paint off the wall I was so close to the corner .

The strategy had me finish P8 with a clean race bonus. Surprising, because I really didn't feel in control of the Subaru. My daily suby has less body roll than that thing! Still a result in my book <happy dance>.

DR up another 100 odd and SR up to 85. Another day visiting DR/C :D.

I was in a Race B, where a Veyron just ten pin bowled me and 3 other cars and got no penalty.

Anyway, bad bad racing by me last night. I hit the exit barrier on the rhs for about seven straight races. Unbelievable.
I was just off. The Atenza wasn't "feeling" or sounding like it did the day before. I felt at one with it. FH at happened? I was just not in tune.

So, threw in the towel, updated the "Accord" livery and stepped back into the ring. Much better. Could be the starting positions earlier. I was in 14th and 15th all those races. Players were just ruining my exit speeds. Entering corners way too slow in a B/S grid.

Started the last couple from 6th. Got a 6th place in the first one and a 2nd place this last race. About to start 10th and I'm going to bed, right after I cross the finish line.

That was incredibly consistent and smooth driving! Love how the 458's sound on lift off and downshift!

From what I saw yes he got no penalty for that during the race but I definitely got a 3 second penalty appear as he hit me, could it be bad lag? I wasn't too chuffed that's for sure had been slowly regaining SR and one bad race I lost a fair chuck down for SR B to C, to be honest the whole race was a mess seemed to be a lot of weird/stupid driving going down.

If he goes off track or hits a wall within 3 seconds of you hitting him with your rear bumper, you get the penalty....

The system is incredibly simple. The car that made contact last (if more than 2 involved) and stays on the road gets a penalty when the other car(s) go off road or hit a wall within 3 seconds of last contact.

I've not been confident enough to race many races on the Mount Panorama track, but it's fun and really pretty when looking at this with the beautiful Ford GT in the Le Mans livery. I was just joy driving, not pushing for anything really.
Enjoy and have a nice weekend. See you in Race B and maybe Race C ... :-)

Did few on Asian server with mixed bag on grid of S/S,A/S to E/S, nobody was driving one in those races.

Interesting. I've had this strange feeling before, sometimes after a few races or later the same day or the next day. The car feels completely different, doesnt do what it did before. I'm like a second or 2 away from what I was doing. Baffling. At interlagos I found nearly a second in small gains over the course of several practice and qualifying sessions. Later after a few hours away I couldn't get near anything. Is it me or the game messing with me?

Great racing.

I need to create another account as well to try something new - like no qualify.

Heard it during watching this, but has anyone else noticed during races that the noises of other players impacts seems a bit different from before? Like "closer" but probably just louder? I'd suggest I might be going mad but thats already happened so it can't be that - or can it?
