Was I imagining things? Tell me I was imagining things! I could swear he didn't get a penalty for that, unless your replay doesn't show the penalties? That's usually work bulk time penalties. Maybe the game can't distinguish between a car and a missile?

Ok race report time. I hadn't planned on doing any more weeklies this week, but finishing on the mountain with SR 72 left a bad taste in my mouth. Figured since my qualifying time at DTS was so bad, I'd just start up the back
@Sven Jurgens style (you've started a trend mate

). I started off with the M4 in P15, which was last place. Grid was a mix of DR/B, C and D, all SR/A.
Bubba back pedals, pulls up the light and I get the hole shot off the line in the left lane! Erm, wait, the M4 is a pro mod yeh 👍? OK anyway, we all tear off towards the first chicane. I politely hang back, pick a line through the melee and hit the loud pedal. The driving I was seeing in front was somewhat erratic, so I was driving conservatively around the rest of the traffic and picking them off one by one when they found a wall or the grass. I had someone coming up behind me fairly recklessly, so I pulled over out the way and tapped the brakes. He went sailing by and into a wall. I never saw them again

. The M4 is not the fastest thing out there, but it was very controllable, so it was fairly easy to stay out of trouble. I kinda expect to get passed, so it was pretty sweet when coming up to the tight right hander before the bus stop some missile comes screaming up to beat me to the corner, only to find me quietly duck underneath them when they go wide and come out in front. Freaks me out when I was doing that multiple times, because my race craft is pretty piss poor

. Finished P11. Clean race bonus too!
SR up 5, DR down about 300. I still call that a result

.
Second race this time with the NSX. Dunno if it's the new tyre model or what, but the big Honda isn't as sure footed as it used to be and has a tendency to lock up the rear. Started in P12/16 on a mixed grid of everyone but the aliens.
Second race was fairly similar to the first, except no where near as controllable. I was still in line for a clean race bonus, till I was slammed into the outer wall in the middle of the bus stop by some form of road roach. No penalties. Finished P9. GTS optimistically put #2 as my door number.
DR up about 60, SR up another 5 and back into SR/S

!
Final race for the night and I thought I'd give the rexy a go. Dang that thing handles less like a race car and more like a production car with all the body roll

! Real unhappy if you bounce it off the kerbs

. Started on the grid P10 with a mixed grid of DR/C and D with an A and B in P1 and P2.
This race was by far the most aggressive of the three races. A lot of forced passes and shoving. I lost about 3 places at the chicane by letting the dive bombers and the rammers past, then made up those spots on the exit. I just kept to the same formula of running my race, backing off if the car in front was too close, and taking advantage of the "overly enthusiastic" and letting them by so they can crash themselves and others off. After 3 goes at the bus stop and having it up on 2 wheels on the exit, on the final go I threaded the needle with my right foot pushing a dent into the foot well and exited with my wheels between the kerb and the wall! No bounce!!! Was expecting a penalty but none was forthcoming. Musta sucked the paint off the wall I was so close to the corner

.
The strategy had me finish P8 with a clean race bonus. Surprising, because I really didn't feel in control of the Subaru. My daily suby has less body roll than that thing! Still a result in my book <happy dance>.
DR up another 100 odd and SR up to 85. Another day visiting DR/C
