My god... what have they done to the Le Mans track limits? This is absolutely absurd, you can totally cut every corner now.

It was literally perfect before. Shame to see them bending their will to the below average players who can't take the heat... they're the loudest ones after all.

at this moment I'm on 4th place in EU ...with automatic gearbox :lol:

Look at this video. I’m conflicted over this move and as the end result was that the other drive got sideways, I should not have pushed it like this.
BUT the game gave me no penalty, a clean race and SR and DR gain.
So whatever algorithm is the judge, this was a clean move.. discuss ...

My quick daily story relates to this morning. So last night I got nudged and a certain player went by me.
This morning that SAME GUY was right ahead of me at p9.
I knew last night my race pace was better. I am not gonna lie. Thoughts of dirtiness crossed my mind.
Then I thought I’ll show him the right way to do things.
I know he remembers me because he stayed in the lobby last night for a few secs as I was typing out I need to see that replay and when it came up he left.
Anyways I was on him turn 1lap 1 but waited and waited. Feinted out on the long straight like I was gonna take his inside. Got right up on him in the turn he pushed me wide last night. Never touched him. Never needed to cu he finally cracked and ran into the grass and the wall!
The second cup of coffee this morning after that race tasted amazing!

Way to aggressive, bad move. And then you didn't give the position back and you should have.

Getting matched with a lot of guys with top 10 times in Asia/pacific is leading to a bit too much mid pack nonsense in the group c cars, lots of guys swerving at me as im going past on the straights.

I run in the same zone, but after 10pm AEST. Like you I was running Group C. I noticed the grids are getting fewer and fewer low level DR, and fewer people using the Group C cars. I'm a DR/D and I had nothing but DR/A and B in front of me. I basically set my goal to gain a couple of positions. There was some chaos, but generally not too bad. My experience with DR/Bs has been pushing, shoving and dive bombing. Not much of that at least. With so many higher levels than me, I knew I didn't have to finish in the top half to get points, I just had to finish about where I was (P12).

As one of the below average players you are whining about, I find the track limits a god send. I can understand strict limits on the inside of corners, but when you run a bit wide, a line that looses you time anyway, to be slapped with a time penalty on top of that is pretty disheartening.

Completely agree the track limits were a bit too harsh on the outside on a few corners and needed a tweak but they went too far and now you can cut so many corners to the point where some people seem to drive a different track to what im looking at
 
@Winnie847 :) from my point of view, whole race, man I got around 8+ secs in pits over you... your last lap though... I still don't dare to push car to the limits, I know I could get under 3:20s in 908...

I mean what did you expect to happen when you abandon every etiquette in the book with that diagonal divebomb. The reason for no punitive action is that you hit the guy in the side and he didn't go beyond the track! Dirty drivers can do this all day long and the only antidote is to deliberately go out of bounds as the victim, which is counter-intuitive!

So instead of that ridiculous 22(?) page thread where a 17% win ratio for a guy isn't enough, how about the community starts to raise their voice about the penalty system that clearly needs further refinement. But i know why, i bet the majority of players have no intentions of racing clean and game the shoddy penalty system as a means to artificially close the skill gap because they can't be arsed to improve. Or wait for it... "plateaued". :D

If it's in any way your belief that your move was fine just because you did not receive a penalty, then you're one of the guys I will certainly avoid to race with. It's not the game that regarded your move as "clean" - it's a scr*** up penalty system that's getting exploited.
 
Anyone ever use the Group 1 Alpine? That car doesn't seem to get much attention.

...without custom gearbox settings it is not particular good, if I remember correctly it is similar to a diesel engined car.

The gearbox on the Alpine is weird in general. I didn't have the patience to figure out how to set it up well. The default settings worked fine for me at Sarthe. The car can't beat the low end acceleration of an R18 or 919 but the top end speed is much stronger.

I bet it'll be us A/A+ drivers taking the blame again because the lower ranks "don't stand a chance against us" and that "we're aliens anyway we can just avoid the incidents" :D

I've been checking but no update on KudosPrime website yet, unless someone get's to it before me will post as soon as I know.
 
That move looks pretty rough. I don’t think you need the penalty system to confirm it.

The other driver would have had no idea you were going to be there seeing as where you came from. He had no real way of avoiding the collision but you could have
 
Thank you for the feedback on the clip I posted on the dive I did.
This is not how I drive normally and I absolutely repent and recognized that even as I posted. The DR and SR gains I have had the last several weeks is by driving extremely patiently.
I apologized to the driver and as many of you noted just because the game does not penalize it, it’s a bad move.

Quick question and slightly off topic, how are you guys checking your DR and SR points? I can't seem to find that anywhere in the game.

Absolutely right and I wanted too but as there was only a half lap left, he ended up so far back so I did not want to wait on him and loose more positions than the one I would surrender.
But, yes it was a bad move. No excuses there.
